Great Hike day trip from Rovaniemi

This was an excellent tour. We went in early April and the waterfalls were still frozen. The going could be a bit icy and slippery but it was worth it. We were picked up from our hotel at 825am as part of a small group. We were at the office at 9am and fitted for overalls and crampons. It was about 90 minutes drive to the park. The hike was about 3 miles, a lot of hills up and down, but very good. The scenery was beautiful and the guide knowledgeable. About 4/5 of the way through the hike we stopped to grill hot dogs at a fun barbecue spot. We were back at our hotel around 430pm.

Tiring day but worth the effort

Was sceptical about booking this tour as it's a 50-50 chance but saw the reviews and went ahead with it anyways. I badly wanted to see the Northern Lights and of course capture a photo in person. Glad it all came true. Paul and SK were amazing throughout the tour and the bus driver too. Took all the effort to take us to Sweden as Finland was cloudy and we saw the Northern Lights exactly as advertised. Could only get the green aura but then can't ask for more after 4 hours of travel and hunting. Gave us hot coffee in the office initially and then took the perfect pictures for our social medias. Paul and SK were very enthusiastic and took multiple photos of everyone to feel better. It was the perfect tour and happy it all came down so well. Would recommend you all to book the tour as even though it says it's chancy, rest assured, it's a 90% chance of being successful as the tour group goes all in and takes every effort to make it come true. Our snowmobile experience today was amazing, one of the best things I've ever done in my life! Our guide Nacho was so passionate, professional and helpful. His instructions were clear and we felt confident once we started. Our seven year old son was transported in a heated pod by Nacho which was awesome for him. A must try experience!

The ride was awesome and our guide was also very helpful. I only wish I knew ahead of time the sled allows for both an adult and my 6 year old to ride at the same time, as I thought my wife and I would have to drive separates sleds. Slightly tricky to find the pickup location without a photo, but our guide and other travelers were patiently waiting for us for a few minutes.

Highlight of my trip!

Loved this excursion! The meeting spot was easy to find. Our driver/guide was friendly and helpful. The reindeer park was very authentic and our guide there was genuine and experienced. The husky ride was a bit commercial but was such a cool experience regardless. The whole tour just the right amount of time, and not too strenuous. It was a small group size (there were 5 of us) so it felt more personal.

Excellent setup. Efficient and well organized. Very fast and challenging too! Wife and small kids came along to watch and had marshmallows by fire with great people that work there. One tip. Non-participants just get a bolt (scandi uber) to the place rather than pay 15 euro for a spectator spot on the bus. Otherwise whole thing always great!!

A fantastic experience! Matyas was on time to collect us from our accommodation in excellent transportation. We were greeted with a chocolate which was nice. Was a short journey to Santa Claus village from where we were staying. We got to meet Santa and purchased photos and videos aswell as bits in the gift shop. We wrote a letter to Santa and posted it and sent a gift card home! We loved meeting the husky’s and the husky ride was amazing! Exhilarating! The reindeer ride was amazing too but much more peaceful and chilled! Really appreciated Matyus he was friendly thoughtful and knowledgeable and we got everything we wanted to done on this trip!
