Amazing walking tour ! I highly recommend this tour, without a doubt, to anyone travelling to Amman. It is a great way to get to know the city, the country and the local culture. Our guide was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and even changed his plan to add stops depending on our interests (ex: visiting a Mosque). He took his time with us, stopping to sample foods on the way. He was more than generous with his time and knowledge.

I had a terrific time touring the souks in Amman and learning about the history and culture of Jordan. My tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and he helped me find some hidden treasures in the marketplace, as well as providing a wonderful memory of my time in Jordan.

Interesting tour through the market areas. They did not go to any sites. We had less options due to Ramadan, but still got to try a few things. Biggest issue was guide spoke very fast, and was often hard to understand

Our guide Orwa was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, sharing many interesting details about the city’s history. We started at the mosque and then spent the evening walking to many places around downtown markets, where I got to try some local food. It was a fantastic and memorable evening — highly recommended!

Our guide was absolutely amazing. It was like visiting a cousin. He took us through the city like we were truly family. I learned so much about Jordan past and present on the tour. I really wished he was our guide during our entire stay. On this tour I was with my brother but, I often travel alone and would have felt totally safe with our guide. He really felt like my Jordanian cousin. We told him if he ever comes to the United States we would be happy to be his guides

Very interesting tour with plenty of opportunity to try some bites and learn about Jordan and Amman. My guide was Orwah who was not only a lovely person in general but knew a lot about Amman and its history as well as about Jordan and the many traditions. This is the perfect start to get your bearings a bit before diving head first into exploring on your own.

If you want to get a taste of the Amman’s markets, culture and some local food, this is the tour for you. Our guide Orwa, was super friendly and gave us a wonderful walking tour of the old and new markets. We sample delicious falafel, bread and some local treats.

Orwah was a great guide around the various markets of Amman. He’s full of facts/figures and loves to share many stories of Jordan & his life here. We walked a lot, so be prepared with good shoes, but we were able to cover so much in just a couple hours because of his energy, knowledge & lots of local pointers. Highly recommend to see things you won’t with just a guidebook!!

Guide was super nice and knowledgeable about the area. I was a female solo traveler and was the only one on the tour. I felt safe. However, I did feel like a couple things could be changed about the tour. 1) go to the Roman theater, 2) ask the guests what they like to eat and not assume it’s everything 3) skip the live market 4) communicate slowly and spend more time focusing on culture and food

Our tour guide was Orwa and he was very knowledgeable! He taught us a lot about the history of the city and took us places where the locals frequent. He was very friendly and understanding and even bought us some snacks from the local vendors. We enjoyed our tour.

Good guide. Disappointing venue. The walks to the old markets and new markets were boring and not exciting. Did not enjoy this tour. Expensive and poor value. Not recommended

Orwah was really friendly and helpful. He took time to explain about the markets and the culture of Jordan. Very knowledgeable guide and who explained and showed us a wide selection of foods and goods in the markets in depth, great way to start our first ever visit to Amman. Even at the end of our tour he went out of his way to take us to a great local restaurant and ensure we could find our way back to our hotel. Would recommend this if you want to spend time with a local guide and see the real downtown Amman.

Ibrahim is a charismatic, funny guide. I rated this experience unfavourably because it was very market-focused and severely overpriced, with little emphasis on buildings, and it covered a very limited part of the city. We did not visit any buildings inside during the two-hour visit. If you have a limited interest in markets, you will feel the same, but if food and shopping are your thing, then you will likely enjoy it.

My guide was very nice all perfect considered that I booked with a very short notice. It is anyway a quick tour of Amman market and with a local you discover more than alone. I did not give 5 stars because price is too high.

This is a very nice walking tour of the night markets in Amman, i requested the guide pic us up at our hotel and he was very accomidating, i paid for the taxi to the market and on our way back he negotiated the cost of the taxi and we had no problems getting back to the hotel. I would not attempt to do this activity without a local guide, he gave us so much insight into the local flavour and culture. Cant go wrong with this tour.

We enjoyed a fast-paced tour of the very interesting downtown markets. Our guide did point out the main archeological sites (Citadel, Theater, Nymphaeum, etc), but we didn't have time to visit them. Perhaps a somewhat longer tour than included these cultural sites would have been better, for us at least. I do recommend this tour if you are staying at an apartment and want to buy some amazing food to cook!

My wife and I enjoyed the private walking tour of the old downtown very much. We learned lots about the history as well as the way of life amongst the communities of locals as well as residence from Palestine, Yemen, Syrian, Eqyptian, etc calling Amman home. It changed my perspective from what we often read in the media and Jordan is safe!

I think this is a great tour for your first few Days in Amman. Not only do you learn about the modern life of Jordanians in Amman, Orwah was great to tell you what you can do during your stay in Amman which is why its not only a great way to learn during the tour but also plan what you can do during your stay in Amman after the tour as well. Orwah was extremely hospitable and very informative as well as having a great sense of humour which will keep you laughing throughout the tour. Definitely recommend this tour!

My daughter and me had a great tour with our guide Orwah. He took us to different nice and interesting places, in and outside the markets, and had great stories and lots of information to share with us. Orwah also shared a lot of helpful tips and tricks for our stay in Amman, like local negotiation techniques. Orwah is a clear enthusiastic communicator, very knowledgeable and on top of that a very nice guy. I highly recommend the tour itself, but als a nice intro to Jordan/Amman while it can make you further stay more easy and fun. Thx Orwah

Highly, highly! overpriced tour through markets. No historical sightseeing or information as advertised. Although local manages to give you some insight into local customs through visiting the markets and local shops, it is not a good experience. We wanted the local insight into the city and not the markets. Plus be prepared that tour guide will you he has to live off your gratuity and tip. So paying usd 46 p.p he gets nothing from and you tip a lot on top.?!. Please don't treat tourists like milking cows only, that's rude and respectless in many ways . Better to go to the citadel or other places

as it's mentioned in the tour description, the guide shows you shortcuts to visit historical places like roman theater and Amman citadel, the tour is more focused on the cultural aspect of the city and give useful advises for exploring the country overall, usually we advise our guests to visit the historical places after the tour by their own to take the best of the tour, and for the rate you paid, it includes all food samples along the tour and the guide. Usually guests show their appreciation when they're happy with the tour and give some tip to the guide, that doesn't mean it's a must.
