This was a great experience and our tour guide was great! It was so wonderful to see the lavender fields and the sunflowers. And seeing them at sunset was fabulous. The stop at the farm was so nice. It was a pretty long tour and I think I would’ve preferred 4 hours in total instead of 6+ hours. It was a lovely experience and I will recommend to others.

It was an excellent experience. The views and scenery were spectacular. We visited a lovely village and a few shops to purchase lavender infused items. I was a solo traveler but met several people which made the trip fun. I highly recommend it.

I will go again and again to Aix en Provence to see the Lavender!

    Tami_D, Jul 2025
The light of the sunset makes the lavender very much more vibrant. It is stunning! Make sure to bring bug spray, and potentially cover your ankles. I was immersed in the fields but returned with lots of bites. Also, plan the week you go to catch the lavender in full bloom, taking into account if the season has been hotter than usual hence the lavender will be harvested and cut sooner than later. we went July 12 and it was the last day before it was harvested. Next time I would go last week of june possibly. I am very interested in flowers and learned so many facts about lavender. I loved this! Friends did the 9 hour day tour as well as this and preferred this. They mentioned it was very hot during the day and the lavender not as beautiful. Our tour guide was wonderful. We would most likely go again. Southern france is an about gem and cannot be missed!

    Lavender at dusk

    Angie_S, Jul 2025
The tour exceeded expectations. The drive was comfortable. Our tour guide had a well planned evening and provided information on the area. We were able to see how lavender is bailed and explained about the essence extraction. Each stop had excellent photo opportunities and the dusk photos are my favorite of our trip. The lavender icecream is the most amazing thing I have tasted. Thank you for a beautiful evening. We found the pick up point confusing, so suggest clarifying with your guide ahead of time

    Sunset at Valensole

    PriscillaNgaYi_W, Jul 2025
Due to large bushfire near Marseilles, pick up in Aix en Provence was delayed by 1 hour. Guide Silvio dropped by a bakery for passengers to grab some food, then drove to Valensole. Stopped at a lavender shop for some shopping before spending 30 mins in Valensole village. Valensole village was very quiet when we arrived, only a few stores and bars were open. However, we still got to try the handmade lavender ice cream which was very yummy! Around 8 pm, we started heading towards the lavender fields. We stopped at 3 different lavender fields but only got to spend around 10 to 15 mins at each field, which was a bit too rush to enjoy and take some nice pictures. Would have been better if we got to spend at least 20 mins at each field. Overall, the sunset magic hour at Valensole lavender fields is amazing!

    Too long

    Mimi_B, Jul 2025
The lavender fields were gorgeous, but much of this tour was spent waiting around for the sun to set. I think it was 6 total hours, while 2 were driving there and back, it felt quite long. It felt repetitive as we went to about 6 different fields that mostly looked the same. I think the 2 or 3 last fields actually during sunset were worthwhile but the first 4 hours were largely spent waiting. Additionally, we wished we’d learned about the history of lavender in Provence or the process of making lavender products or the difference between the fields we saw. That said the fields were beautiful but it could’ve been a shortened to the last 2 hours during sunset.

This was an excellent way to see the lavender fields. We enjoyed going in the afternoon-evening. we would highly recommend.

    Unforgettable

    Paul_P, Jul 2025
This tour completely exceeded our expectations! The lavender fields were absolutely stunning and at sunset WOW! It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime sight. We took gorgeous photos and had so much fun. Our guide, Nicholas, was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and made the experience even more special with all the interesting information he shared. It was a magical evening from start to finish. Highly recommended!

    Love lavender!

    Katherine_A, Jul 2025
We had a wonderful time. The lavender fields at sunset were beautiful, and much cooler than earlier in the day. Jenny taught us all sorts of things about lavender.

    Buckley list item checked off

    Paul_R, Jul 2025
Going in the afternoon/evening was much better than in the day. This was everything I hoped the trip would be.

    Amazing experience

    Margarita_G, Jul 2025
Amazing views and fragrant lavender. We were lucky to experience sunflowers blooming as well. The sunset behind the lavender fields cannot be missed.

    Lovely but rushed

    Joy_B, Jul 2025
It felt rushed. I would recommend traveling to less lavender fields and only the best ones. We weren’t able to have a drink in town. The tour guide said it was because we took too much time at the fields but I think he lost track of time. It was still very beautiful.

Don’t be afraid to go alone

    Tanya_R, Jun 2025
Be willing to go alone, and be open to making divine connections in this beautiful space. The lavender is intoxicating and just opens the space for friendship

    Sunset lavender tour

    Tricia_R, Jun 2025
Van ride to several lavender fields - beautiful sights - plenty of time to take many pictures in lavender fields. Wonderful trip - highly recommend

    Wonderful tour. Miserably hot van.

    Barbara_K, Jun 2025
While the tour was fantastic and gave ample time to see multiple lavender fields in full bloom, and our guide was excellent, the condition of extreme heat inside the van was unacceptable. It’s not as if the company isn’t aware that this is the South of France and that it would be hot. The driver said that it would cool off, but until the sun went down, it never did. Everyone was very uncomfortable and unhappy about the heat. Even when the group would exit the van at, for instance, the lavender farm, and a breeze provided some relief, once back in the van it was stifling. I believe that there should be an adjustment in the price I paid, given that the tour advertised “an air-conditioned van.”.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

Hi Barbara, the van was air-conditioned, but as we stop very often in different fields, there is also not much time for the van to cool off. It is forbidden in France to keep the van running while it is parked, but that would be the only way to keep the van colder. If it was not air-conditioned, it would have been incredibly hot as there were over 35 degrees outside. thank you for the review,

    Nicholas was great - very...

    Brian_J, Jun 2025
Nicholas was great - very knowledgeable and dedicated to giving the group a positive experience. Sixteen people is too large for me, I discovered so I’d look for a smaller tour next time.

    Highly recommended

    Coraline_D, Jun 2025
It was well organized and absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide, Nicolas, was very flexible based on group member needs. He made sure to stop at a bakery before heading to the lavender fields because there were not a lot of places to get food up there, however, he also stopped at a small grocery store when a few of us were hungry! we did not get the typical sunset photos due to rain clouds coming in, but we still got something beautiful! We stopped at a few fields and then all made the executive decision to make one last stop in the very small town (instead of another field) to enjoy the local music fest that happened to be taking place.

    Almost everything is perfect.

    woojinfall, Jul 2024
Almost everything was perfect. The guide was very attentive to the customers. However, the 50 minutes of free time in Valensole village was little boring. The lavender farm was nice, but Valensole village was not so good. Thanks to Mr. Silvio.

    Beautiful sunset @lavender fields

    Veronica_T, Jul 2024
Nicholas brought tour participants to a series of really great lavender fields - dense rows of lush lavender flowers (compared to another tour, which also stopped at some lavender fields, those in the other tour were not as lush and it showed in the pictures), fields were not too crowded for good pictures, Nicholas also saved the best for the last - sunset on the hill with the beautiful lavenders - this tour really shows off the best of France’s lavender!

    Worth the trip!

    AD_W, Jul 2024
Lovely photo sites. The van was dirty and the AC did not work. The stop at the farm was nice. I would have liked to see more villages in the region.

    Wonderful Sunset Experience

    Lauren_M, Jul 2024
My friend and I were very excited to join this Lavender Field tour during our time in Aix-en-Provence. Our guide Silvio was easy to locate at the meeting point and handled our time on the tour well. He was knowledgeable about the region and knew which fields would be most beautiful as we were visiting at the start of the harvest in mid-July. Sunset was the perfect time to visit as we watched the colors of the lavender shift with the setting sun at each field we passed. We really enjoyed our stop at a family owned lavender, almond, and olive farm as we were able to learn about the growing process and sample the locally produced goods. At the start of our journey, we stopped at a cafe to buy dinner as Silvio knew the cafes in the town of Valensole may be closed by the time we arrived later. If we went again, we would have brought our own food, but appreciated the convenience and thought of the stop. The only other thing left to be desired was more information about the region as we went along, but Silvio answered all of our questions expertly. This tour was well worth the price for the convenience and experience.

    Guide was great and took...

    Kristi_R, Jul 2024
Guide was great and took us to several different Lavender fields. We also stopped numerous times for food, shopping and a visit to Valensole, a small village area. We got a late start though due to a passenger being 30 minutes late, which I think was a bit too long to wait. 15-20 minutes seems customary. Overall affordable and enjoyable.

    Perfect afternoon tour

    olga_s, Jul 2024
Perfect trip! We had a wonderful time and tooo amazing pictures! We were visiting an organic store and village as well as different lavender fields.

See as many lavender fields as you can! 💜

    VANESSA_H, Jul 2024
If you want to see as many lavender fields as possible, do this tour! I enjoyed the sunset golden hour at the various fields. We even got a chance to take pictures with sunflowers. We made a few spots to buy local lavender products, honey and oils. Enjoyable tour!

Lavender fields as far as you can see

    Janet_C, Jul 2024
Amazing views of so many lavender fields. Our tour guide Nicholas was knowledgeable and entertaining. Going at sunset was stunning and the weather was perfect.

    Beautiful and memorable.

    Karl_K, Jul 2024
Both drivers were very helpful and kind. We had a very tight train schedule but the tour guide drove us all the way back to Marseilles. Merci!

I would come back and recommend it to all of my friends

    Alena_F, Jun 2024
We’ve been to 6 or 7 lavender fields - all of them were magnificent. So beautiful, I kept smiling like a fool - you can’t help it in this magical place✨

    The majesty of lavendar

    Susan_M, Jun 2024
It was a very hot day and A/C in our van was not good at all. We were all very hot but the lavender was beautiful and we were taken to many fields and were not rushed.
