The best tour we've been on! They all are very kind and knowledgeable about all the flora and the history. We really enjoyed Alexis's sense of humour and passion for sharing the information. The tastings were so interesting and delicious. Roasted cacao is sooooo good! Loved loved loved this experience 😍. If you are trying to decide on a chocolate/coffee tour....pick this one.

We purposely looked for a smaller / family ran type of tour and this far exceeded expectations. The tour guide, Fabricio, was super knowledgeable. The tour went through all stages of the chocolate making process, the tastings were very interesting. We had an absolute great time. They also offered us access to the waterfall / swimming hole which was also great.

Fantastic. This was actually our second coffee/cacao tour in our 4 days in the area.. North Fields was great and this one was Phenomenal! Highly recommended! Interactive, educational, and fun. Our guide was super.

Alexis did a great job of explaining the process of coffee, cacao, and rum. We were able to taste and participate in making chocolate and coffee and even bring home some of the chocolate that we made. It’s a small farm that focuses on organic and quality over quantity. I highly recommend this tour.

Five of us had a great time on this tour. The young man who was the guide was so nice and explained everything and did a great job answering all of our questions. Sorry I don’t remember his name. We learned a lot and drank some great coffee and hot chocolate. We enjoyed the hike to the waterfall on the property. Very pretty.

Fabrizio was amazing and friendly. He showed us so many different things, was humorous, and informative. Bring bathing suits for the waterfall swimming hole on the property!

We enjoyed this tour very much. We had one-on-one attention and learned a lot about chocolate and coffee. We even got to make hot cocoa and chocolate candy and coffee from scratch! Very attentive and nice guides.

Second time on the Don Jorge tour! This time we brought our 3 older teenage sons with us and they truly enjoyed it! We had Fabrizio as our guide and I was truly impressed with how knowledgeable he was! Would do it a third time!!!

A wonderful experience at a local farm. The tour group was very small and we got to sample many different things along the way. The guide was great with the kids and it was very interactive.

Fun and educational! Definitely the highlight from our time in La Fortuna. Tasted my first cocoa bean straight from the pod. Made our own chocolate. Our guides were the best!

Fabricio was amazing. The tour was informative and fun. We were able to take our time and enjoy the plants, trees and wildlife. We asked lots of questions and got lots of laughs out of Fabricio. We made chocolate bars, hot cocoa, coffee, and had a sip of wine. We were given fresh pineapple from the farm that was so delicious. We walked down to the waterfall even though the path down to the bottom was washed out. The toucans and birds were everywhere while we made our chocolate. Then he recommended a restaurant for lunch and ended up joining us. It was so personal and really enjoyable.

We very much enjoyed touring the farm and learning about all of the crops and their processing. Fabricio was a FANTASTIC guide. The hike and the waterfall are amazingly beautiful. Absolutely worth the visit.

Exceeded our expectations! This is a special place run with love and respect by a local family. Our guides were excellent educators and taught us the cultural roots of chocolate and the work it takes to grow cacao and coffee chemical-free. We helped make our own cocktails, hot chocolate, and chocolate bars and were served delicious coffee. Bring your bathing suit and water shoes for an adventurous hike to a private waterfall. A beautiful and memorable experience! 100% recommended.

We loved our tour on a family farm. My kids really enjoyed making the chocolate for the bars and the hot cocoa. It was so good. Also we were unaware there is a little waterfall on the property that they will allow you to swim in if you'd like!

Yum! And wow. Loved this so much, especially at Don Jorge. We got to hang out with Don Jorge son who was so kind and helped with the tour. His neice was beautiful and also helped with making thw chocolate. Fabrizio was the main guide and is so great at his job. Spoke amazing English. Was great with the kids, remembered our names. It was all so fun and delicious. The things to try sugar cane water, fresh hot chocolate, a little Costa Rica moon shine added to the sugar cane if you want, fresh coffee and of course the homemade chocolate. Do this tour!

This is a family owned farm NOT your commercialized experience! It was amazing! Our guide was so attentive! We made sugar cane, chocolate and had fresh coffee! They have a waterfall on property that we were able to walk to. It was an unsuspecting awesome experience!

This was one of the best experiences we had in La Fortuna. We were lucky enough to have a private tour and our guide, Fabricio, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about not only coffee and chocolate, but the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. We had a lot of good laughs and the tastings of all the products grown on the farm were so amazing. We made our own chocolates and found some cool animals on our way to their waterfall. Would recommend to anyone visiting La Fortuna!

I very much enjoyed my tour at Don Jorge Chocolate and Coffee Tour! My guide, Fabricio Alexis, was very knowledgeable about ALL the flora on this family-owned farm. It was great to learn about all that goes into raising, harvesting, and producing the coffee and chocolate products we consume. We had hands-on demonstrations to make our own coffee, chocolate, and also sugarcane "juice"...and we spiked it with sugarcane moonshine!
