From the start to the end, we tried a variety of Jordanian dishes. There was plenty of food, and you wont need to eat afterwards. Our tour guide, Jumana, was excellent throughout. She was very insightful on the dishes we were given, and even gave some brief history of the shops/stores where we had the food/drinks. Definitely a highlight of our stay in Jordan.

Jumana absolutely made my last day in Jordan so fun. She was funny, charming, and imparted a lot of knowledge on Jordanian culture and food. We were all so full after and had a great time. Highly recommend this tour!

Jumana was a fantastic guide and made the Amman food tour truly special. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the city and guided us expertly through the ins and outs of Amman in a way that felt both informative and personal. Not only did we stop at a wonderful variety of food spots, but we also walked through local markets, sampling fresh fruits, dates, peanuts, and olives along the way. We drank tea with locals and experienced mansaf in the most traditional way. What made the tour stand out most was how she shared stories from her own family and traditions, which added warmth and authenticity to the experience. My 11-year-old absolutely loved the zaatar bread, and Joanna included him in such a thoughtful and special way throughout the tour. Highly recommend!

Great Tour of Rainbow Street and Downtown Amman

My wife and I took this tour, with one other person, in mid December; the weather was cool with a little drizzle. We experienced Rainbow Street, as well as the crowded but vibrant Sugar Market and lower downtown. The food was great, and Jumana was a superb guide, patient with my fussy eating, and like every Jordanian we met, very proud of her wonderful country. The falafel especially was head and shoulders above anything we've ever tasted in the U.S.

My friend and I are in Jordan visiting my daughter, who’s a student here. We took this tour on our first night in Amman and had a fantastic time with Jumana as our guide—she is funny, fun, knowledgeable, and gave us a wonderful introduction to the city while treating us to all the must-have dishes anyone visiting Amman should try. Bring an empty stomach! There is so much food, especially if you're a small group or solo. There are small bites, main meal and desserts with a tea break and ice cream to end the evening. There's a bit of walking and lots of historic information. A must do when you're in Jordan.

Very poor value for money

We spent 30 minutes waiting outside 2 souvenir shops waiting for our guide to help another couple on the tour to buy a chess set and later, some gold. The tour lasted 4 hours. About 1.5 hours were spent talking or eating food. We missed out two the intended stops as things were taking so long. The guide was a lovely local lady who really knew her stuff and had excellent English, but she admitted that she did not work for Viator but a local company who were subcontracted byViator. . Had we booked through Amman Food Tours we would have saved a lot of money!

I am sorry you were not satisfied with your experience. I think if you had stayed until the end instead of leaving after a couple of stops. you would have received an indepth look at the food in the city. With that being said, in a small group, it is important to manage time and guests, and we have informed the guide that time management and focus on food needs to be at the forefront and anything else can happen after the end of the tour.

Being our first time in Jordan we wanted to immerse ourselves into the culture. We couldn’t have picked a better tour. Our guide Jumana made us feel like family. She took us through the local market sampling many different foods. She also shared with us information about the city and the way of life there. At the end we spent time just talking in a local restaurant like we were old friends. Next time we visit Amman we will definitely be joining our new friend.

A Must Do!!

We arrived in Amman in the early hours so we decided to take an afternoon food tour of the city- the best decision EVER! We didn’t have wifi outside our hotel but managed to find the area without any problems. However, we were not in the correct meeting point, and could not message our guide right away. Thankfully the Jordanians are beyond nice and our guide had waited to hear from us- we found her! Jumana was spectacular! She showed us so many areas of Amman and so many foods that were absolutely amazing!! She had such a great personality and was so kind! If you end up having the chance to meet her, you will not be disappointed!!! We took this tour 3 days ago and we’re still telling everyone we meet about it. Thank you for a wonderful introduction into this beautiful city!
