Enchanting shops and tastes!

Nancy_C, Jul 2026
So many insights about the unique shops and food culture of Aix en Provence. We got to know our genial host Thomas as a friend!

Great Tour with Thomas!

Jaime_W, Jun 2026
This food tour was a great way to experience all the best of Provencale food. Thomas did a spectacular job at taking us to the most authentic places in the city, including the market, sweet shops for Calais on candy, truffles, ice cream, and the famous Pan Bagnat sandwich. The tour was a slow paced to allow time for conversation and added city history. The picnic in a quiet alley was very nice. It was also great to connect with the other travelers in the group at the large table in the coffee shop. I highly recommend this tour with Thomas. Finally, make sure you go hungry!!

Spectacular Tour

Great Tour. Not rushed at all. Go to a lot of different spots with delicious tastings. Great to do early in your stay as it helps get a lay of the land.

We had such a fun time with Thomas on the Provençal food tour. We tried many different foods and learned more about authentic foods of the region. There was plenty to eat, we were very full at the end of the tour! Thomas also added historical info on the sites we passed. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, we highly recommend this fun and tasty afternoon food experience!

Great food tour of Aix with Thomas

A wonderful three hour trek through the city center of Aix en Provence. Great intro to the culture and cuisine of Provence. Got to sample everything from truffles to sweets from local small businesses, cheese and sandwiches from the open air market. Even enjoyed a coffee and ice cream. Thomas was great and full of information about the food, city and the region. Nice small group experience. Highly recommended- great value.

Fantastic!

What a wonderful tour! Thomas is a delight and his knowledge of local foods is impressive. We made multiple stops at small shops and the markets, all purveyors of local foods. Plus 2 sit downs at a coffee shop and a waffle/crepes/ice cream shop. A particularly nice touch was the mini picnic at an ancient small water fountain. I highly recommend. Come hungry!

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I’m truly happy you enjoyed this food tour in Aix-en-Provence. Sharing local foods, small artisan shops, and the lively markets of Provence with curious and enthusiastic visitors like you is exactly what I love most about my work. I’m glad the coffee stop, the waffle and crêpe tasting, and especially the little picnic by the historic fountain made the experience special for you. Thank you for coming hungry and for your kind recommendation. I hope to welcome you again for another gourmet discovery in Provence one day.
