Exceeded all expectations

Small groups and a tour off the beaten path. These promises sound great, but we experienced what that actually means on the tour: In the evening, we were the last group in a secluded bay. While everyone else had to head back already, we were able to observe the monkeys in peace, which you otherwise so rarely get to see. The next morning, we were all alone on a small beach, even before the day-trip boats stop there at noon. If you are looking for a party boat, you are in the wrong place. Here, the nature of these beautiful bays is the focus.

Luca was our tour guide...

Luca was our tour guide and he was very kind and helpful. He not only gave insight into the places we were going to, he told us about himself and his family which made the experience more personable. The people on board were great. I easily made friends as a solo traveler. The lunch buffet was delicious too. Would have appreciated free waters on board. That’s my only complaint. Would definitely recommend this experience.

The guide James made this tour truly amazing. Hes not only extremely knowledgeable on vietnam's history, but also quite hilarious. Not only were the excursions informative, they were perfectly spaced out and struck an amazing balance of physical activity, learning, and fun. I came solo and left with several new friends. We went on a four hour...

We went on a four hour tour of Hanoi with Bee and we had a great time! She showed up on time at our hotel with one other couple so the group was small enough to feel like a private tour. Bee pointed out all the major sightseeing spots as we drove by them. We also stopped at back alleys and ordinary communities as she gave good history and neighborhood descriptions. We went to Ga Long Bien Bridge and Station and the Train Street with perfect timing so that we saw the trains passing without much wait, and the jeep was waiting for us right when we were done. One drink at the Train Street and food/coffee tasting at a back alley restaurant were included, and they all tasted great. Bee was very personable and gave honest responses for all our questions. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this tour!

An Unexpected Pleasure

The best thing about this tour is the fact that it can be adjusted on the fly based on time, traffic and anything else that can and will crop up. Like our ship being delayed over an hour by immigrations. We already altered the tour by a bit before it even started because our time in port was not as long as first expected. Then this. Communication between us and Brian was above and beyond. He sent pictures of exactly where he would be waiting and we let him know once we were able to get off the ship. To be honest, when I booked this, I had no idea I had booked a PRIVATE, as in just the two of us, tour. We had a driver who knew his stuff and we got to see a lot of what we originally planned. Just experiencing life on the city streets was as good as the tour itself. He took us to a hole in the wall noodle house that I may have passed up, had I been alone. The lunch was fantastic. The atmosphere was as local as it gets. I think we were the only "tourists" there, LOL. As I was walking out, I saw the wall with the 4x Michelin Guide awards 2023 to 2026. WOW! I can't really say anything specific about what we saw because your tour might be different from ours. This I will say. I am grateful beyond words that Tran Haung Phuc (Brian) was our guide. I found out later that we had so much of an advantage over the organised bus tours, talking with some of our ship mates. You won't be disappointed. If you have the full 10 hours to do this tour, you'll be trying to find things to see, LOL. We had about 5 and made it work.
