We truly enjoyed hearing about the history of the Bassilica. We learned a great deal from our guide. She was fantastic.
More importantly, dinner conversation around key take-aways was the best part

While we had no issues meeting up with the tour or the guide being informative, there were a few things that left it just a tour. We added on the dome climb which not only did my family not participate in the climb but not a single person from the entire group stayed to do it. We found out not before the tour started, or when the changes happened that the facility started to restrict numbers even further than prior. Had we known the changes and been communicated prior we would have gone in with a different mindset. Instead we stood in the full sun in a line for 45 plus minutes before finally being the last set of people from the tour to bail and not complete it. No water, no shade, no heads up it would be a very long wait and to prepare. Instead the guide tried to make it seem he was trying to find a way to get us in quicker some how, conveniently indoors in the air conditioning. Communication ahead of time and then pretending to try to make it so we magically could jump the line just to be in a temperature controlled area was a major disappointment after all of the other tour guides we have had the past week and a half. Another disappointment which is not the tour provider’s fault but added insult to injury for the experience was just the unimaginable number of people all in the same place. It was worse than Times Square on a busy day. Again, nothing the tour operator can control but I do warn you that this experience does not provide an even controlled feeling of a tour just due to the sheer number of people onsite there. Guide was knowledgeable and I will not take that from him. We saw what was listed and decided not to continue to stand in line for the dome as the heat was unmanageable with no reprieve insight. If you decide to attempt to do the dome climb ensure you have ways to stay cool and come prepared, we unfortunately did not have the info that could have prepared us for that.

While the guide was great, we were unable to do the climb due to them not having tickets for us. To try and get tickets, we waited in line for an hour, the guide left us, and we had barely moved up in the line. We had just done the underground of St Peter’s and had already been there for 3.5 hours, so we decided to leave to get to our next activity.

Beware, company did not help, reach out or give us a tour or tickets. We paid for nothing. Our experience: In a sea of thousands of people we are within a few meters of our meetup point (meetup on viator - no other) we are an hour early...no issue. Signs tel us in the sea of.people to fet in the line for those that made online reservations...we were suspicious we might not ne in the right place, so we ask the Security officials. They tell us we are in the right place. We get thru security, no bar code for the special tour we paid for and get notice Kay Kay tours has a red flag. We find Kay Kay tours and the tour guide tells us to leave and go back to the meeting point. We did, nobody was there.

Oh my word! What an experience! Words can’t describe the beauty of St. Peter’s Basilica. What is more, our guide Claudio to great care of us. Expertly getting us through the queue and into the Vatican as quickly as possible. Plus his knowledge and passion for the Vatican, church, and the history was fantastic!

Very nice tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I suggest allowing extra time after the tour to continue to explore the basilica more on your own - there is so much to see. The dome climb is definitely worth it.

We arrived late at the meeting point & the tour has already started however fortunately there was staff who was able helping us putting us back to the initial tour as they couldn’t put us into the next slot.
We didn’t catch the tour guide’s name, but all we can say is she has done an excellent job providing an insightful history behind St. Peter Basilica and the mastery of arts behind the magnificent architecture, very knowledgeable and able to maintain the whole activity in casual way (and humorous , too).
We chose to climb the total 551 steps to the ultimate dome on our own pace and enjoyed the beautiful Rome landscape from the top.
Thanks Kay Kay Tour for the unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

The tour was excellent, our guide was very good and knowledgeable about all aspects of the Basilica and underground toums. As my wife doesn't do stairs we had agreed that I would do the dome climb on my own. We didnt know and the guide didnt tell us that there was an elevator option that took you to the first level ( the internal balcony) which my wife could have done, so she missed out on that part.
Apart from that it was a good experience and we learned a lot that we wouldn't have known without the guide.
The views from the top ( outside the dome) were fantastic and worth the climb, which is quite extensive. ( 500 steps).

The overall experience was very good our guide was excellent and the dome climb was a highlight. Only negative was the 1.5hrs in the queue to get in.

Never, ever take this tour on a Monday or Wednesday! The crowd was horrible and there was only 2 security gates open. It took and hour before we even got close to the entrance. The tour guide did a good job of making the best of a bad situation but the pushing and shoving was brutal and sometimes hazardous. That being said this is a magnificent place to see, especially Michaelangeli's Pieta.

The tour itself is amazing though more crowded than expected. The tour guide was phenomenal with his knowledge and enthusiasm in what he talked about. I especially liked how he went above and beyond by speeding up the lines ahead of us in a graceful and polite manner.

Saint Peter‘s basilica is a must see when you’re in Rome. Our tour guide Sophie was very knowledgeable. She gave us so much insight into what we were viewing that we left feeling that we really knew everything about the Basilica
