Just short of the mark

Angelina_R, Mar 2025
I had a nice enough day, but we did not do all that was listed for the day and only found out that things would be dropped off of the itinerary when we were underway. This, for me, made the tour a bit less worth what I paid for. Again, it was a nice enough time, but at the end of the day just didn't quite meet my expectations.

An enjoyable way to visit the Barossa and Hahndorf

MillyMitra_D, Mar 2025
Paul, our guide and driver, made my visit to the Barossa and Hahndorf very enjoyable and memorable. He is informative and tells some great stories about this area with lots of passion. The included lunch of fresh wood fired pizzas, Winemakers platters and the not-to-be-missed hot chips at Lambert Estate Winery was really delicious. Also loved visiting Maggie Beer's Farm Shop and the quaint town of Hahndorf. All in all a great day!

Wine, Cheese & Hahndorf.

Renee_L, Dec 2024
Winery, candy and cheese tasting was nice. Lunch was very good. Hahndorf was quaint and walkable. We saw kangaroos. Roy was entertaining. Lots of driving. Tour lasted 8 hours. Probably spent 4 hours on the road.

Disappointing Day

Martin_B, Oct 2024
generally seeing the country side vineyards etc. We had a nice lunch at "the Spoon" Hahndorf. It was very disappointing. We did receive an SMS the day before to ask if it would be ok to substitute something else instead of Maggie Beer. We said yes but would prefer not another winery as we were already visiting 2. So we had No Maggie Beer or Substitute, No Mt Lofty Summit (only a drive along Mt Lofty Road), No Whispering Wall, No morning tea at Beerenberg Farm, only 1 winery at Yaldara,. Woodside Cheese, Melba Choclates and Beerenberg Farm are retail outlets only. The Tour only lasted about 7 hours, not 8. Overall not what was advertised or we paid for. Could have had other tours a lot cheaper.

Great Day

Roy our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and we had a very pleasant day. All the stops were great. Melba's Chocolates were enticing. Maggie Beer's place was also great. Handorf was terrific, walking the main street and having lunch.

The Enchanting, Calming & Beautiful Barossa

Michelle_S, Jan 2024
Barossa region was well worth a visit. My friend and I made a second trip to experience high tea at the Chateau Barossa. Beautiful countryside, wineries and weather. Our tour driver Roy was a lot of fun and kept us entertained throughout the day. A great story joke teller with a marvellous sense of humour. Michelle Skinner - 17 Jan 2024

Sharryn Thank you for leaving your review and the extra glasses of wine I'm so happy that you enjoyed your two region tour of the Barossa and Hahndorf and look forward to seeing you again next time you visit Adelaide. Greig

Great Tour, but we visited Hahndorf too early in the morning.

Jan_A, Nov 2022
The best part of this tour was that it is fairly small and private. You're not waiting around or crammed into a bus with a lot of other people. It was quite the intimate experience and you will have a chance to meet some great people. The tour took us to Hahndorf first and this was the most unfortunate part. They really should do Hagndorf last or in the afternoon because when we arrived it was 9am and most stores do not open until 10:30am or later. We spent quite a bit of time just walking around window shopping. There is an opportunity to get breakfast so this might be the best thing to do since it is so early in the morning. Fortunately the nice people at the Hahndorf Inn served me a Liter of beer before I had to head back to the tour van. After Hahndorf we visited two wineries and then some random place the guide took us to. I don't know what the official third tour is supposed to be nor do I know why we ended up at Brothers at War. Either way it was an excellent stop along the way as were the two wineries before that. Barosa is a very beautiful valley and our guide took us on the scenic route which we very much appreciated. All in all you will get your fill of wine and sights to see. This was a great experience and I'd recommend it to anyone. Just know that the early visit to Hahndorf will leave you wanting more.

Jan Thank you for the review of the Barossa Hahndorf Tour. When we first started this tour we did Barossa first and then Hahndorf in the afternoon but unfortunately it was worse because the shops were starting to close down by the time we arrived from Barossa. When doing regions where the two areas are 75 km apart and will take a whole day to do each of the regions so it seems that we are damned if we do or damned if we don't because we can't get to Hahndorf in the middle of the day which is the best time to see shops open. The two regions involved being so far apart makes this impossible. I like to tell my customers that look at it as a taste of Hahndorf and a taste of Barossa because the only real way to see Hahndorf properly is to spend half a day there and Barossa a whole day . Some our customers have gone back to spend a day in Hahndorf to do just that . This tour is designed to give you a little bit of sightseeing and a little bit of wine as ant to visit both our beautiful regions of Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa at Barossa Valley. I am so glad that you enjoyed your time with Leana our guide of the day and that she made things a little more interesting by throwing in a extra stop. I look forward for you to try one of our full day single region tours where you get to experience that region over the whole day. Once again thank you for your review I look forward to seeing you again. Greig

Beautiful Barossa

Doreen_B, May 2022
The Barossa part of the tour was good. 3 wineries were visited. At Château Yaldara there was a tour of some of the tunnels as well the wine tasting. Lunch was at Lambert Winery and was very good. The Murray vineyard was my favourite destination though and I enjoyed sampling their wine. Hahndorf was a little disappointing though with many of the shops being closed and others looking a little tired. It was still pleasant to stroll around it, though time there was short. My guide for the day (Paul) was good company and knowledgeable. My thanks go to Greig for going out of his way to accommodate me taking this tour. I was the only person booked for this particular tour but he still made it happen.
