It was enjoyable. Only issue is if you want to look at the other exhibits make sure you get your ticket from the tour guide.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and taught us all about the castle and museums within the complex. We had time to explore on our own afterwards which was awesome.

An amazing tour that turned out to be a private one when we were the only ones booked onto it! Our tour guide was so warm and friendly and had a great sense of humour! She was very knowledgeable and gave ample time during the tour to look, ask questions and take photos. At the end of the tour she advised us on what else our tickets allowed us to do and where to go etc. wish I’d got her name to recommend her.
On a side note I’d also commend Viator for not cancelling the tour due to only us booking it. A different tour company had done this to a couple on a different tour we were on so a shout out and thanks to Viator and the tour operator for that😊
There is a good overview of the castle and all antiquities within. After the overview you should go on your own.
These are Milan’s “must see” spots. So having a knowledgeable guide is a “must have”. We recommend this tour , though note that it doesn’t include a trip to the Duomo roof if that’s important to you.
Amazing structure with an amazing history. You really need half a day at least to visit all the museums and appreciate this marvelous piece of Milanese/Italian culture. Highly recommend a visit!
The castle is intresting, not quiet what we were expecting but cool. It has turned more into a gallery / museum for artifacts from across Milan rather than the castle itself.
The guide was nice, knowledgeable ect. No criticism of her but feel this could be done with an audio guide on sale at entry.
Would I recommend it? Yes but equally feel a guide is not necessary.
I was originally scheduled for a tour at 2:00pm . I was contracted by the tour provider that I needed to change the asap or my tour would be canceled. I was given a choice of two times and I abruptly chose 4:00 pm.
After speaking with my husband, he informed we would be unable to make the 4:00 pm tour so please ask for a refund.
The tour company stated they could not do a refund. I said ok, could you at least give me a credit to participate in the tour another day? They declined and said they would not give me a credit either.
So I basically lost almost $300 for nothing. I am very unhappy with this situation and it could have been handled much better.

Thanks for sharing your experience. The refund request could be processed only in 2 cases:
- the tour did not take place
- the tour is cancelled without a reason
The refund was asked less than 24 hours before the tour, every modification or cancellation has to be done before 24 hours; this is a policy of the Viator, which is clearly written when you book the experience (it is stated that you can receive a refund if you cancel the tour not after the 24 hours).
You accepted the date and time, so if you had something else planned you should have chosen another time.

Anna gave us the most amazing tour of the Sforza Castle. She had so much history packed into her brain it was amazing how much she shared with us! Including all the info behind Michaelangelo’s last work. It was really breathtaking to know he was working on that 5 days before his death at 88! Anna was so passionate about everything. We were lucky to have her all to ourselves on this day. Don’t miss this!

My husband and I had an enjoyable tour of Sforza Castle, the surrounding areas and the two connected museums. Our tour guide was informative, interesting and well equipped to share a ton of great knowledge about what we were looking at. As someone who loves history and art this tour was a great combo of both! Plus how cool to see an unfinished Michelangelo statue?!
The tour guide waited for all the group even though we stared 10 min late. The ear pieces made it easy to follow along. We loved learning the history behind the buildings and artwork.
One can spend a full day at this castle, its grounds and museums. A 1.5 hr tour is really just a primer. The history of the family, the unfinished Pietà, and the beautiful park setting made this tour a must for a first-time visitor to Milan.
The castle is not as big as we see in the image.. Not the same as it is in castles in London or Paris.. Nothing much to see.. however, for me, the museum was worth seeing
It was a hot day and Renata made a point to stay out of the sun whenever possible. Excellent guide and good tour of the grounds. Too bad that due to history not much exists of the original furnishings and decorations but the museums are nicely done.

Extra cost for a private tour is SO worth it on a visit to Sforza Castle and Michelangelo’s sculpture Piete Rodanini. My guide Danielle was amazing. I learned so much, so fast. And cried as Danielle described the history of the sculpture. It was a day I will always treasure.
It probably ranges from your to your however our guide had a very heavy accent so it was challenging to understand her at times. The nice part was that you could use the ticket after the tour to explore additional parts of the museum.

The guide who did the tour is half german, so maybe it's for this reason that the accent sounds different from what we're used to hear.

Our tour was excellent, informative and interesting. Our tour guide, Anna Maria, is one of most interesting people we have ever met I would recommend that tour any time.
Great tour. Perhaps a little rushed being at the end of the day with the museum closing at 5pm. A couple arrived late to the tour, but the guide handled it well. Very informative and highly recommended.
We loved taking a tour of the Castle. Our guide was great. He knew all the history. We will be using Viatour again!
Gorgio was a knowledgeable guide. We would have wandered about, admiring, but not really understanding the significance of Storza Castle or the Rondanini Pieta.
