Overview

There are some places you can’t help but fall in love at first sight, and Cassis is part of them ! Drive from Aix to the Cape Canaille, the highest maritime cliff in Europe and enjoy the panoramic view on the bay. Spend some free time at leisure in the fishermen port and enjoy the local market on Wednesday and Friday. You will have the possibility to join a cruise to discover the Calanques (ticket not included), limestone cliffs diving in the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean sea.

This was a full day experience in 90+ degree weather but Greg did an amazing job of keeping us cool, entertained and informed all while sharing with us the most beautiful parts of Cassis, Luberon, and surrounding villages. I highly recommend Greg as your guide.

This tour was a great way to see so much of this picturesque region in one day. Having a small group made it very manageable as well. The pictures accompanying the tour description don't do justice to how beautiful all the towns are. Jesse, our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and we never felt rushed even though we had a lot of places to visit during the day.

The locations and sights...

The locations and sights were amazing. Unfortuntately the guide/driver was not. She arrived 20 minutes late to our meeting location. She was not very talkative or conversive. At our first stop, Cassis, she simply dropped us off and said only "i'll meet you back here in 2 hours." upon her return to pick us up she did not say a word to greet us or tell us where our next stop would be. She drove at a high rate of speed on narrow winding mountain roads. We were not comfortable with her driving. Overall, the destinations were amazing but we were very disappointed in our guide/driver.

Our guide Nicholas was very professional, friendly, and full of stories about the region and historical information. For the most part, he briefs you on each stop and you are free to explore on your own and meet back at the tour van. You will do a ton of hiking up inclines and uneven surfaces and it’s challenging in the brutal heat . it’s great that our van was clean and comfortable with fully working air conditioning and we had time to relax in the van between villages. I recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water.
