What To Expect
Your half-day scuba course will begin with convenient pickup at your hotel or the cruise port. Transfer to the dive shop to meet your PADI-certified instructor, who will guide you through the 3 to 4-hour course.
Start with a course on diving theory, including the mechanics of breathing and an orientation to the gear you'll use. The dive course includes one open-water dive, accompanied by your instructor, where you'll explore the underwater world and get a feel for the sport.
Get dropped off back at your hotel after the 3 to 4-hour course.

- Children must be 10 years of age or older to participate in this activity.
- Participants with a current cold, sinus congestion, bronchitis, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, a severe medical condition, or who are or may be pregnant are not permitted to dive.
- Additionally, individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited from participating.
- If you are currently taking any medications, you must consult your doctor prior to participating and present a written medical clearance explicitly stating you are physically fit to scuba dive.
- Participants with an ear infection, history of ear disease, hearing loss, respiratory issues, ear or sinus surgery, a collapsed lung, or a history of chest surgery must provide written medical approval from a physician prior to participating in the program.
- Participants with a history of behavioral health, mental, or psychological conditions, or any nervous system disorders, must provide a written medical clearance from a physician to participate in the program.
- Participants with a colostomy, heart disease, history of heart attack or angina, high blood pressure (including those taking blood pressure medications), a history of heart or blood vessel surgery, or a history of bleeding or other blood disorders must provide a written medical clearance from a physician prior to participating in the program.
- Participants with a history of panic attacks, agoraphobia, claustrophobia, or a fear of open or enclosed spaces must provide a written medical clearance from a physician prior to participating in the program.
- Participants with a history of seizures, blackouts, fainting, convulsions, or epilepsy, as well as anyone currently taking medications to prevent these conditions, must provide a written medical clearance from a physician prior to participating in the program.
- Participants with a history of back, arm, or leg problems following an injury, fracture, or surgery must provide a written medical clearance from a physician prior to participating in the program.
- Participants who have undergone any surgery within the last 2 years are required to provide a written medical clearance from a physician confirming they are fit to scuba dive prior to participating in the program.
- Failure to present a physical, written medical clearance upon check in for any of the aforementioned conditions, or any unlisted medical conditions that affect safety, will result in immediate disqualification from the program, and no refund will be issued.

They canceled our booking literally two hours before they were supposed to pick us up. It was too late in the day to schedule with another company so we did not get to scuba dive in Aruba.

Writing this while still riding the adrenaline high! My first ever time diving and I loved every minute. The whole team were amazing but Sylvia (sp?) was the best practical instructor. So patient and reassuring. I’m terrified of deep water but felt safe with her. And honestly I never thought I would ever be 12m underwater. That’s a core memory. Saw a shipwreck and loads of coral and many colourful tropical fishes and a few shy crustaceans. Honestly book this experience now I can’t recommend it enough.

We had a wonderful time learning how do scuba dive. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The pool training built your confidence and our teacher was extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see if scuba is for you.

Definitely recommend doing the scuba diving here. My husband and I had a great experience. Instructors and very knowledgeable and answer any questions you have. Saw reefs, different fish and shipwreck.

This was my number one excursion of all time. I have been cruising for almost thirty years. The instructors gave the right amount of classroom and swimming pool instruction before the open water dive. They preached “safety “ at all times. It’s a whole different world under the water surface. I Loved It. By the way, I’m not a swimmer.

Our experience with SE Aruba Fly and Dive was wonderful, They took time to make sure we were comfortable and understood all the rules and safety elements before hitting the pool. We practiced what we went over before heading to the ocean. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in learning scuba.

This was the most incredible experience I could have hoped for and I would highly recommend it for anyone interested in trying out Scuba diving! I was a bit nervous when I started, but the instructors were incredibly patient and helped me every step of the way! After we finished the dive, I immediately wanted to do it again!

If you are interested in finding out if the world of scuba diving is for you, this is the excursion for you. A well crafted educational session and a quick pool training sets you up for what to expect. They are knowledgeable and caring and take the time to explain everything with a hint of a sense of humor. I was hit with a bit of anxiety once the dive start. They worked with me to calm me down while maintaining safety first at all times. It was a truly rewarding experience for the rest of the dive. Highlighted by see a seahorse in the wild. Would strongly recommend for the beginners looking to dip their toe a little deeper in the ocean or someone looking to take the next set to get certified.

Had a great introductory course. Got the basics of scuba as well as a practice run in a pool. Then got to go for a 30 minute dive in free water to a depth of about 35-40 feet, which was exhilarating and beautiful. Would recommend to anyone who is new to scuba, even if apprehensive.

Very good for first time beginners. The driver needs ac and phone charger to work but she’s not affiliated with them. They should choose another. The instructors are very nice. I cut my leg on coral there’s no first aid kit on the boat. Told me salt water is very healing which is true but I still needed to clean the wound and the blood off my leg. Other than that good instructions. Safe dive. That matters!

Paula is a highly experienced dive master, guide, and instructor. I took four teens for the half-day Discover Scuba program and we all had a great time. After classroom and pool instruction, we completed a shore dive at Mangel Halto, where the kids were surprised to find a sunken tug boat! This is a perfect excursion for teens and is sure to be a highlight of their time in Aruba!

Had a bad experience with S. E. Aruba diving. my boyfriend and I arrived at the dock at the scheduled time of 12:45. we were told to wait for the boat and we ended up waiting for almost 2 hours with no news of what is going on. eventually we kept pressing and they told us the boat had broken down and that the whole excursion is canceled. this was our main excursion that was planned for our short trip and if they had told us sooner it would be canceled or that they had issues we could have booked another excursion but it was too late in the afternoon by then. would not recommend!!

We are truly sorry that you feel that way. As mentioned on our direct message to you, the boat had not broken down like you mention, it was a minor issue, however it took more time than expected to get back to our pier. As soon as we knew that it would have taken longer, we decided to cancel, to avoid that some of you that were already impatient after half an hour, would have to wait any longer, therefore it did not take two hours to announce as you mention. However we understand that your frustration and lack of understanding for the situation can overly exaggerate the situation to make our operation look bad.
We are very happy and grateful that those from the morning excursion that were on board and some from the afternoon program were very understanding and caring.

This was my wife’s first experience, and she was extremely nervous. I am an experienced diver and I remained hopeful we could make this a hobby together. The team made sure to keep her comfortable without being pushy. They gave me my independence. They literally, held her hand the whole time. She finished, feeling proud, and I left, feeling hopeful that we could do this again sometime.

The captain and our diving instructor Veddie were both excellent. Veddie brought in a pool to practice techniques first. He was very helpful and cheered us on . He made sure we were comfortable at all times when we went into the actual dive in the ocean. Very attentive and a serious excellent instructor. My dad and I learned so much on this dive and felt fairly comfortable as this was only our second time scuba diving. I would highly recommend aruba discover scuba diving. Everything looks so much better and more vivid colors below the usual snorkeling depths ❤️

This was an incredible first scuba diving experience for my boyfriend and I. We were the only two on the afternoon dive, and the instructors made us feel very comfortable while preparing and during the dive. We had an excellent time and would definitely recommend this if you want to scuba in Aruba! 🤿🏝️
