- There is a strict dress code to enter Bang Pa-In Summer Palace. Shoulders and ankles need to be covered. No sleeveless shirts, shorts, ripped jeans, tight trousers, leggings, slippers, sandals, or revealing tops, otherwise you won't be allowed in.
- Bangkok’s traffic can be heavily congested. As our tours run on a group basis, we can wait a maximum of 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. After this grace period, the guide will begin the tour. If you cannot make it on time, please let us know before the tour starts. If possible, we’ll do our best to reschedule you for the next available time slot or day, though a rescheduling fee will apply. No refund will be provided in case of late arrival.
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour start time are eligible for a full refund. For cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or in case of no-show, no refund will be issued.
- Our tours operate rain or shine, as tropical rain showers in Thailand usually don’t last long. If it rains heavily, we try to seek shelter and will continue as soon as the weather improves. During the rainy season, it’s a good idea to bring a raincoat or poncho. Please note cancellations due to weather are not eligible for a refund.
- The exact departure time from the meeting point will be sent to you via private message on the booking platform one day before the tour. Please check your email (including your junk/spam folder) carefully the day before your tour to avoid any delays or missed departures.
- For tours starting at 7:30 hrs, departure from the meeting point will be between 7:30 and 8:00 hrs, depending on the number of participants.
- For tours starting at 10:00 hrs, departure from the meeting point will be between 9:30 and 10:00 hrs, depending on the number of participants.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

Coco is great at taking pictures and making sure you have memories from the tour!
Just be warned it's hot! Bring lots of water (in July) but nothing about the tour, just the way it is. I think they tried to give us cooled places (and the bus was nicely ACd) just be prepared. Bring a water bottle.

I thought it was very well organized there wasn't any hanging about and our guide Meaw was knowledgeable, funny and approachable taking us on a journey through all the temples we visited.
The optional stop for lunch was good the restaurant having river views and the food being excellent.

My husband and I had great driver and tour guide (Coco) which made our day trip very memorable especially since Coco was kind and a great photographer. Coco was wonderful to tell us interesting and significant facts about the summer palace and temples that we visited. Very fun, informative but tiring at end since it was along day. Definitely recommend!

Had a really good day at Ayutthaya. Visited lots of temples and the lunch was good too, thanks to Coco for choosing the restaurant.
Coco was friendly and funny, shared some history about the places we visited before giving us time to explore on our own. She also offered to take lots of photos for everyone, but we were pretty tired so we didn’t really need that many 😅.
The drive was about 1 to 1.5 hours each way. We were a bit tired by the end so we skipped the last temple, but overall it was a great trip.
Also thanks to Peter, the driver. Very smooth driving, we fell asleep on the way back and didn’t wake up until we were back in Bangkok 😂. Would definitely recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We really enjoyed this tour in the ancient capital of Thailand. We booked the earlier tour and even if we were the only tourists who booked it, the tour still went ahead. We were really grateful for it. The guide was very knowledgeable and brought to life the different temples plus let us choose the pace of visit. The mix of ancient temples is fascinating and they are all worth visiting! Overall this was our best day around the Bangkok area

Visited lots of palace and temples (a bit too many in this hot weather and each charges an entry fee so no need to go into every one). The guide’s English was hard to understand and maybe I only got half of information. Be sure to wear or bring long pants for the palace. The lunch restaurant was very good. The guide did try hard to make everyone happy and engaged.

Nice tour of several historical sites. I would have enjoyed a bit more introductory background of Thailand dynasties to set the context for the temples we saw (but of course I could have done more research myself too!).

Full-day tour of Thailand's history, visiting the ruins of Ayutthaya.
The history itself is fascinating, but our guide made this tour a fantastic experience. Pat, our tour guide, is kind and loves teaching about Thailand's history. He helped answer all our different questions and was patient when we took additional time to take photos. He actually recommended the best spots for photo shoots during the tour and even participated in some of our photos by taking them when required (we also took photos with him).

This trip is well organized. Start off @wandertravel office 8am or be picked up @hotel designated. 10 guests, a van, a good driver and an energetic guide (Alex) leading all the way. About 1.5hrs drive one way. Back to Bangkok city center around 4pm. One royal summer palace and 4 temples visited. Prepare cash to pay tickets (360thb pp). Tip as you like. The temples in picture are more colorful than the actual park. Alex enjoys welcoming foreign guests to Thailand!

I was in Bangkok for a work trip and I knew I wanted to visit at least one thing outside of the city and this was the perfect decision. The tour led by Alex was small, very well organized and took us to visit the Summer Palace, two running temples (where he explained how to be respectful and different customs related to Buddhism), and then through two parts of the extensive ruins in Ayutthaya. We stopped at a good place for lunch (you have to cover this cost), but Alex was super kind to pick up a common dessert for us to share after and was just really an energetic and en ever ending source of information. If you are tight on time but would like to learn a little bit more of Thailand's expansive history and get out of the city, I really recommend it!

It wasn’t clear to us but we went to the summer garden ahead of the ruins which was of no interest to us so felt like waisted time.
The guide did his best to speak English but he was so difficult to understand, he was lovely but we didn’t learn very much.
He was quite adamant on going round a site in a specific order so he could give his sorrch at each spot before he’d let us ask questions

I am surprised it was not clear to you that the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace would be visited, as this is clearly stated on the tour page where you made your booking. We understand it may not have matched your personal interests, but many guests do enjoy this historical site and its architecture.
Regarding guide Pat, we appreciate your kind words about him. As a foreigner myself, I have never had difficulty understanding his English, though I do acknowledge that his Thai accent may be harder for some guests to follow. Our apologies if this limited the information you were able to take in. We will also remind him to allow more flexibility during explanations so guests can ask questions more freely.
Despite your disappointing experience, we hope the rest of your time in Thailand was enjoyable.

We had an incredible experience with Wan as our tour guide. She told us details about the temples (which were breathtakingly beautiful) that many other people I spoke to were not aware of. I don't want to spoil anything here but be sure to ask her lots of questions - she has a wealth of knowledge and is fun to learn from.
The locations she took us to were all amazing as well. My boyfriend was excited that the last temple we visited was the place where they shot the opening scene to the original mortal kombat movie.
Highly recommend this tour!

We had a small group size - just my husband and me and a family of four. This was so nice and our guide, Wan, was very knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly. It was a very hot day and she made sure we were all hydrated and shaded as much as possible. The tour was the perfect pace - especially considering the two children in the group. Instead of stopping at a restaurant for lunch, we all opted for snacks at 7eleven and delicious fried chicken at roadside stand next door which was a great move.
