A great tour that provided a fascinating insight into one of Milan’s iconic landmarks. The guide was brilliant hitting the perfect balance between providing information and humour to make the tour a fun and enjoyable experience.
Nancy_K, May 2026
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny. She personalized the experience and made it relevant
Angela_H, May 2026
The experience was very nice and educational, our tour guide Maria was great.
Viator - not great. The only reason we gave it 1 star is because of the Duomo tour with Maria. We scheduled and paid for tickets at a confirmed time 10:00. Our tickets said 10:00. We got there at 9:30 and found out that our time was changed to 11:00 and had to wait another hour for that tour. Another party of 2 had the same thing happen to them and they couldn’t stay for the 11:00 tour and were turned away. Not a good experience!
Also we scheduled and paid for a Last Supper tour and received a confirmation. A few weeks before our scheduled tour we were sent a cancellation (without any explanation) and no options to reschedule at another time or day. I was told to just keep calling to see if there was an opening. That was VERY disappointing. So based on these two issues one star is all this experience deserves. Very unhappy with your company and the whole experience.
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Angela,
Thank you for your kind words regarding our guide Maria; we are glad you enjoyed the educational aspect of the tour. However, we must respectfully clarify the situation regarding the time change, as your 1-star review penalizes our team for an issue we addressed transparently weeks in advance.
Our records show that we contacted you via email a week before the tour to notify you of the schedule adjustment, explicitly stating: "The new meeting time will be 10:45 a.m. with departure at 11:00 a.m."
On May 15, 2026, at 06:32 PM, you personally replied to that email confirming:
"Yes will be there at 10:45 on the 22nd. Angela Haskell"
Despite this written confirmation, you unfortunately arrived at 9:30 a.m. according to the old schedule. While we understand that keeping track of travel details can be difficult, it is deeply unfair to rate our service with 1 star when we provided the correct information well in advance and received your explicit agreement.
We kindly ask you to re-verify your email history and consider removing or updating this review. Our staff worked diligently to keep you informed and ensured you could still experience the Duomo, and it is disheartening to be penalized when we acted strictly according to the confirmed arrangements.
Best regards,
Davide

We are so glad we signed up for this tour. Our English speaking guide was so knowledgeable , which made the experience so meaningful. She pointed out so many details that we would not have noticed on our own. We really enjoyed this tour and the views from the top were amazing! Highly recommend!
Yury_S, May 2026
We purchased two tours approximately five months in advance. A few days before the excursions, the company changed the schedule, making it impossible for us to attend both tours. Because of this, we wasted valuable time instead of booking with another company. We were assured that we would receive a refund..
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Yury Slutsky,
Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely understand your frustration regarding the schedule conflict, but we would like to clarify the exceptional circumstances behind this change.
As we previously communicated, the schedule modification was forced by an extraordinary and sudden closure of the Cathedral, which was decided by the monument's administration with very little notice. Because this closure applied to the entire monument, no other agency or company would have been able to operate a tour during those hours, as the site was completely inaccessible to the public.
As soon as we received this official notification, our team acted immediately and correctly to reschedule the tour times to ensure our guests wouldn't miss the experience entirely. Furthermore, the refund was issued immediately by our team as a gesture of goodwill. You can easily verify the completed transaction directly with your bank and through Viator customer support.
While we deeply regret that this disrupted your travel plans, this situation was completely outside of our control. We kindly ask you to consider that our staff did everything possible to manage an unpredictable emergency, and we would truly appreciate it if you would consider removing this review, as it penalizes a team that acted transparently and with no fault of their own.
Best regards,
Davide

Simone was an amazing tour guide for our visit to the Duomo in Milan. The entire experience was absolutely jaw-dropping from start to finish. Simone’s knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought the history and architecture of the Duomo to life in a way that made the tour unforgettable.
He kept the group engaged the entire time and shared fascinating details that we would have never discovered on our own. The views, the history, and the overall experience exceeded all expectations. If you are visiting Milan, this tour is a must, and Simone is the perfect guide to lead it!

It was a great tour. We were late, but we hooked up with chiara on the roof and she was very welcoming. She brought us up to speed with the tour and also the tour company was very helpful with getting us the tickets, even though we were late. We very much appreciated that. Chiara gave us great information. It was very funny.
Anna_A, May 2026
Where to find your actual tour guide. As there were 3 other tour groups meeting in exactly the same place. Very stressful trying to find the right group. Also the radio coverage was very poor and many times especially when moving to the roof. The tour guide also went first in the lift to the roof. She should have gone last to ensure everyone got through the 2nd security check and those that didnt could give back their radios. In my tour someone didnt get through the security check and decided to leave the tour, therefore bring unable to rerurn the radio to the guide. She was not happy with this a nd disrupted the tour trying to deal with it. Not professional . Something else needs to be put in place to avoid this in the future. She also talked extremely fast and it was hard to understand her numerous times .
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Anna,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we appreciate all input regarding our logistics, we must clarify the exact dynamics of what occurred, as the situation was caused by a security violation rather than unprofessionalism on the part of our guide.
The disruption arose because a member of your party (your husband) attempted to pass through the cathedral's strict security checkpoint while carrying a 20 cm statue. For obvious and non-negotiable security reasons enforced by the monument's police, such large objects are strictly prohibited on the terraces.
Our guide cannot predict what items guests bring in their bags, nor does she have the authority to override the decisions of the cathedral's official security staff, who were simply doing their job. When your husband was denied entry and chose to leave, the guide had to pause the tour to address the logistical issue of the unreturned radio equipment, which belongs to the agency.
Regarding the logistics, the meeting point is a highly designated area, and our guides always carry identification signs to stand out. Furthermore, the guide enters the lift first precisely to welcome and gather the group at the top as they exit, preventing participants from getting lost on the busy terraces. Lastly, radio signal drops inside the thick stone walls or near the security metal detectors of ancient cathedrals are a known technical limitation of the structure itself.
We are sorry that your experience was stressful, but the situation was handled as professionally as possible given the circumstances.
Best regards,
Davide

VIATOR for years has been our first choice Activity vendor. Not any more. We had an horrific experience in Milan yesterday, where our tour time was changed with no notice, even though we had reconfirmed the reservation and got there early….
SOOOO We got up early for nothing, took a cab instead of the Metro ( which was more costly)—-ALL for nothing AND we missed seeing the much acclaimed DUOMO SKIP THE LINE TOUR…and COULD NOT adjust to a Viator 11am Tiur as we had Rail reservations.
We are not happy—& have now cancelled two upcoming VIATOR RESERVATIONS
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Marita,
Thank you for your feedback, but we must respectfully and strongly clarify the timeline of events, as your claims of receiving "no notice" are factually incorrect and easily disproven by our email exchange.
We did not change your time without notice. In fact, one week prior to your tour, we sent you an official email stating: "The new meeting time will be 10:45 a.m. with departure at 11:00 a.m." To this exact message, you personally replied with the following confirmation:
"Confirm received notice about earlier arrival time for Milan Super Saver Skip the Line Duomo tour. Marita O'Reilly"
Despite having acknowledged and confirmed this new schedule via email, you unfortunately arrived at the meeting point at 10:00 AM instead of 10:45 AM, and later missed the 11:00 AM departure that you had agreed to.
We completely understand how frustrating it is to misremember a schedule and disrupt your travel plans, including your rail reservations. However, it is deeply unfair to penalize our agency with a damaging review for a change that you explicitly confirmed you received and accepted days in advance.
We kindly ask you to review your email history and remove this review, as it penalizes our business for an oversight that was completely out of our control.
Best regards,
Davide

Excellent tour guide / very knowledgeable and well informed about the duomo cathedral and all of the history surrounding it - highly recommend it to anyone visiting Milan for the first time !
Lynne_B, May 2026
It is tight corners, small elevator snd if you have to use a restroom you have to give back your mic and cannot continue tour. Very disappointing
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Lynne,
Thank you for your feedback, although we must note that complaining about architectural limits in a structure whose construction began over 700 years ago is somewhat misplaced.
Naturally, a medieval Cathedral was not designed for modern tourism, and its narrow spaces or small elevators are obvious historical constraints. Instead of finding these aspects disappointing, we believe visitors should appreciate the incredible engineering and architecture of a monument that is completely unique in the world.
Regarding the headsets, our tours last only about 2 hours. If a guest needs to leave the group for any personal necessity, it is standard procedure to temporarily hand back the radio equipment. It is immediately returned as soon as you rejoin the guide.
We hope that, upon reflection, you can still appreciate the extraordinary privilege of visiting such a historic site.
Best regards,
Davide

Great tour and tour guide! The tour guide had a great deal of knowledge on the subject matter and his english was very strong making it much easier to absorb what he was saying.
MATTHEW_C, May 2026
The tour guide was very nice had good information but there where too many people on the tour and the headsets keep loosing connection.
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Matthew,
Thank you for your review and for your kind words about our tour guide's knowledge and friendliness.
We would like to clarify that the number of participants on our tour strictly adheres to the maximum group size stated in our official product description, which we never exceed.
Regarding the headsets, any temporary loss of connection or interference is unfortunately due to the high volume of signals and total people present inside the Cathedral at that moment, rather than the size of our specific group. The heavy concentration of electronic devices in the same historical space can occasionally disrupt the frequency, and we always do our best to manage this.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us maintain our quality standards, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.
Best regards,
Davide

Chaira was our guide and she was wonderful! She kept the tour entertaining, was very knowledgeable and we would take a tour she was leading again anytime.

Good views but very strenuous activity. Our guide was patient and made sure we moved around safely. Unique experience!
William_K, May 2026
It was excellent! The guide was very knowledgeable. He was very organized in keeping everyone together.
Sheri_S, May 2026
Our tour guide, Eddie, was fantastic! Knowledgable, funny and helpful. It was madness out on the Piazza that day due to a concert, but Eddie was brilliant in helping our group navigate.
PatriciaA_P, May 2026
This is a terrific tour. Our tour guide was excellent, (As with all of our tours in Italy, the earbuds could work better… For the money we spend it should be flawless in this day and age). Climbing to the rooftops was fabulous, looking down on the Piazza and Milan‘s landscape was unbeatable. Inside the Domo was also amazing, glad we saw it. I would recommend this tour to anyone. (anyone that can walk and climb stairs, it is not for anyone that has trouble with heights or walking upstairs.).
Thomas_G, May 2026
This was a wonderful experience, our guide Marta was outstanding and shared great information with a fine sense of humor throughout. I highly recommend this tour!
John_F, May 2026
The Duomo was spectacular, this gave us an up close view of the inside as well as the rooftop with incredible views of the countless works of art and the city skyline! This is a must do for anyone visiting Milan. Our tour guide (sorry, i forgot her name) was authentic, extremely knowledgeable and over the top funny!
James_C, May 2026
The beginning of the experience was bad. Totally disorganized. The weather was cold and rainy. Of course this is not the fault of the tour operator but due to their disorganization we stood out in the cold and rain for more than 30 minutes. We could see the guide was frustrated too. Unfortunately, this made for a very rough start. The guide was rushing which meant he started walking and our devices weren't working and then he would walk ahead to try to make up for lost time. It did improve as the second half of the tour progressed but the damage was done and most of the group was rather unhappy. In the end it wasnt the worst tour experience ever but it was not enjoyable. The rain had a dampening effect for sure but the tour was sub par. The guide was knowledgable but that wasn't enough to get past 3 stars. I think I would have given it 2.5 if their were half star ratings.
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear James,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely appreciate your honesty, as it helps us understand where we can improve, especially when operating under challenging weather conditions.
We are truly sorry that you had to wait in the cold and rain. To ensure everything runs smoothly, our policy states that the meeting time is always scheduled 15 minutes before the actual departure. This buffer is essential to check in all guests, distribute audio equipment, and ensure the tour can start exactly on time. Our tours must depart punctually because we operate on strict, non-negotiable entry time slots managed by the venue. While we appreciate guests being enthusiastic, arriving earlier than the designated meeting time is a personal choice, and our staff begins the check-in process at the official scheduled time.
Regarding the audio equipment, we always conduct a thorough sound check at the very beginning of the experience. Our guides are trained to immediately replace any device that is not working correctly, provided the issue is brought to their attention at that moment.
We are glad to hear that the guide's extensive knowledge showed through and that the second half of the tour improved significantly. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on a clearer day to provide the seamless experience we always strive to deliver.
Best regards,
Davide

The tour operator sent us a WhatsApp the night before our tour was supposed to happen and told us there would be an earlier start of 30 minutes. We did not get the message until the day of the tou r and we arrived on time to find nobody there. Despite multiple phone calls and emails to the tour operator, they escorted us up to the Duomo, but we did not get our tour and they did not give us any refund. We do not check WhatsApp I regularly and they did not even try to call us when we did not reply that we got their message on WhatsApp. We’ve always had a tour operator call if there is any update on the tour.Don’t recommend.m this tour..
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear KImberly,
Thank you for your feedback. We always strive to provide a seamless experience for our guests, and we would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding your tour to ensure an accurate account of what occurred.
First, we would like to clarify that the tour start time was adjusted by only 15 minutes, not 30. This minor adjustment was necessary due to an last-minute early entry slot communicated to us.
However, regardless of this update, your original booking explicitly stated a meeting time of 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM departure. According to our records, we received a WhatsApp message from you at 9:57 AM stating: "Hello, I’m sorry we are running five minutes late for the dual motor tour however we are on our way!"
By your own admission, you were running late and did not arrive at the meeting point by the required 9:45 AM arrival time, nor did you arrive by the original 10:00 AM start time. Because our tours operate on strict entry time slots managed by the Duomo, the group had to proceed so as not to forfeit entry for all other paying guests.
Despite your late arrival, our team did not abandon you; we actively assisted you and escorted you up to the Duomo so you would not lose your tickets entirely.
Best regards,
Davide

The guide was amazing and very informative! We learned so much! It was a bit rainy that day but she made it entertaining and fun!!
ANDRES_P, May 2026
The entrance is without lines directly to the elevator that takes you to the top of the terrace.
You have to climb around 90 extra steps to the top of the last terrace.
After that you have to take the stairs down to the church where the visit continues.
donoth_p, May 2026
Beautiful church. Definitely do the roof top. Although there are quite a lot of stairs great views from the roof
