This was a wonderful tour. We learned a lot about Tanzania thanks to our driver / guide Israel. Israel is very professional and knowledgeable. At the Natrual and Historical museum, he led us through the human evolution history and provided very detailed information. At every stop, he always gave us as much information as he could. We had a wonderful experience which has exceeded our expectations. Thank you again, Israel, for your hard work and best efforts.

Great experience- be prepared to walk as you get an in-depth look at Arusha both touristy and local. Our guide, Israel was excellent and we had an almost 6 hour tour! Nothing was rushed an opportunity to ask questions and leaving with a better understanding of Arusha.

An interesting tour of the local markets, with a pleasant, well spoken young man. He spoke English well, provided good information about the area, took us to market vendors he knew and helped us negotiate. He was studying to become a licensed guide/driver, just waiting for his guide driver's license, a two year process. We felt comfortable with him taking us through a part of Arusha we would not have wanted to navigate by ourselves. I highly recommend him. And a good way to overcome jet lag after getting to our hotel at 2 am, with the tour starting at 1 PM the same day. We got into local time easily, though tiredly, with this excursion.

This is a very comprehensive tour of the cultural highlights of Arusha. The BOMA museum included a review of the importance of Tanzania in the groundbreaking discoveries of the fossils of human evolution, the history of Tanzania’s long road to independence and the unique features of Tanzania’s geography and wildlife. It was an excellent $6 add on to the tour. The museum doesn’t look like much but it was excellent. Other tour highlights were narrated tours of the Maasai market and the enormous Central Market. Unbelievable. The merchants treated us like celebrities. And unanticipated stops included explaining the importance of the Clock Tower, a 360 degree panoramic rooftop view of the city, and a 10 minute film about where and how they mine and process Tanzanite. Our guide, Daudi,, was so knowledgeable and shared many anecdotes about modern day life in Tanzania, and he was so concerned with our comfort we felt totally secure. He was excellent. The pick up and drop off were perfect. We walked a lot, but only as much as we wanted. This is a great tour. No one should leave Arusha without seeing what the city life is truly like.

A fun day with our guide, Israel, as he showed us some sights in Arusha. He and his driver picked us up at our hotel and he showed us many of the local sights. Enjoyed the historical museum and the farmers market especially. We were able to spend time where we liked and shorten other stops. We recommend him highly.

Israel was amazing. I am a solo female traveller and felt very safe the entire time. Definitely recommend this activity if you find yourself with a free afternoon in Arusha, it was very eye-opening to experience the local markets and learn about the history of Arusha. Israel met me at my hotel and we got a Tuktuk to the first sight on the tour. Israel’s English is amazing and he has a wonderful command of Tanzanian history (more than anyone I met on my trip). I was a female solo traveler so I’m always cautious but Israel was eager to show off his amazing city. We visited several museums, art gallery and markets. He even helped me to purchase Tanzania fútbol jerseys for my children. I highly recommend this tour as you will gain knowledge you would not otherwise learn about!

The tour was really interesting an great, it's really a must while in Arusha. I thought I was going to do more walking as its a walking tour but it was a mix of car and walking, they drive you to almost each location and only got to walk from one location to the next one but it was really close. And I feel it was just perfect. My guide knew soo much, he explained everything in detail and answered all my questions he did a wonderful job.
