The guiding in Kom Ombo was superficial. The guiding at Edfu was good I think. The driver was careful.

The driver was pretty lousy and even though the description says the tour starts at a particular time, they'll ask you to be ready 2 hours beforehand because they pick up a whole group of tourists before proceeding to Luxor. More time is wasted on that than is given to the tourists to actually see the temples. The guides were worth hiring. Our first guide at Kom Ombo temple was terrific and highly informative! Our second one - not so much.

After negotiations, I compromised and agreed to a closer pickup location outside the island. You shouldn't include a location that you can't pick up at on the list. Moreover, despite repeated requests, they did not provide me with the contact details to meet my guide. At the first destination, the driver told me to buy a ticket and enter the area before meeting the guide. (Just like the driver), they may have thought that they would recognize me because they had my photo, but there were so many people in the large area and I couldn't even recognize my guide, so I tried for a while but still couldn't find him. I didn't want to waste any more time of my sightseeing, so I gave up looking for my guide and was forced to tour without a guide. Perhaps because I complained about this incident, I was finally given the WhatsApp number of the guide at the next destination, and was able to receive his service without any problems.

I booked with English tour guide. The guide hopped on near the temples, had very strong accents, hard to understand. Both guides spent about 10 minutes and took off. At the end of the tour, the driver just dropped the whole group in Luxor near no one’s hotel. I had to drag my luggage and walked 15 minutes to my hotel. Same situation worn the rest. I will not recommend this tour

Aswan to Luxor definately driving is the way to see the countryside.

Great way to see the Egyptian small towns. We stopped to see edfu and Kom Ombo temples and had very few tourists it was excellent. Driver spoke little english being the only downside. Roads were ok, not as bad a we were expecting. Definately the way to go if you don't want to a cruise or take the train. It took 6hrs including the stops. You can now go direct in 2.5 hrs on the new road.

Strictly avoid them. Poor quality Guides. Driver kept pressuring to finish early.

Strictly avoid them. Guides at both the temples only spent around 20 mins with us, just giving high level idea which are anyways written on the signages there. Unlike other guides in the temple who were explaining various murals with great details, our guides didn't do any such thing. The driver (Michael) kept pressuring us to finish early. While the trip says 8-10 hours duration in viator, the driver didn't honour that. The guides asked us to finish our individual temple tours in 10-20 minutes, which is funny - as these two temples take hours to see. The driver sent the guide (at the Kom Ombo temple) to get us back from the temple as fast as possible. Both the driver and that guide was extremely rude.

If you are planning to transfer from Aswan to Luxor or vice versa, this is a great option to travel. You can utilize the travel time by visiting these two great spots. The driver is was really friendly and reached the places on time. The guide at Kom Ombo, Mahmoud was really knowledge and friendly. He gave so much information. Also gave me enough time to take pictures. The guide at Edfu temple, Sameer was also really great and knowledgeable. Even if we were about 30 mins late to reach the spot, he accommodated ample amount of time in guiding through the spots and explaining about the history in detail and in scorching heat. He also gave to enough time to take pictures. Strongly recommend this trip.

Temples are worth the view to be honest. But i would not recommand that company for the trip. 1)for the price: take indrive (like uber), it will be cheaper 2)for the communication : couldn't reach them through text or by calling them before and during the activity 3)for the service : the owner yelled at me on the phone when he finaly reached back by the end of the trip 4)for the driver : couldnt speak english + asked me to give him money for the last hour of the trip (through Google translate) so he could open his own business... save yourself some peave of mind. Wish we could give 6 stars. Khaled did a superb job showing us karnak and luxor Temple and explained everything in great detail. Questions were incouraged and meet with a clear and thorough answer. Excellent driving from the chauffeur aswell. All in all an unforgetable experience.

We found this a great way to travel between Aswan and Luxor. Our driver picked us up from Nubian Village and then we met local guides as each of the 2 temples. Esam at Kom Ombo even gave us some useful information sheets to take away. We were then dropped off at our Luxor hotel.

We applied for local guides in Edfu and Komuombo as they were optional, and both were very nice and satisfying. (3 guides on 9-person tour, 6 unguided) We recommend that you do not have to go on a Nile cruise, but choose this tour that combines sightseeing to get a great deal.
