Wow! This experience surpassed all expectations. I will NEVER forget these 4 days, thanks to our group-mates, our chef Tito, and our OUTSTANDING guide Rocky! I would really recommend Suricata Safaris as compared to others. For example, we would stop for lunches, and many people had lunch boxes, but not us!! Each lunch was a full course meal. Same with the breakfasts and dinners! Shout out to our chef, Tito! The food really surpassed all expectations. I feel that we also got very lucky with our guide, Rocky, too. He was SUPER knowledgeable about everything. I myself a high school biology teacher really appreciated being able to ask him any question about animal behavior, ecosystems, and even the flora of the park. He always had a positive attitude and a great sense of humor and really made the whole experience a true joy. Some campsites were better than others, but Suricata provided heavy duty tents, warm sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and pillows. ALL park entrances are included in the price, which made everything seamless and easy. The vehicle was comfy and even had a cooler if you wanted a couple of beverages for the road. Again, I really cannot recommend Suricata enough. They are not the biggest company, but I can tell they are very thoughtful and purposeful about what they do. They sent someone to our hotel to give us a personal briefing before the safari and then were adamant about feedback after the safari was done. Scroll no further, just book these guys!

Amazing safari camp experience

Akane_F, Jan 2026
I had a an amazing time during the safari tour. It had been my lifelong dream to come to Serengeti and Ngorongoro to see all the big five and the big cats in their natural habitat and this tour did not disappoint. In fact, I was able to see all big five as well as all the big cats such as many lions including a cub and some very up close (right next to the safari car), a leopard, and a cheetah. My safari guide/driver Melita was a very experienced and easy going person, and he made sure we got to see what we wanted to see. Even when some unexpected things happened during the safari, such as getting stuck in the mud or the engine not starting (both or which are pretty common in this area especially due to road conditions and weather here), he knew exactly what to do or how to fix them and we got out very quickly. All the campsites were very nice and some even had hot shower, which was very pleasant. The campsite chefs, Godwin and Pius, were amazing chefs and the food they cooked were extremely delicious and nutritious. Pius even prepared some food separately for Vegans in our group, which was very nice of him. Overall, everything was good and I cannot wait to come back to see the beautiful animals in this area again.

Fantastic experience - can’t believe how much we saw and how close we got

We did the 4 day 3 night experience and each park was very different. Our guide Malita was excellent at finding animals and racing around on the lookout for them was great fun. On the last day we had Isaac and were in an open-sided jeep and it was a much more relaxed day but still got to see plenty and learned a lot. The camps at night were good, with clean facilities and comfortable beds in large tents. Salim was our chef and he is obviously passionate about it, creating brilliant food and lots of it. Camping made it feel like a proper adventure, especially at the Ngorongoro crater camp (Simba) where there was zebra, giraffe and waterbuck in the camp with us!

Incredible and Unforgettable!

Do it ! Amazing safari

Tamas_K, Jan 2025
I booked 4 days camping safari with Suricata. Before we start our safari a nice guy visited me in my hotel and he told me everything about this tour what l need to take with me like towels ,suncream etc..and what is he's recommendations and also he mentioned average tip $ 15-20 per person per day. One for driver and one for the chef. Not necessarily, only recommended tip. But I give to them because they was so nice with us. First two days camping site was pretty basic but I'm really enjoyed because I slept so close to the nature. Safari itself was amazing experience we do so many game drive and we saw even more animals than I expected thanks for our driver"Rasta man" Lewis was absolutely fantastic guy he have very good knowledge about animals and trees and Masai people life as well. Also we was lucky enough to see the famous wildebeest migration. And we got so much delicious food. Our chef guy cooked for us three times a day. This safari definitely one of the lifetime experience. If you're looking for great safari and reasonable price this is it,go ahead book it!

We had a great experience on our 4-day camping safari. We visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire National Park and saw many animals. The camp facitities were basic but sufficient and they had great views. Be aware that it can get cold at night. Gordon was a great guide and safe driver. He knew where to find the animals and answered all our questions about them. Also, he did all the paperwork at the park entrances, we didn't have to worry about anything. Tito was our chef and he provided us with delicious meals. Our favourite were his soups for dinner! He asked for allergies at the beginning and always pointed out to me what was safe for me to eat as I can't have any milk products. They were always concerend with our well-being. It was impressive how they organized the luggage as well as pick ups and transfers. In addition, someone came to pick us up at our hotel and also dropped us off after the safari. Even the transfer from Arusha to Moshi, our next travel destination, was included in the trip. It's great value for money and one should consider how much organizing is necessary for a safari and how many people are involved. Thanks for a great experience!

Great value, skilled guide, a memorable adventure

Max_R, Jun 2024
Great Safari tour of three national parks in Tanzania - the variation sets this tour apart from others in Africa. We managed to see the “Big 5” and our guide Amir was very skilled at finding and manoeuvring us to see them. The camping is definitely rough and ready (would recommend bringing your own sleeping bag) but adds to the sense of adventure and makes the trip fantastic value given the tours during the day are the same regardless of the price you pay for accommodation. Overall a memorable trip we’ll never forget.

Tanzania Safari

Amazing experience. Went to the main areas with a good and knowledgeable driver and saw the Big 5. Campsites were good and meals were amazing. Shout out to Mandela our driver and Tito the chef.

Highly recommended!

Sonja_K, Mar 2026
My sister and I did the 4-day group camping safari in March 2026 and can heartily recommend it. From start to finish everything was very well organized and the whole experience was just unforgettable. We were picked up on the first day of the safari and brought back after the tour, which made the whole trip very easy and stress-free. Our guide Filex was absolutely fantastic. He was very dedicated and always did his best to show us as many animals as possible. You could really tell how much experience he has — he always seemed to know exactly where to find the animals. Thanks to him, we could even see a leopard, which is usually very difficult to spot, as well as several rhinos, which are also rather rare to see. In just four days we were lucky enough to see all the Big Five and many, many more animals. During the safari you do a lot of game drives, which really gives you a lot of opportunities to see wildlife. We were amazed at how many animals we could observe during these four days. The food was also very good. Fresh meals were prepared three times a day and the team did a really great job. If you have food allergies or eat vegetarian food, it’s no problem at all — it’s taken into account and appropriate meals are prepared. For camping itself, we would recommend bringing a quick-drying towel, soap and toilet paper, as these things are not available on the campsite. It is also a good idea to take enough cash for tips. Overall, it was a unique experience for us. We felt safe, well looked after and very welcome throughout the trip. We would highly recommend this safari to anyone who thinks about it.
