Great value, excellent tour guide

This tour was excellent. Sabit picked us up at our hotel (Park Hyatt) which was a bit from the main sites. He was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about history but was able to meet us where we were with our Turkish history for our first time in Istanbul. He was very flexible and offered many sights. In the morning we did the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cisterns. Then we had a nice lunch that was tasty and had good A/C for a little rest (very hot day in August!) We were debating going to the Topkapi Palace but once we realized how knowledgeable Sabit was we decided to go for it. It’s a much more extensive stop but we were able to do a significant part of it and see what we wanted with an engaged and informative guide. Then Sabit walked us to the Grand Bazaar and we did a quick walk through on our own and in the area. This tour is a great value for what you get. Sabit was flexible and clearly skilled in talking, letting us take breaks and knowing how to skip lines! He had all the insiders knowledge to cut some of the largest lines and get us in faster (especially valuable in the heat and summer crowds). He clearly loves his job and it shows in how the tour goes.

Private guide -Worth it for families!

We did a 1 day private tour with Feyza as we have two teens and knew a group tour would be difficult to keep up with. Feyza set our expectations of each place we wanted to visit, particularly the Hagia Sophia since it is under reconstruction. She understood our needs very well, spoke amazing English, suggested a fantastic lunch place and overall was a very knowledgeable guide. It was a very enjoyable and valuable experience. She took very good care of us.

Very nice trip along the Bosphorus River. Food and drinks were great. Our waiter very attentive, and also helped us at the time of taking photos of the sceneries. Also the music performance and dancing shows including the belly dancer were good. Recommended.

Time well spent

From where our hotel was located, the tour was 100% a walking tour. Our guide was knowledgeable about the historic sites we visited and how the culture in Turkey has been formed over the centuries as this region sits between Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We were exhausted at the end of our day but believe our time and energy were very well spent. Our guide introduced us to a “locals” restaurant. The food and price were fabulous. We highly recommend this tour but be sure to cover your knees if you are a man and women bring a scarf to cover your head and a sweater or shawl for your shoulders. We were very happy with our decision to take a private tour as opposed to trying to stay up with many of the larger “group” tour groups we saw while out and about during our tour yesterday.

Well worth the cost!

Come hungry and bring Tupperware! It was a delightful day. Ali was friendly, fun, patient and full of great information. We learned so much. We did walk quite a bit further than it said, so be prepared. There was a great selection of things to try and way too much food, so remember that when you are at the first stop.

First hammam ritual was intense

First experience visiting a Turkish hammer and it was memorable to be sure! We arrived almost an hour early but the friendly staff said they could take us immediately. First up was a 15-minute hot marble rest in a very hot steam room. Next was a 10-minute hard body scrub and a 20-minute foam massage. We also added a 30 minute oil massage. The experience was INTENSE, much more aggressive than any massage I've had previously. I probably will stick to my more relaxing Swedish massages from now on, but I'm glad I got to experience this at least once.

A must-do in Istanbul

This wasn’t part of our original plan, but our guided and hotel both told us it was a must do, so we booked. The price was reasonable and the hotel pickup was hassle-free. And the cruise itself was amazing. You get a sense of Istanbul’s size and history, and it’s simply gorgeous. We asked and were told the best seats were in the back—we got a seat on the left (if you’re facing the front of the boat) and it was perfect. The coast was on our left the whole trip, so we had the best views for photos! Bring a light jacket—even on a 90° day, I wore mine the whole time on the water!

Great Tour of Blue Mosque etc

Our family really enjoyed our tour. The guide was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We were always given ten minutes to roam in each site on our own to take photos etc. The basilica cistern (optional) was closed for unforeseen repairs, but we were given the choice for a refund of that admission or an alternate cistern. We chose the alternate. Highly advise doing the cistern option as it’s a neat different thing to see but also, especially in summer, it’s about 10° cooler down underground in the cistern so it’s a lovely break from the heat. Would definitely recommend this tour and this company.
