Very enjoyable day! The falls were beautiful, butterflies, birds and I even saw a monkey on the 7 level of the waterfalls. This is a really popular spots with the locals so go on a weekday if you can. Jeerawat was an enthusiastic and attentive guide.

This was an overall great experience. Our tour guide Ann was excellent. She was informative throughout the museum and the railway. Ann also allowed enough time at each location. We were able to hike all 7 levels of the falls with enough time to pick certain levels to relax without being rushed. I really appreciated this as I was concerned we wouldn't have enough time. Not only was Ann a great tour guide, she seemed like a really cool person too. I would request Ann if you can for the best day out.

We were hesitant to join a tour group to see the Erawan falls because when we have booked tours on previous vacations, we found that where we wanted to spend our time was different than the rest of the group, and we found ourselves bored while waiting for everyone else to finish the scheduled attraction before moving on to the next one. We are glad we pushed forward and scheduled this tour anyway. It proved to be a most convenient way to see all three attractions. The time seemed to be perfectly allocated. Meeting Anne, our guide, at the National Stadium was easy. The van was most comfortable. The chairs reclined. The AC worked great. It was such a comfortable way to travel- the time passed quickly. The stop at JEATH museum was interesting. I wish there was a bit more content and the museum - this is a piece of history that is important to immortalize. Bridge on the river Kwai was also a good stop. We were allowed to walk out onto the bridge and train tracks. And of course the highlight of the trip was Erawan Falls. Anne gave us four and a half hours at the falls! This was plenty of time to visit all seven of the tiers. She was most attentive and polite and answered all our questions. She made sure we understood the “rules” to the Falls so we could enjoy them without incident. We had just enough time at the end to sit in one of the restaurants and enjoy a smoothie after a long day in the water and sun. It was a most enjoyable day and experience! We would not hesitate to do this same tour again! Thank you Anne!

A great day but a long one. Rach and the driver were excellent in looking after us all. The transport was very comfortable with efficient air con and Rach was very considerate in providing toilet and refreshment stops. The morning itinerary did feel a little rushed, so if you really want to soak up the history of the Bridge over the river Kwai and the museum etc, the full day tour may be better. That said we had a decent amount of time at the waterfalls which are stunning and well worth the journey. A great day all round .

This tour was amazing. I travelled with my parents who dont speak English and still they really enjoyed it. RACH, our guide, was super attentive, nice and organized. He paid attention to every detail and also informed very well throught the whole tour, giving us enough time to enjoy the expeience. I highly recommend this tour with Rach. Finally, the driver was also super nice and punctual, the vehicle was clean and comfortable, which is important in tours that require long driving. We learned a lot and had a great experience in the waterfalls. Thank you RACH!

It was a nice day, gets you out of the busy city and the waterfalls were spectacular. You are in the van for a long drive so be prepared for that but it was comfortable and stops were made for snacks and bathroom breaks.

Fab day out

Once you figure out where to meet in the morning, take the metro it is so much easier and cheaper, as we found out on the way back to the hotel, the day is really good. The guide Alice was really good and very informative on all the places we went but gave everyone free time to do what they like. For us the waterfalls were spectacular and a must see. Lunch was great and they cater for vegans (make sure you explain no fish sauce) throughly recommend it but the museum could do with a dusting of the pictures 😉

Disappointing Tour — Not Really Guided

Disappointing Tour — Not Really Guided I booked an English-guided tour to the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Erawan Waterfalls. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. On the way, one of the participants was almost left behind at the first “technical stop” — the driver would have driven off if I hadn’t alerted him. The guide’s English was extremely limited. He only repeated the short explanations already written in the museum at the bridge and couldn’t answer any of our questions or provide additional context. Later, we were taken to the railway tracks to see a train pass, but again, there were no explanations at all. Quite frustrating. After another hour’s drive, we arrived at Erawan National Park. The guide led us to the park entrance, repeated what was already written on the signs in Thai and English, and gave no information whatsoever about the park, the wildlife, or the waterfalls. He simply told us to be back at the entrance by 4 p.m. for the return trip and then left us on our own. Such a shame. This was not a guided tour — the “guide” acted more like the driver’s assistant, nothing more. I do not recommend this tour if it is organized by TripGuru.

This trip is totally worth it for the amazing waterfall alone! Such a beautiful place and was so lovely to chill and swim. Our guide Cherry was great and made sure we had everything we needed. If you are in Bangkok you should definitely do this trip.

Overall, the waterfall trip was fantastic! Our guide was good and informative, especially during the first few stops, which were rich with history and really interesting. Unfortunately, we felt a bit rushed at times due to another group arriving late, which threw off the schedule. That said, the national park was absolutely beautiful, and the place we had lunch was excellent — great food and very quick service. We did have to rush through some of the later waterfalls, which was a bit disappointing, but despite the time crunch, the scenery was stunning and the experience memorable. With better coordination between groups, this would be a perfect day. Still very much worth it

Niranya was an amazing, helpful guide! She provided detailed descriptions of every activity, answered every question and made sure everyone was fine during whole trip. Waterfalls were heaven on earth, level 3 and 4 were the best for swimming!

The waterfall is a must see when visiting Thailand! The tour allowed plenty of time to explore the whole waterfall and enjoy and amazing experience just watch out for the fish.

Good tour to Erawan Falls and River Kwai

If you have only one free day in Bangkok, this tour is a great way to visit the Erawan Falls and River Kwai area. Please plan in advance well your transportation from/to your hotel to the tour’s pick up/drop off point because it might be challenging depending on where you are staying. The tour guy stepped in at end funding us a taxi back to our hotel, but it is better not having to worry about this in advance.
