What are people saying about Normandy

GREAT small tour that hit ALL the right notes - a must for WWII enthusiasts!
This was a great tour. Axelle (our young but VERY knowledgeable tour guide) was excellent! She made the entire tour so much fun and we learned so much. Because I majored in European history, going to the d day beaches has been a dream for many years and the tour hit all the right notes. We had plenty of time at the sites (except WW II museum but you could spend a WEEK there ha and not see it all). I thought I knew a lot about WWII but Axelle had many insights I didn't know and of course seeing it all first hand cannot be replaced. I still get chills thinking about the American Cemetery. Our group also was small (only 8 folks) so that made us nimble and easy to move around and avoid large crowds. I highly recommend this tour and this company.

D Day tour
Don't miss this excursion! Our guide, Sam,, was very knowledgeable and made the long day fun. The homemade sandwiches and chips were good and left us more time to see Omaha Beach. Walking through the American and German cemeteries was a reminder of the cost of peace.

We were hesitant to book...
We were hesitant to book the Viator since the cruise lines caution passengers about getting back on time before the ship sails. Since Viator offered the Honfleur and Deauville excursion we decided to do this one no regrets, the tour guide brought us back to the ship several hrs before departure and we were about to book another excursion to Le Havre. Viator tour guides are very aware of boarding times no need to stress...in fact now that we are comfortable with booking Viator Shore excursions we will continue to search out great excursions for our future trips! In addition Laurence aka Larry the tour guide was fantastic he was very patient always a nice smile when you asked questions always willing to help with making the trip the best! He always had a good side...I don't think he has a bad side, his personality was very nice!

This is a full day...
This is a full day experience. We were picked up right at our ship. The guide, Sam, was extremely knowledgeable. He used the travel time to the beaches for a history lesson leading up to WWII. Having known someone who was wounded at St. Lo, this was a very meaningful visit for us. Recommend very highly. We returned in plenty of time before the gangway went up.

The northern region of Normandy is one of France’s most emblematic, boasting centuries of history, iconic cuisine, and a rich tapestry of cultural heritage. Visiting the D-Day Landing Beaches and World War II sites rank among the most popular Normandy tours, but guided visits can also add depth when checking off must-sees like the Bayeux Tapestry and the Mont St Michel monastery. Beyond the headline acts, exploring Normandy like a local means embracing the slower pace of life: explore the countryside by e-bike or sidecar, stop for a cider tasting amid the orchards, or stroll the waterfront of Honfleur or Deauville.
