Overview
Visitors will gain an authentic experience of Tanzania through this 2-hour pottery class in Tengeru, near Arusha. A group of local potters will teach visitors how to prepare, turn, trim, and fire their own creations, using local tools and locally mined clay. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit The Small Things, who are working to support families and vulnerable children in the community.
- You will be able to take home your pottery creation as a unique memento from your trip.
- A local guide will teach you about the history and culture of the local Meru tribe.
- Lunch and bottled water provided.

From Kilala on the main road, between Usa River and Tengeru, turn up the hill to the end of the pavement, then turn right at Nkoaranga hospital. Park at "TST Pickup Point," 50m down the dirt road. 4x4 drivers, please continue directly to the Happy Family Children's Village, about 2km (see Gmaps)
