Amazing! A must do!
This experience was phenomenal! This was the best part of my trip to DR. I was in a group of 14 people so there were some hiccups with picking everyone up but once we all were settled onto the bus, it was smooth sailing from there. The boat staff were very nice and funny, the food was great, drinks were flowing non stop, and the boat was bigger than I thought. It held my party of 14 plus others and we all had space. It was definitely one big pool party in the ocean😂would definitely do again!

Incredibly organized and so much fun!
I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone (with average or better fitness levels).
Communication was clear and reassuring. I had questions after booking and used the messaging system through viator. The company replied within minutes. The night before, we were also texted instructions for the next day. We got off the cruise ship and walked exactly where he told us to meet him (about a 10 min. brisk walk - not a lot of shade). We met our guide and driver and were off in a private, clean van. We were given tons of information about the area on the way to the falls and what to expect once we arrived. It was all very reassuring as I was a little stressed about the unknown. We were able to leave everything in the van which was kept locked and watched by the driver. We were added to another group - given helmets, life jackets, and a bottle of water and we were off. The hike had a lot of stairs and uneven ground. We wore harder soled water shoes and still could feel all the pebbles and rocks, but once we got to the water they were nice because they had drainage holes. They do stop and provide a couple breaks along the way. I'd like to think I'm in pretty good shape, but my cardio is lacking and that was very evident on this hike. But I'd still 100% recommend it. Once you get to the water, it is so refreshing and unlike anything I've ever had the opportunity to do. We only got to slide/jump into 7 falls. Most of them you have to slide into, but for the last 2 you have the option to jump (it's super high) or slide, or go down a ladder. I wear glasses (I'm pretty lind without them), so i wore them for the hike, but once I started sliding and jumping, iur guide said I had to give him my glasses for safety. He stored them in a water safe bag along with peoples' phones/watches, etc. We didn't get the picture package, but another group did and they stopped for a lot of pictures and videos at each stage. Afterwards lunch was included and it's right at the gate of the falls - a little buffet. Food was got and good and there was a good variety. Afterwards we went to a little place to learn about all the things they grow, how they make coffee and chocolate from plant to product. We saw a cigar making demonstration and tasted the manajuana drink. From there we were taken right back to where we were picked up and made the 10 min walk back to the ship (with way more shade). This tour was highly organized, informative, so much fun, and a great mini introduction to Puerto Plata. I will 100% book with this company again.

Gerson the Great!
Gerson was a fantastic guide! He was knowledgeable, very interactive with our family of four, and an overall exceptional person for us to spend time with enjoying the culture, sites, and kindness of Puerto Plata. He was so accommodating to us…he picked us up from the Air bnb where we were staying even though the address location wasn’t initially on the pick up and drop off. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

I’m practically writing...
I’m practically writing this review almost a year after my trip, but I will forever remember this experience so I have no problem recollecting my thoughts now!
The vibes, hosts & people on the catamaran were 10/10. We also appreciated the transportation to & from our hotel :)

Great Mountain/City Experience
Our Puerto Plata City Tour with Mountain Views was one of the highlights of our cruise! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The drive up the mountain was filled with tropical plants, colorful flowers, and incredible views that made the trip worthwhile even before reaching the top. Once we arrived we enjoyed the views of the city and shores below which provided some of our favorite photos from the day.
What made this excursion exceptional was our guide, Juan Carlos. He spoke excellent English, making it easy to understand everything he shared. His knowledge of Puerto Plata, its history, culture, and daily life was impressive, and he answered every question with enthusiasm and detail.
Juan Carlos went above and beyond to personalize the tour. As we talked throughout the day, he learned what interested us and made a point to show us additional places and point out things that matched those interests. It never felt like a scripted tour—it felt like exploring Puerto Plata with a knowledgeable local who genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience.
I highly recommend this excursion. Be sure to ask for Juan Carlos if you have the chance—you won't be disappointed!

So worth it, highly recommend!!!
Amazing experience from start to finish! My boyfriend and I absolutely loved it. We stopped in Puerto Plata on our cruise and Javier and his team were very timely. We actually got to the meeting spot 15 minutes early at 8:45am and Sol was already there and found us before we found her. We also met up with the photographer Germán on the way to the car and then Javier drove us to the falls--if it is your first experience on Dominican roads hold on tight LOL.
Once at the entrance to the waterfalls national park, only Germán continued with us as well as two guides who worked at the park (Flacko Mambo and Alexis--if you get the chance to have them as your guides you will be in great hands). The hike up to the waterfalls is a bit long but we enjoy hiking so it wasn't too bad at all, they will keep telling you it is only 5 more Dominican minutes haha! We loved the waterfalls and it was such a fun and cool experience, definitely wear good water shoes with a rubber sole because it will be rocky.
After the waterfalls they took us to a buffet lunch which was so delicious. Germán came around after we finished eating to ask if we wanted to buy the photos/videos he took of us and it was $60 for the two of us (not sure if pricing is different for solo travelers or families) and he accepted payment in multiple ways. We paid via paypal and he also helped us connect to the wifi since we didn't have data lol.
I would definitely recommend getting the photos that they take of you since we didn't bring our phones and it really isn't recommended to take any of your valuables with you (you can keep them in the car). We did have our phones in waterproof cases but opted to leave them in the car and are so glad we did because one guy at the waterfalls with a different tour group lost his phone in the water after it broke off the lanyard. HUGE shout out to our guide Alexis though because he dived under and was able to find it but you might not be so lucky if it happens to you (someone in our group lost their apple watch, rip). In case you forget to take something off though, our guide Flacko had a waterproof bag you could put your stuff in before we reached the waterfalls so that was also nice.
After lunch we were driven back and at the port by 1pm with more than enough time to spare before our all-aboard time. All in all, the experience was super active and fun, the included lunch was delicious and filling, and the cost of the tour + photos + tips we gave still cost us less than if we booked the excursion with our cruise so we are very happy about that. Javier and Sol were great, and we especially loved talking with our photographer Germán on the hike back. Oh I forgot to mention on the hike back as well, Alexis picked a ripe cacao pod and cracked it open for us to taste the fruit inside so that was also a fun first experience too!
Thank you guys so much for giving us such a great experience!!!

Awesome time on the party boat
Don't come on this adventure if you don't like to drink and party because your glass will never be empty and the tunes won't stop. Nah but seriously its fun if you don't like to do that either.
Took us to two spots for some snorkeling. The BBQ on board was legit from ribs to chicken wings.
Would do it again!!

Memorable and Accommodating Tour!
Milton was fantastic! He was very accommodating and knowledgeable to the places and things we state we were interested in. Went to a few touristy areas including central downtown, chocolate factory and Macorix Rum factory but really enjoyed where all the locals go to eat and live their daily life in Maimon! Highly recommend to anyone looking to customize your trip while here to really enjoy a city you’re not familiar with. Ask for Milton!

Fun, and satisfying tour
Our guide, Jose, was wonderful. He was very informative, open to questions and very funny. We were able to tour multiple areas on the island, and got some amazing photos. Oh, and by the way the food was great and there was plenty of it.. We would most assuredly do this one again.

Best boutique cigars you will find
If you like cigars or want to buy cigars as a gift for someone who does, then this is the place to come. We had a factory tour and the owner, Austin passionately explained the whole process from beginning to end to us. He took two hours out of his day to spend with us and make sure we were happy. The cigars are the best I’ve tried (better than most of the well known Cubans out there). They have a range to suit most tastes and they are all hand rolled with meticulous attention to detail. Would recommend to anyone.
Thank you for an amazing experience Austin!

Fun day
The experience was fun. The ride was on time, was greeted by the tour guide, who was friendly from the start. Picked up a few guest before we arrived to the destination. Upon arrival we were greeted by the handler(s). Everyone was personal and made the experience one to remember.

Beautiful sights and expert care!
This excursion was exactly what we hoped for. We got to see some of the major sights of the city, and got to sample rum, chocolate, and cigars which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately the cable car was under renovation so we were unable to do that, but Jose made sure we were well taken care of and drove us around the city like a pro. We would definitely recommend him and this private tour.
