Taking a gondola ride through the canals of Venice was an unforgettable experience—romantic, peaceful, and truly one-of-a-kind. From the moment we stepped into the beautifully crafted gondola, we felt transported back in time. It is high season so we booked online but there was a lot available onsite for $40 Euro's a person.

This is not a private ride. My husband and I had to share with another couple. They had room for 1 more but no single riders. Only 2 comfortable seats on the gondola.

This was a lovely gondola ride through the grand canal and through a smaller canal as well. There are only up to 5 spots on the gondola so sharing with a few other people was not bad at all.

Be ready for many many distractions and waterways activity and have your camera ready.
Dread for weather and have plenty of hydration on hot summer days.

A good experience but I think it did not provide the experience I was expecting. It was confusing trying to figure out where to wait as it was not well signed. Only seeing a few people with the same ticket as me by a advertisement poster I knew to stand where we did.
On the experience, it felt far quicker than 30min as we just went round a square round the back of a few hotels and that was it. Most of the time we were stuck in an extremely long queue in the river with the gondolier talking to his friends on other gondola the whole way round. Looking at the itinerary, we did not see what we were meant to.
Disappointing for the money spent on the experience.

First, I thought it was a private boat ride, but it was not. That’s my fault for not reading the fine print. But I mainly rated it as I did because our gondolier did not say the first word. He did not say hello, goodbye, point out, landmarks, etc.. riding in the gondola was of course fun, however, it would have been nice had the gondolier pointed out some things or at least said hello.

It was hot. We had no information given us on the ride and it was very fast. I would not recommend gondola ride with the fighter.

We were running late and were gonna miss our time slot and they very kindly let us go on the next time slot. Great ride, goes fast and you do a short loop! Gondolier wasn’t very friendly and didn’t talk to us at all which was a pity!

The experience was good. I wish the gondoliers would have talked about the city of Venice instead of screaming at each other the whole time and whistling. My family and I felt uncomfortable as throughout the whole ride they were just screaming at each other back and forth in Italian and laughing. I wish they would have talked about the city of Venice and explained a few things to us.

If you are in Venice, you have to take a gondola ride. My family of 5 was able to be in one gondola and it was a great way to see the city. The gondeliers were whistling and singing. It was just so much fun to experience.

Had a difficult time getting to you on time. Therefore we missed our ride with no offer of compensation. Fine. One thing that made it difficult was knowing where you were located BEFORE booked. That would have been helpful. Also, shared was in small print.

The meeting point was easy to find & we collected our tickets with no issues. As a group of five, we fitted in one gondola. It was a lovely peaceful ride through the smaller canals & our gondolier shared a small amount of information. Whilst we did enter the Grand Canal, the starting point is nowhere near the ‘main part’ so there was no view of the Rialto Bridge. This didn’t matter to us as we’d already visited there, but if that’s important then pick one closer to that area. There are rides available all over the city so booking in advance was not really necessary and I felt had cost us significantly more to pay for 5 tickets rather than hire one shared gondola.

This may be the typical experience in Venice during the crowded summer season. The ride is 30 minutes of slow going with lots of company (gondolas practically touching each other the entire time). The people are nice but they tried to stretch it out with a virtual reality experience for which half the headsets did not work and taking a walk through crowded streets before boarding your gondola. If you have less than 4 people it also will be a shared ride with strangers.

Sorry to give a poor rating. I missed my gondola ride because my flight was 2 hours late. It was impossible to catch up.
I tried to get to the ticket office at 1930 cuz that is when I can get there but the office was close so I guess I lost my money and the experience.
I tried to book the next day but the timing is not right. So I guess it is not meant to be at this time.

We never found the right gondola ride. Walked for hours. Saw lots of other ride places. Shouldn't have paid ahead. Should just selected one during our walk. Very disappointing experience.

The gondola ride starts out on the grand lagoon, and then goes into the narrow canal of Venice. Well, worth the money.

This is a shared ride so you share it with others if you are not a party of five. It goes up a little bit of the grabd canal and a frw mini streets and back again.

The canals in Venice are just so unique. Getting to experience them up close in a gondola was a great opportunity. Our gondolier was less great. There were 5 people on our boat. He kept telling everyone to either lean to the right or be still throughout the whole ride. He didn’t point anything out to us or even talk to us. That was a bit disappointing.

I understood this was a private gondola but we had to share with a newlywed couple. They herded us on like cattle, the gondolier didn’t speak to us at all and he was on his cell phone most of the time, and the canal was PACKED with boats. Luckily Venice is undeniably magical and seeing it from the canals was beautiful and memorizing—we took beautiful pictures and it was a good memory for our trip!

I was not aware that we were sharing the gondola. We arrived and ended up sharing it with 2 other people. Luckily they were nice and we talked and took each other’s pictures.
Our driver did not say one word to us or sing any songs. When we were taking photos he would look away and at one point he was on his phone. What a disappointment! I would choose a different company next time. I’m just thankful the ride was only 30 minutes. They also rushed us getting in and getting out of the gondola. I don’t recommend taking this tour.
