What are people saying about Venice

The value of a semi-private tour with an experienced guide.
Venice's St. Mark Square, St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace are "must sees." The question for us was how much time we wanted to allow for "seeing and standing in line." We decided to do a semi-private (7) tour with Francesca of LivTours as our guide. I had limitations with stair-climbing and standing for log blocks of time. When we met, Francesca had already planned for my needs in the Bacilica and the Palace. We accesed both through private entrances. The Palace had an elevator and Francesca provided a "guardian angel" to escourt me to where the group was meeting on each floor of the building. Plus, there was a special exhibition in the Doge's personal quarters that only I got to see on the way to/from the elevator. Francesca was very knowlegeable and answered every question our group had. She tied Venetian history together with paintings and other art we saw, and was obviously proud of her heritage. But, my husband I will long remember her timing of the tour, and the special care for my needs that made the semi-private tour well worth the cost. Thanks Viator and LivTour.

Definitely a must
An amazing day with the perfect guide. Nico made everything incredible and pivoted on the fly with any change we wanted. He picked a wonderful restaurant filled with locals and the food was unbelievable. His knowledge of Venice and his passion are immeasurable. We were truly blessed to have him as a guide

Amazing experience
The best decision we made on this trip!!! Soroush showed us things we would have never found on our own. He was friendly, knowledgeable, gave us interesting information and felt more like an old friend showing us his city vs a stranger we hired. He even showed us a great place for dinner. Cannot say enough nice things about our experience. 100/10 would book again!!

Spanish guided tour with Maria
We did the Spanish guided tour with our guide Maria. The tour was mainly for my parents who speak Spanish and wanted a nice historical tour around Venice. Our guide Maria provided just that! She was very interactive and answered all my parents questions! The only downside was the rain but other than that we had a nice time. Gracias Maria!

Great introduction to the Dolomites. If you have never been, do it.
It was a quick getaway to the mountains from Venice. In an hour we were into the pretty pre alps and then another hour into the Dolomites proper which are stunning and even more beautiful than the Alps in my opinion. We enjoyed the views. Our driver knew the area well, made impromptu stops for pictures and some for a brief background history before he would drive to our stop. We spent time in Cortina and then at Motrin’s lake at the foot of the Tre Cema de Lavaredo park for lunch. There was ample time to walk around the lake after lunch. The views across the lake in every direction were amazing. Then we stopped in Auronzo to look at another beautiful lake. And then for our final stop we stopped in Longarone for some yummy ice cream.

Mikaela was a wonderful...
Mikaela was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable about the area and the specific sites we visited. We spent the right amount of time at both Murano and Burano and the boat rides to and from were enjoyable as well. Would definitely recommend her as a guide.

Claudia is an outstanding...
Claudia is an outstanding guide and host to the city she grew up in, Venice. She knows the history inside and out and is passionate about explaining and sharing it. We especially appreciate her as this is our first visit. We could not be happier with our tour and gondola ride.

Excellent tour guide
We had just a few hours in Venice, and we were very lucky to have Vittorio as our tour guide. He was fun, knowledgeable, and very patient. We were a large group, and he waited for us to retranslate everything he said. We had two senior citizens with us, and he adjusted the pace to their needs. I highly recommend Vittorio as anyone's tour guide.

Marvelous island trip....
Marvelous island trip. Make sure to go to Torcello and it’s a good place to eat lunch at a nice restaurant away from the crowds of Burano. Our guide Clementina was 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The glass blowing tour is ok but ends with a hard sell of expensive handmade glass products.

Walking tour around Venice
We had a very nice time, Ester was lovely & catered the tour to suit our interests, we stopped for a coffee along the way. We went to areas that we wouldn’t have gone to, some of which were less crowded, she was knowledgeable about the area so that was great. Two hours was enough for us but you can go for a longer time if you prefer

The guide Syria was...
The guide Syria was fantastic! She talked about life in Venice, growing up here, challenges, history and future.
This is the second time we have been to Murano Glass but first time guided was so much better! We learned a great deal. All handmade glass is exquisite and purchased some lovely items for our home and daily use.

A Culinary Journey Through Venice’s Heart and History ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our private food tour with Giacomo was an absolutely delightful blend of gastronomy and cultural immersion.
Giacomo expertly guided us through various Venetian neighborhoods, using each carefully selected dish as a gateway to understanding the rich history and heritage of this remarkable city.
The culinary experience was exceptional—from fresh, locally-sourced seafood that showcased Venice’s maritime traditions to delicate pastries that revealed the city’s artisanal craftsmanship. Each sip of wine and spritz was perfectly paired not just with the food, but with fascinating stories about the neighborhoods we explored.
What elevated this tour beyond a simple food experience were the engaging conversations Giacomo facilitated about Venice’s evolution—its storied past, vibrant present, and promising future. His insights transformed each tasting into a meaningful cultural exchange, making the tour both highly informative and thoroughly enjoyable.
Giacomo’s passion for his city and its culinary traditions was infectious, creating an atmosphere where learning about Venice felt as natural as savoring its incredible flavors. This tour offered the perfect combination of exceptional food, rich history, and genuine local perspective.
We highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to truly taste and understand Venice. We’re already planning our return visit and wouldn’t hesitate to book another tour with Giacomo to discover even more of Venice’s culinary treasures!
