Upon arrival in the historic city, you’ll be dropped at Haret Jdoudna, a 19th-century home with gorgeously restored rooms and floors—on cold evenings, there’s often a blazing fire in the restaurant’s hearth.

Sit down to a hearty meal of mezze, the restaurant's selection of small plates. The menu changes with season and availability, but Haret Jdoudna makes a wonderful version of makdous, pickled eggplant with garlic and walnuts, as well as crisply fried halloumi cheese, and a wide variety of fresh salads.

There’s also a craft, mosaic, and souvenir shop on site, and after your meal, you’re free to browse before meeting the driver for the return trip to Amman, where this culinary excursion concludes.
