Waiting 6 months for Hike

I booked this tour for the hike alone. I enjoyed Pompeii, and Robertta did an amazing job. She is the sweetest, and I feel like we got to see and experience more of Pompeii with her than if we had gone on our own! The hike was interesting. I wish we had a little more time there personally. I enjoyed being at the top and meeting different people.

As with the other two tours we took, there is a lot of walking involved and it is quite difficult if you are older or have issues with uneven terrain or going uphill or stairs.. The scenery is this part of Italy is just beautiful, and the ride is worth the trip, but be advised about trying to do too much if you are older

Vincenzo was the best tour guide in Italy! Capri was amazing, blue grotto CLOSED due to high waves, be aware if you are booking this just for blue grotto it may be closed in Oct 2026 due to waves. Vincenzo led a boat tour around the island of capri as an alternative which was phenomenal. The boat does enter a grotto and you will see the blue grotto up close. Overall the tour was amazing, and guide was even better. 5/5

Best choice!!

I’m so glad I picked this! Mary was amazing and our driver Robert was great too. She is VERY knowledgeable and her English was perfect and easy to understand. Unfortunately due to the rain the day before, the route was closed so between taking a new route and traffic, which was completely out of anyone’s control, we didn’t get as much time at the last stop but Mary made sure she gave us all the highlights and facts before we had to leave. 1000% recommend this. Everyone else on our cruise couldn’t believe we were able to get all three stops in.

Viator is always great!

My 6th Viator tour, the guides never disappoint. Always very knowledgeable. I had Cheto (sp?) this time. Awesome. Good mix of areas visited for a quick tour, but if you want to really explore, you may want to pick a longer visit. Well worth the cost. 1 piece of advice (not part of tour) beware of the patio restaurant at the entrance to Pompeii, they tried to add items to my bill and were not nice about taking off.

This was an amazing tour. Our guide, Mario, was the absolute best. The tour was loaded with amazing street food. Definitely show up hungry. There's no shortage of delicious foods on this tour. We loved every minute of it, learning a bit about Naples and diving into the street food. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone traveling to Naples!

Wonderful Tour

We had an amazing time! Mimmo, our driver, and Chiara, our guide were both wonderful! Chiara is fun, knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour was excellent. The towns we visited are beautiful and we got to enjoy an extra special boat tour along the Amalfi coast at a minimal cost. My husband and I enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it.

2 Great Sites - 1 Fantastic Day!!!!!

Getting to visit Vesuvius and one of the archeological Pompeii sites in 1 day, and not having to worry about traffic, tickets, or what am I looking at both sites was fantastic. Mario, tour guide, was fabulous. He provided great information, not only about Vesuvius, but also about the geological features that make up the greater Naples area. He paced the narrative so it wasn't information overload. Be ready for a moderate incline hike on uneven ground at Vesuvius. The elevation gain is 570ft over 1.24 miles. Really good workout. The audio guide was good and views fantastic. Since you're going up in elevation, depending on weather, it will be hotter or cooler on the trail and at the rim. It was quite breezy at the start, and overcast. However, clouds broke up, breeze stopped and it was warm at rim. Do pace yourself, however don't pause to long on the trail as you have about 90 minutes. It was then off to lunch, which is on your own. 1 hour for lunch. There's usual street food and touristy restaurants in one direction and a good restaurant in the other "Varnelli" and if you tell them your with Askos tour, they'll get you out in an hour. It was enough time for Seafood Risotto and Seared Octopus starter, great tasting! Then it's off to the archeological Pompeii site. Having an archeological tour guide was fantastic as was the provided radio airbuds. Didn't have to worry about not hearing. Alfredo was fantastic, he took the time to answer everyone's question, explain not only the history, but also nuanced items: lead pipes used for water, why beds so small 🫣, graffiti corner🤭, etc.. He set an easy pace. Would definitely recommend this tour if you want to maximize your time and not have to worry about logistics.
