Well worth the visit. A little tougher if you are tall. It can be quite a climb if warm like it was when we visited.

Elvis was so great! He communicated with us prior to our trip to get our itinerary just how we wanted it. When we arrived in Nagoya, he met us right off of the cruise ship and he was easy to find. He helped us navigate the subway system with ease and chatted with us along the way. He was knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited and helped take pictures of us in front of the castle. He stood in line for us whenever possible, so we could take some extra time to look around. He made our day very enjoyable and made sure we were all set to get back when we parted. We definitely made the most of these 4 hours and I highly recommend using this group, especially if the other guides are like Elvis!

Our tour guide Todd Miura took us to see the Atsuta Shrine and the Toyota Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed both sights with Todd giving us good information at both places. He looked after us very well, with the tour flowing very smoothly. Todd had a tight schedule to fulfill in the time available, but we would have appreciated a short break in between. To this end we ran out energy to fully absorb the second part of the tour being the visit to the Toyota Museum. I would recommend Todd as a future tour guide.

We had a great experience and Toshie was an amazing guide. She was friendly and personable, and she was very knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot about the history of Nagoya Castle and the shrine we visited. We highly recommend this tour, and if you're lucky enough to get Toshie as your guide, you will not be disappointed!

Todd was excellent & professional. We went to Nagoya Castle, Tokugawa Gardens & Mirai Tower in 4 hours. All great experience. We would highly recommend Todd & the next time spend more time at the Nagoya Castle & the beautiful Tokugawa Garden, since they also have a museum that we did not have time to see. Todd had an organized itinerary as we took the subway & taxi to our selected locations to efficiently & economically get from one place to the next.

We went to Nagoya Castle , Tokugawa Art museum and Tokugawa Garden. Masami Is our tour guide. We had to change the start time from 10 to 12. We really appreciate her willingness to accommodate the last minute request to pick up up from the Aichi art museum instead of from the cruise terminal. Which made our stay at Nagoya so pleasant.

We enjoyed the tour a lot! It was helpful to have someone who spoke the language and Matt taught us a lot about the history and culture. We loved learning about and performing the processes of purification, praying, etc. 10/10 would recommend. My group of 3 also appreciated that we did not have to be a in a tour group of like 20 and it was more personal. As a tourist in a foreign country, I felt like many of the other tourists did not know what they were doing and just wanted to take pictures. We however got to learn the meaning/history behind things and how to correctly respect another culture.
PS, also wanted to say it was helpful to have someone translate the luck fortunes because when I Google translated it, some of it made no sense! lol

My wife & I had a wonderful experience with our guide in Nagoya, Japan. Tomoko Tabata was the best guide we had in our 12 days of guided tours in Japan. She was very well prepared for the tour & used her iPad to provide helpful background info about Japanese history related to Nagoya Castle. Tomoko is an extremely knowledgeable, skilled and friendly guide who helped us understand what we were seeing in beautiful Nagoya. We will never forget our day among the cherry blossoms at Nagoya Castle.

Loved this tour and you will too! Excellent historical significance. Some of the compound is original and the part that was destroyed in the war was meticulously rebuilt. Tour guide was very informative and friendly.

Viator had seemed to struggle to find a guide for our half-day tour, but persevered and found our guide, Yuumi - and what a fabulous guide they found for us! We wanted just to cover the Noritake museum and gardens in our half-day in Nagoya and Yuumi had prepared pictures and diagrams to give us important context before we arrived on site and this made the tour a really great one! Yuumi had relevant explanations for any questions that we had and, as we found out a bit later, demonstrated her wealth of experience that she has in tour-guiding. All six of us were looking forward to our Noritake tour - Yuumi made it such an enriching, enjoyable and memorable tour - we cannot thank you enough for your care for us - thanks a million Yuumi!

Actually, I was given this job at the last minute, so I was hesitant about accepting it, but I felt the customer's feelings for Noritake and decided to do my best to guide them. Communication with the customer via email was very smooth and made me feel at ease from beginning to end.
The six people I met were all interested in various things, so I wanted them to not only take them to Noritake, but also to understand the relationship between Noritake and the land of Nagoya.
I went into some detail, but nothing would make me happier if you were satisfied with my explanations.

Castle ,wish we had more time. Buying train tickets taking most of the time. Only saw 2 places. Tour guide was very helpful. I guess lunch took up some time too!

We had a very good experience with Todd-san and our private driver. Todd-san was very accommodating and welcoming to our family with wheelchair users. He also had good knowledge on the places we were taken to. We definitely recommend him as a tour guide and it was a pity we had our own reasons for only managing to book a half-day tour!
