Outstanding experience

It’s a very well planned Safari that covers the top 4 national parks in Tanzania. Our guide was extremely well organized and went above and beyond to show us animals and birds and share information about it. The chef that cooked our meals was outstanding and catered to our meal preferences very well. The camps were clean and provided a great experience right with national parks. I highly recommend this tour for an outstanding experience for wildlife safari lovers.

Spotted all the big 5 and had many amazing animal encounters on the 5 day tour to Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire NP. Note that for group tours, people doing different number of tour days are combined together so you may start and finish in a different group with a different driver/ chef. Pre/ post tour: I spoke with Hilary on Viator, and John came to my hotel the day before the tour for a briefing on itinerary and packing list. I was picked up from my hotel before the tour and dropped off at Kilimanjaro Airport after (extra cost). Driver: Gordon was very knowledgeable about the parks and animals! There was short commentary along the way and he was great at answering any questions. He also had fantastic eyesight to spot rhinos. Chef: Pius cooked us delicious and fresh meals every day! Breakfast was western style with toast, pancakes and fruit. Lunch was rice/ pasta with meat and veggies. Dinner was very generous with rice/ pastas, veggies, meat and side dishes such as fried potatoes, bananas and local style pizza. Tea and instant coffee available at each meal. 1L bottle water provided for each day. Camping: Very basic campsites and you also need to bring your own toilet paper! However you don’t need to set up or pack up the tent. There were also some great sunrise/ sunset views at Serengeti and Simba campsites. It can get very cold at Simba site.

Safari meraviglioso con la compagnia Suricati. La nostra guida Max e il nostro cuoco Salim meravigliosi. Cibo abbondante e ottimo, tende molto comode. Ovviamente è un campeggio in Africa quindi non un resort ma l’esperienza è indimenticabile. Grazie di tutto. Compagnia super consigliata.

5 Tage Camping Safari mit Suricata Safaris

Wir haben die 5 Tage Camping Safari gebucht. Die Organisation war super. Es hat alles wunderbar funktioniert vom Abholen am Hotel bis zum Zurückbringen. Amiri, unser Guide war hervorragend! Ohne seine Expertise hätten wir viele Tiere gar nicht gesehen. Er hat sehr gute Augen und ein super Gespür für die Tiere. Er hat es außerdem immer wieder geschafft das Auto so in Position zu bringen, dass wir das perfekte Foto machen konnten. Außerdem hat er uns viel über Tansania und die Parks erzählt. Wirklich ein toller Mensch! Hervorzuheben ist außerdem die Kochcrew rund um Tito! Das Essen hat immer sehr gut geschmeckt und war vorallem frisch. Die Köchen stehen zwischen 4-5 Uhr morgens auf und bereiten das Frühstück vor und kochen bereits das Mittagsessen welches dann in warmhalte Boxen mit auf die Safari genommen wird und in Park an Picknick Plätzen gegessen wird. Viele anderen Touren werden mit „Lunchpaketen“ abgespeißt. Bei uns wurde mit richtigem Besteck auf Tellern das morgens gekochte Essen serviert. Es gab Reis, Fleisch (Rind/Hähnchen/Fisch), Gemüse, Kartoffel,.. auf lokale Art und Weise zubereitet. Chuke hat uns dann am letzten Tag zum Hotel zurückgebracht. Er ist ein sehr lebensfroher und freundlicher Typ und hat für gute Unterhaltung mit afrikanischer Musik im Auto gesorgt und uns Arusha ein bisschen gezeigt. Das erste Camp „Twinga“ hat uns nicht so sehr gefallen. Es war relativ laut da es nicht im Nationalpark ist sondern beinahe an der Hauptstraße. Die anderen beiden Camps in der Serengeti und am Ngorongoro Krater sind einfach aber praktisch. Es gibt Toiletten und Duschhäuser. Achtung: kein warmes Wasser und kein Strom in der Serengeti - was völlig in Ordnung ist wenn man bedenkt wie weit man weg von irgendwelchen Städten ist. Wer mit einfachen Zelten nicht zurecht kommt, sollte die etwas luxuriösere Variante der Unterkünfte wählen. Wir würden JEDER ZEIT wieder mit Suricata buchen! Absolute Empfehlung!
