The experience was extremely exhilarating. The professionalism of the guides made you feel as safe as one can be doing an extreme activity such as this. We were warned of the very real possibility of going overboard and having to swim in 38 degree water to the safety of a boat. In fact you start out having to swim about 300 yards down the river to the safety of a boat before you begin. We had signed up for the two canyon experience that had class IV rapids with one class V rapid. They offered to extend anyone who was up to it and willing to pay the extra charge to continue on to the third canyon which contains multiple class V rapids. We went for it! It was both very exciting and very scary. With the experience of our guides and their training us, no boats capsized and nobody fell in. The only drawback in the experience was their aging equipment. First the “dry suits” of both my wife and I leaked immediately during our initial swim making us cold and wet from the upper waist, down to our toes right at the start of the experience. Then with each dosing of river water it just made it worse. My wife’s teeth were chattering by the end of the first canyon. Only our spirit for adventure and adrenaline kept us going. While in this condition we also had to wait an extended period of time due to a guide boat breaking down half way through the second canyon. Having said all that I would do it again, but bring a change of clothing and definitely wear heavy wool socks.

Elliot lead our family of five on an adventure of a lifetime! We had a blast navigating all three canyons! Such an incredible thrill! Highly recommend!

What an AWESOME trip. We were only able to complete 2 canyons because the river was running high but it was an exhilarating trip!!! Spencer was great and kept us safe. Two in the family were a bit anxious to start but ended up having a blast and want to go again. Highly recommend!!!!

So I have really mixed feelings on this trip. My experience was awesome but I definitely felt nickel and dime d and a few things left a sour taste in my mouth.
1. The dry suits do NOT keep you dry. It’s cold water and that’s ok but be prepared and bring extra clothes. I would have liked that warning instead of driving for 2 hours in wet clothes. A guide also interrupted me telling my friend I was wet to tellme I’m dryer than I think. Nope- took off my suit and was soaking wet. I did not like feeling like I was being gas lighted. The suits also stink so definitely bring extra clothes!
2. You go through canyons one and two and then decide if you want to go down the third. The third canyon is awesome! However, we were told you’ll settle the difference at the end and it should be $50-$60. Nope it’s way more— it would have been ok if they were just honest with the price.
3. Pictures- they take pictures and then charge $85 to get a jump drive with all the photos and I think $25 to have one picture emailed. With it being 2022- it’s so easy to share pictures it felt very cheap.
4. I got to paddle and be active in the experience which I enjoyed. However, up to 3 people per boat don’t get to paddle and are just a long for the ride. Positions never switch so they never got a chance. That doesn’t appeal to me at all.
That being said- I did have a blast! The experience is cool. I would do it again but maybe with a different company.

Booked to do this for myself, 17 y/o , friend, her husband and 13 y/o daughter. First of all.... it is definitely an exhausting experience. The 13 y/o didn't make it to the canyon she got too overwhelmed and a bit scared after the swim test. The swim test, yes there is one, no it's not a joke. You are throwing yourself into creek and swimming against current until you flip on your back and then swim to the boat or the side if the creek in 38 degree water. It was very very hard, and a bit scary. The guides do a great job of truly explaining the extent of what the experience can be to give everyone the option to bow out. But you truly can't imagine until you experience it. I am so glad I did the first 2 canyons but I never did the 3rd, by that point I was just DONE, so exhausted and really cold. Definitely layer up good. My drysuit was not dry... probably had some pinholes in the sock part because I had water get in from the beginning of just stepping into the creek but everyone else in my group stayed pretty dry. Every guide was really nice but think ours Neal was the best... because he got us through it and no one fell in... that means alot in my book lol Actually he was really informative, friendly and extremely helpful. Everyone should definitely experience something like this atleast once :)
