We had an amazing guide named George who went above and beyond. He had a clean Jeep, was extremely accommodating and a wealth of information. He hiked with us up Richtis Gorge and then took us to the oldest living Olive tree.. George most definitely made our excursion the best ever and we are very grateful.

Such a great experience! We would have never imagined the amazing sites that we experienced on this wonderful tour. Our guide was very thoughtful to allow us as much time as we wanted at the various destinations too.

Bait and switch - huge dissappointment

Our family of four are very active and appreciate nature and history. We booked the VIP Luxury Private Tour- Half Day - 4x4 excursion with Land Rover specifically to explore the Cave of Zeus and hike the Gorge to see the waterfalls and swim in the pools. The assigned excursion guide communicated prior to the excursion to firm up the itinerary for our party. We agreed on the caves, hiking the Gorge and exploring the Palace of Knossos. When our guide arrived to transport us, we were notified that the Land Rover was having mechanical issues, and a replacement guide and different Land Rover would have to take us. Our original guide was very nice and apologetic about the inconvenience. The replace guide arrived 45 minutes later. He too was very nice but wasn't familiar with our itinerary, had only lived in Crete (or Greece) for four years, informed us that the Caves of Zues was not open due to government closure/restoration (for months at this point), the Gorge was too far for a half day excursion and that the waterfalls had dried up so there wasn't much to see anyway. He did his best to accommodate us and come up with alternative options to fill the four hours reserved and paid. The excursion was nothing like advertised. We requested to be returned to the port so that we could fill our time on the cruise ship. Again, both guides were very nice, but this company fell short of delivering what was promised.

Thanks for your feedback. Here some answers: Yes we had a problem with the engine of a car in the morning. Other companies just cancel in such a case. We waked up another guide and replaced the car as fast as possible to make you happy. Even the first driver was coming to the port to welcome you, talk with you and wait with you. you have not lost any minute. I think we have done the extra mile what we are well known for. About your plans and the tour: In a short half day tour you cannot go everywhere on the island. You wanted to do 5 full day excursions in 4 hours. This is impossible. Example: from Heraklion its nearly 2 hours drive to the requested waterfall and 2 times 40 minutes walk. Plus a swim of 20 minutes or so. its already impossible in your 4/5 hour tour. We do many VIP Trips from Heraklion and our guests are always very happy. Sorry but you had really unrealistic, impossible plans in your head. You have not shared any of your ideas / plans with us the days before the tour. All Crete in half day is just impossible, even for you.

Excellent trip. Driver was on time, provided a ton of knowledge on Greece and Greek mythology. Stopped at a few places that weren't on our agenda along the way and even brought us to a local olive oil factory on our way back to the cruise port. Would highly recommend

Dream Day In Crete

We had an amazing time in Crete with our guide Armin. He is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, especially concerning history and archaeology and we learned a lot about the ancient Minoan culture. We had nothing planned and on the spot he managed to craft an absolutely perfect day for my mother and I. It ended up being one of our favorite days on a multi-island trip. Thank you!

Had a perfect day touring the island of Crete with our tour guide, Eric. Loved learning about olive oil and the history of how it is made. Informative and interesting and lots of good treats to try from olive pastes to olive oils to vinegars.
