Overall it is a nice experience, however, if Valensole is the lavender field that is wanted, it must be made clearer that these fields are not able to be seen after a certain date as a result of harvesting (July 15). I did appreciate our tour guide Donato going the extra mile to find us fields in Sault that could be photographed. The stops to the villages in between were as well. This review is getting 4 stars only because of the tour guide.

Lavender harvesting depends entirely on individual producers, who adapt to weather conditions each year, so we're unfortunately never able to guarantee an exact date for when a specific field will be harvested. We adjust our tours accordingly and always ask our guides to find beautiful, still-visible fields so our guests leave satisfied. We're delighted Donato went the extra mile for you in Sault!

Due to the summer heatwave, the lavender fields we were suppose to visit (the ones in Gorge, Moustier-Sainte-Marie etc) had bloomed & harvested earlier than expected. So we were informed that we’ll be redirected to Sault. There was a link to show our “new itinerary” but accessing it showed the same original itinerary with Sault added to the end. As we were uninformed of the new itinerary routing, it was a shock & disappointment to us when we discovered enroute that we were brought through the Luberon Villages instead. This is because we already had a booking with another operator for a Luberon Villages tour.
We wished that we had known of the new itinerary in advance hence we could make the necessary changes to our own holiday schedule. Other than this issue, the tour was fine. The van was spacious, the places we were brought to were interesting too. Though Marie abandoned her headset early in the tour so for us who sat right at the back, it was difficult to hear what she was sharing.

We understand your disappointment regarding the itinerary changes. Due to the exceptional heatwave this summer, the lavender bloomed and was harvested much earlier than usual in several regions of Provence. Therefore, we had to modify the itinerary at the last minute so that our clients could still admire the lavender fields in bloom, with Sault becoming the main destination.
Indeed, we did not communicate the new itinerary before your excursion; we will do so next year ;-)

The trip achieved what it was intended to do - to see the lavender fields. Overall however, the trip didn’t seem worth it for the price point. There was too little time to explore the villages, the commentary by the guide was monotonous, and the lavender distillery/ shop stop did not have a good variety of products to purchase.

This was the best tour I've ever taken! Célestine is a wonderful guide, she is extremely knowledgeable and very warm, caring and helpful. Everyone on our tour had an exceptional day. The lavender fields were beautiful and the time we spent in the lovely village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie was a highlight for me. The stop at the lake was gorgeous and refreshing as well (bring a swim suit!). Merci beaucoup Célestine!!

Meeting point outside the tourist information centre, which was easy. Lovely drive to the lavender fields with Anthony, our very knowledgeable driver. He took us to some lovely locations and we even got to see the lavender being harvested, amazing smell! Then onto sunflower fields and some great photo opportunities. Finished with a tasting and talk at an olive oil production facility. Lots of products to buy - olive oils, lavender and local wines - I recommend the rosé! Knowledgeable attentive driver who even gave us some restaurant recommendations, thank you Anthony. Great experience, so glad we didn’t try to hire a car and do it on our own!

It was a great tour and more like a full day best of Provence tour rather than just lavender fields. For my taste could have focussed more on the lavender fields, the production,farming, etc. But spending time in a beautiful village was also great. What would have been really good to know is that the stop at Lake St. Croix came with an option to go swimming, which would have been amazing since there arent many lakes around or any opportunity to swim near Aix. But since no one was told, no one had bathing suits etc with them so we just sat hot and sweating next to the lake but couldnt go in...which then felt like a wasted stop.

Excellent tour of lavender fields. Sunflower field is a bonus. Lavender ice cream is a must try. Tasting of olive oils was unique.

This was amazing!! We saw so many lavender fields blooming everywhere! A sea of purple as well as fields of sun flowers and to finish the day off beautifully we had a cool refreshing swim at lake de st Croix! The colour of the lake was just like the pictures show!! I had a fantastic time in a lovely cool air conditioned van with Mary looking after us all!!

The vehicle’s microphone system was not working and sitting in the last row I could not hear the guide. The vehicle was also no convenient for older participants getting in or out. The vehicle we had in the tour the day bread much better.

Mid-June. They found the fields that were in full bloom. Even from morning to almost noon the crowds increased dramatically, so it was nice to not have to drive.

Overall I was happy because it was a beautiful day and my dream came true to see the lavender fields.
Was sorely disappointed in the tour guide’s knowledge and insights. He was very nice and professional but shared virtually no history or interesting details or facts about any of the areas we went to. Even had to ask him where it was he was dropping us off at to explore. If all you care about is visually taking it all in, then I recommend. If you want to learn and take in some history along the way, find another place. Also was disappointed we didn’t stop at more lavender spots and local farms.

It is a wonderful experience! Wear closed toe shoes and sunscreen. Be prepared to take lots of pictures! Julian was a marvelous guide and took us to the most beautiful and aromatic lavender fields!

The 4 hour tour was a good amount of time to go to see the beautiful lavender and sage fields. Our guide Pierre was professional, very nice and made the excursion very pleasant. He was also a great driver! Pierre helped with photography and answered many questions about the region.

Our driver had extraordinary navigation skills on narrow winding roads .The Lavender fields he showed us were beautiful… we visited

Really enjoyed our lavender tour with Anthony. Even though much of the lavender was harvested earlier than usual due to the heatwave, he found us a beautiful field and took us to a sunflower field as well. Also enjoyed a visit to a family run lavender business, which gave us a tour and tasting of olive oils and information about the different types of lavender and their uses. A fun and worthwhile lavender tour.

Wonderful trip through the lavender fields and sunflower fields. Olive oil tasting was delicious. The shop has so many fabulous items to choose from and the ice cream was delicious. Our guide was amazing.

Lavender trip is an adventure as the they may have been harvested. Our guide Coco tried her best to make our experience a memorable one. She looks after our wellbeing for example, toilet and lunch breaks.

Emmanuelle our guide was very informative, gave us ample town to take photos in the beautiful lavender fields. The visit to the beautiful hilltop village of Moustier St. Marie was a great place to stop for lunch and enjoy a walk around on your own. Our next stop in St Croix lake would have been perfect if the tour details said to pack a swimsuit and beach towel, because it was hot that day and the season for it. A quick dip in the beautiful crystal blue lake would have been refreshing . I would highly recommend this tour (and pack that swimsuit !)

Anthony was the BEST guide. Very knowledgeable of the lavender fields and crop process. The fields were an awesome experience and everything we thought they would be. Anthony was also extremely knowledgeable of the other areas we visited - the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie was like a fairy tale. We had free time to explore on foot and have a nice lunch. Then on to visit to the sunflower fields, an unexpected plus. Then the final destination of Sainte Croix du Verdon, it was one of the most beautiful lakes we’ve ever visited. There was time to swim (if you chose to do so), we opted for a glass of wine at one of the onshore establishments and enjoyed taking in the magnificent view. Recommend you book the full day trip to fully experience everything this area has to offer. A lot of ground covered in one day, but we never felt rushed. This was a 10 out of 10 event. Thank you Anthony for such a memorable excursion! We plan to come back this way on a future vacation and hope to book with you again!
