Wonderful day enjoying the Douro River valley.

Well organized fun bus trip into the Douro River valley. We met up at 7:30a with Milena our guide for the day who proved to be extremely knowledgeable on everything to do with the area. We participated in Port tasting at 2 different vineyards after in-depth information on wine production. A v tasty 3 course lunch was served but the best experience was the 50 minute boat trip down the Douro river. We Highly recommend this adventure

Fabulous well organised trip and Chris was great and very friendly! It’s a one and a hour hour journey each way but well worth it as the scenery is so beautiful. Wine/port tasting with bread and olives/olive oil then a delicious lunch with wine and desert great value for money and the other two couples were great company. Definitely recommend!

Excellent way to fit so many experiences into a short stay

Great way to experience several different aspects of the wine country all without the stress of planning. The tour was seamless in traveling to the Douro valley, exploring vineyards, enjoying the views from the river and a family serve style lunch. Then rounding out with a train ride and comfortable trek back. Our tour guide started off a little rocky from a late night before but he jumped in and was a great sport and we had a great time. The van was comfortable, the lunch was excellent and served family style with many options of local food staples. The wine was always flowing and you could tell all the staff at each place had such a love for sharing their country and culture with others. It was truly a delight. There’s no way we could have seen so much in that short of time, and times everything so perfectly to fit together. So glad we booked this experience or we would have missed out on such an amazing part of Porto

This was a great tour. Our driver, Luis was wonderful, informative and entertaining. The three wineries we went to were fun, especially the first one. Lunch at another winery was delicious. The boat ride on the Douro was also great. Our captain, Paco, was funny and made us a delicious cocktail served with appetizers. Highly recommend!

Highlight of our trip! Our guide Teresa was excellent! Very knowledgeable about the history of Portugal. We visited several authentic food venues, a tavern, a bakery, a wine store. The food was delicious and so wasn’t the beer, wine and port. It was a small group of nine so we also met some wonderful people. Recommend!

Worthwhile excursion from Porto.

You will see a lot of interesting areas and hear the history of the colorful fishermen’s homes. If If you have a free day in Porto, this tour is worth taking! Riding the Venetian gondola was interesting. Sit in the middle of the gondola otherwise you may not hear the tour leader as he points out sites in various languages. The pick up point was hectic because not clear to the travelers. We were told to look for « a guide wearing red ».
