What a fantastic day! Elizabeth was an AMAZING tour guide who shared so much local information and history. There was the right amount of time at each stop. The lunch provided was outstanding and they accommodated food allergies. A truly unforgettable day.

We had a fabulous full day tour of the island of Terceira! Ended up being the only couple on the tour so a few stops were tweaked to our desires! Great history of the battles of the island. Plenty of free time to explore on our own. Lunch was beyond amazing! Stunning scenery although the weather didn’t always cooperate. Our tour guide was great! Very informative and knowledgable about the island!

Wonderful full-day tour of the island. Our guide Elizabeth was fantastic. We got to see all of the sights including a walk by the beach, volcanic vents, and tidal pools. The included lunch was absolutely delicious. All for a great price. Highly recommend.

Great day trip around the sights of Terceira. Miguel was very knowledgeable and informative, he knew the island inside out as he grew up there and had lived there all of his life. We went to places we didn’t even know about, hidden gems. We particularly liked the natural swimming pools and the wonderful typically local lunch. Would recommend Miguel to anyone.

Our guide Isabelle was simply superb. We were picked up on time, and she was very engaging and dynamic along the tour. We had a great time visiting the various hot spots along the tour.

Rafaela (tour guide) was great at her job. She gave us detailed information about the sights we were seeing and also about the island as a whole. She also didn't rush us during the stops and gave us ample time to look around.

I had a highly disappointing experience with this tour company. My booking was rescheduled due to a lack of registrants, which was inconvenient and messed up my plans. When the tour finally happened, I discovered that the cheese tasting, which was included when I booked, was not part of the program. This was a significant letdown as it was one of the main reasons I chose this tour. Additionally, the company charged for airport pickup, despite advertising it as free for group members. This level of miscommunication and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I do not recommend this tour company to anyone.

BE AWARE SCAM:
Be careful of this scam. We booked it weeks in advance, with the option of pick-up at the airport which, through the website, does not mention any extra cost (the airport is 7 minutes from the pick-up point and a taxi costs between 6-8 euros). The pick-up was scheduled for 9:00 according to the reservation, and they arrived after 9:30, so we waited 45 minutes thinking it was included in the tour. At the end of the tour, they told us it wasn’t, and made us pay 20 euros which we didn’t have because we were never notified of that charge. They excused themselves saying I should have received a notification that never arrived, and I wasn’t charged when selecting the airport as the starting point. Not to mention that they charged me three times the cost of a normal taxi after the service. Since we didn’t have cash, we had to look for ATMs for 20 minutes. Terrible, making the rest of the group wait. They also promote a cheese tasting that you never get, excusing it by saying they no longer work with the cheese makers, but they still have it promoted on TripAdvisor. The guide was very professional, but these experiences where they charge for services not delivered and charge a ridiculously abusive amount for a 6-minute car ride without prior notice ruined our experience and that of the rest of the people on the tour. I do not recommend it and save yourself from this scam by looking for another company.

Due to that I am the only tourist in this tour team, I was asked to cancel my reservation at the beginnings, while I refused to do so. Fortunately they decided to fulfill it finally. The guide, Rafaela did well with explaining a lot on the whole way. I prefer to enjoy the good tour, not to care about the tortuous process.

The all-day tour of Terceira was fantastic. Our guide did a great job of sharing interesting information, moving us easily from one great spot to the next, and keeping the day fun and enjoyable. I'm extremely glad I chose to take this tour. Huge kudos to the guide--she was outstanding!

Tour company contacted me a couple of days before the tour stating they had canceled the tour because i was the only person booked and paid for that day, despite confirming months ago that they could do the tour for one person. So they then booked me on a different half day tour which costs $30 euros less but would not refund me the difference. I missed out on seeing half of the sites I had booked to see but was still able to see the caves & biscoitos. The guide was a young girl who gave a brief explanation of where she was taking us (me & 2 other guests) and took us into the entrance of the 2 caves but seemed tired and disinterested for most of the 3.5 hrs tour.

Wonderful bus driver and guide. Our guide provided good detail at every stop. Lunch was delicious and plentiful with good service. Driver handled my partners mobility scooter with ease. Great tour but poor planning. We got off to a late start waiting for guests from the cruise ship and then after an hour went back to the ship to pick them up and again they were no shows. All this resulted in returning to the ship late! The guide assured us the ship would wait, but it was wrong and poorly planned. The HAL staff were waiting for us and we were hurried onto the ship. We were lucky since this was not a HAL tour but unnecessary stress at the end of a day. First time we were ever returned late to the ship on a Viator tour. Just didn't make sense.

Great tour! Fantastic guide. She was the best. Very knowledgeable, gave great historical context to what we were seeing. Answered all questions clearly. And she always made sure we were all aboard at each stop. Very diligent!!
Our only criticism: The tour itinerary should have been adjusted to fit the ship schedule. She had to miss one of the stops to us back to the pier so we wouldn’t miss the ship departure. This wasn’t her fault.

A full day to see all the main sights of the island. We booked months ago and a large group from our cruise ship added in. I’m not sure if it’s always a large group but if definitely slowed the whole day down as it took the elderly guests longer to get on and off the bus… would probably work better for smaller groups. Lunch was soooo good!

Covered a lot of ground and I was able to get a general introduction to the island, and the people. Enjoyed the company of seven other guests, and Alex our guide/chauffer did a commendable job in taking us around safely. The lunch was outstanding.

This tour is an entire day. Be prepared. I really like that. The tour guides allow you and the group to decide the pace of the tour. We also learned a lot of interesting things about the island and the little villages that we visited. The tour company limits the amount of people that can be on this tour so having a small intimate group was a great experience for me. of course, the lunch is my favorite part.

We are fortunate to have Elizabeth as our guide! My son and I were the only guests in the group for the day. She took great care of us. She is very warm and knowledgeable about the island and its history. We enjoyed the trip a lot! Strongly recommend if you are visiting the island for first time.

Half a star of for the fact that the tour description still doesn't mention that algar do carvao is closed some days in winter, other half to the fact, that the car (in my opinion) is too small when fully booked. I was tucked in the front seat in full body contact with a complete stranger, lucky me he was a nice guy, but very tight for a whole day.
Besides that Elisabeth was a lovely guide, answering all questions with smiles and laughter, keeping good track of the time and all the sites are worth a visit and expectations were fulfilled. Good choice to see the island in one day.
