Fabiana was fantastic. She waited for us, called us when we were running late, and was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable and passionate. We were a group of adults and teenages, and everyone really enjoyed the experience and gained an appreciation for that area.

Do not book Viator. They cancelled our tour a nigh before. Could not make at a different time next day. Did not issue a refund. Very unreliable. You get what you payed for.
JoAnne_H, Jun 2026
The guide failed to turn up. No one called to say tour cancelled. Will now have to seek reimbursement. Atleast communicate!!!

Great history of Rome in general and great segue into the Roman Jewish history. The guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to.

It was a very informative tour on streets we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. We really enjoyed it seeing and learning about something different

The tour was great. Our guide Luara was very knowledgeable and kind. She answered our questions with a lot of insight. She offered great food recommendations along the tour and maintained a good pace checking to make sure it worked for us all. We were amazing to learn the Jewish ghetto had roots far earlier than the world war. Would definitely recommend this tour.

History of Jewish life, ghetto, what happened in WWIi, plus other stops at Theatre of Marcellus , Tiber, Trastevere. Also a bit of traditional food also.
Heather_H, May 2026
Samuel (Sam) was our guide and he really made this tour worth it. So much knowledge about the history and buildings. Even shared extra little bits of history within the area to really give you a feel for how things were in the past. Super friendly and ready to answer any questions

Amazing experience. What a fantastic way to learn about the Jewish history of Rome. Guide was extremely knowledgeable. Well worth the time.
Gretchen_S, May 2026
There were only a few other people in our group and we learned so much on this tour. Our guide, Arkaprivo, who is a university student, knew so much and was an excellent guide. I highly recommend this tour.
Beth_K, May 2026
Great tour that goes over the history of the Jewish ghetto in detail. The tour allows plenty of time for questions.
At the end of the tour, our tour guy provided us via WhatsApp a list of places to eat, which was very helpful.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and the detail on the facts and figures were quite impressive. All the key sites were covered and completed at a comfortable pace.
Highly recommend the tour to understand some of the historical aspects.
Jacqueline_R, May 2026
This tour guide was completely out of her depth, impatient, and gave incorrect information (about where the term ghetto came from, even though that was the subject of the tour).
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your feedback. After reviewing the situation directly with the guide, we would like to clarify a few points.
Our guide is experienced, professional, and has consistently received many positive reviews from guests for both knowledge and presentation. The historical discussion regarding the origin of the term “ghetto” is nuanced and can vary depending on the historical interpretation or source consulted.
We also note that the discussion continued extensively through private WhatsApp messages with the guide late into the evening after the tour had already ended. While we fully respect constructive questions and feedback, our guides should also be treated respectfully and allowed personal time outside working hours.
We understand that the tour may not have matched your expectations personally, but we do stand behind the professionalism and quality of our guide.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.

Arka although not from Italy gave us a lot of good information about the sites. The tour was longer than expected but we'll worth it. He's a very knowledgeable guide!
Susan_R, May 2026
This was a wonderful tour in beautiful historic areas. Our leader, Caitlin, a knowledgeable Canadian, described each area in detail, with many historic facts.
Viviane_A, May 2026
Excellent walking tour. We learned quite a bit of history, and saw many interesting sites. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and articulate.
Andy_M, May 2026
This was an amazing 1.5 hours of the Jewish ghetto in Rome. Fabi was simply excellent - she was professional, knowledgeable and most importantly passionate
vivian_r, May 2026
Very easy, not long. Friendly and informative guide. A little confusing as the price stated on Booking.com is only the booking charge. You then have to rate your guide and pay again.
Kevin_D, May 2026
Caitlin possesses a treasure chest of knowledge. Everything from the source of cultural food to the people, sights, and events that affected the Roman Jewish community for millennia.
Maureen_S, May 2026
Touring the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere was more than we expected. Our tour guide, Gurban, was brilliant and truly made seeing this part of town worth while. And we thoroughly enjoyed his suggested restaurant for dinner!

Our guide, although very informative was hard to hear and walked way too fast, even though we frequently asked him to slow down
