Fantastic experience from...

Fantastic experience from beginning to finish, from waterfalls to zip lining to cliff jumping to real coffee and parrots the experience is one of a kind. Chocolate (tour guide) was great and was very informative and fun! The rest of the team takes great care of you and tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend for price and quality!

This tour was amazing in large part due to our guide Diomi! He was prompt, informative, friendly, and all around fun to be with! You definitely got a feel of what it’s like to live in the working part of the Dominican. The Rum tour was great and of course tasty! The little shops we went into were also amazing! Diomi made sure we were always within his sights and we felt welcomed! There were 7 people in our group and we all loved it! The pictures Diomi took of us and sent to us were amazing! Definitely a must do tour!!❤️

Perfect day!

It is 35 minute hike to the falls but once you get there, water is wonderful. You should definitely be in shape for this activity! We spent $50 for our own photographer so plan for that because the pics were amazing. Afterwards we had a beautiful local lunch that we loved and were able to purchase some local ice cold beers!

Challenging and Fun

It is not for the weak! it wasnt rushed but I wouldn't recommend for those with major health problems or blood thinners. Otherwise it was fun! We didn't have to worry about bugs, the scenery was mentally relaxing, the topography physically challenging, the waterfalls refreshing! We took our 6 year old who was a little apprehensive at first but did have a good time! I'd take a bottle of water and comfortable water shoes! They give you one bottle but it was not enough. Travel to and from was fine and return to the ship was in plenty of time.

Best Teen Birthday Ever

Such an amazing day with such a great guide! Tamares made our day extra special by letting the folks at Monkey Home know it was my daughter's birthday. She got to hang with monkeys, turtles, guinea pigs, a donkey - and her favorite animal in the world, a capybara. Tamares then took us to the city for some photos with the pink street, umbrella street, and independence park. My family thought we were crazy for booking an excursion outside of the cruise as a mother and teen daughter. But I can attest that the other reviews are right - Tamares is an excellent guide and we felt totally safe during our time in the DR.

Great value!

Andy was our tour guide. Because we were the only persons on the tour, he personalized it for us by stopping at the places we wanted to see and skipped those spots we didn't care to see. This gave us more time at the desired locations. Andy was personable, tried hard to answer our questions even if it meant translating from Spanish to English. 5 stars if not more!

Hits the high points!

Misael, aka Max, was a great tour guide. He arrived at the prearranged pick up point right on time and was friendly, outgoing and had lots of information to share with our group. He had a cooler full of cold water to share. The Van comfortably fit our party of six and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the sites of Puerto Plata and the beach where we ended our excursion was lovely.

We loved this excursion! The Team was amazing and very accomodating!!! It was such a fun experience going through the roads, jungle, rivers and beach! Loved the stop with the locals to learn about their cigar making, coffee and cacao. We will definitely come back again with Degen Buggy and the Team! Communication was amazing from the time we booked before cruising until we were done!!! Thank you Lotta!!!! This entire experience was way more than we expected!!! PS - They take photos for you that you can purchase and it may also include videos!!! Well worth the cost ($55.00) for over 250 pics/videos!!!

Amazing experience! DR Prime tours was amazing!!!! Would do again and highly recommend! Long walk to van from port but other than that no complaints. Lunch was good.i guess one other complaint was at plantation the pressure to buy jewelry was ridiculous, gave me anxiety! Couldn’t look in store without guy following me everywhere in the store wanting to sell to me.

Absolutely amazing. We started with the monkeys and ended at the falls. If you’re not up for a challenge and don’t want to walk/hike, sit this one out! It’s a difficult climb to the top. However, our driver, guide, and photographer were amazing. My son and I, had an absolute blast! I’d for sure do it again!

Book this! You won’t regret it

This was the best experience ever! The guides were awesome! We got picked up outside cruise port so it was a bit of walk but worth it. They provided lockers for your things. They will get wet and muddy ALL OF IT WILL. Bring water shoes, cash and phones for photos. Leave the rest. Goggles are an extra $5. You make a couple of stops. First one they give you some island education and samples of tea, mamajuna, and fruit from the island. There are shops and drinks for purchase here as well. A bit pricey. But remember this is how they make a living. The second stop is at beach where I ran like crazy to jump in. Water was beautiful. There’s food and drinks for purchase here. The food is fantastic as always. Mofungo, ceviche, fresh fish. I will definitely do this again when I go back!

Great time!!

Great adventure to see areas you never see. There are not a lot of times where you go full throttle in the biggie, but several times to get wet. Visiting the native town was a great experience and the beach was a nice way to end the day. Staff was amazing. They were informative and attentive the whole time. I am a taller guy, they refused to let me stay crammed in the buggy and brought a bigger one out for us to use to make it more enjoyable.
