Zoo
Allow plenty of time. Don’t linger too long looking at each animal. Plenty of places to eat away from attraction.

Zoo accessible and informative
If you have mobility difficulties, The zoo has a couple of electric scooters to hire cost £20 per day, pathways are very accessible, animals are well looked after and it was wonderful to see them close up. Lots of information about the animals in various formats

London Zoo: A Day Full of Surprises
Visited on a cold, grey April day and honestly it exceeded expectations. The star of the show is absolutely Land of the Lions, the proximity to the animals through the glass is unlike anything I've experienced at a zoo. You're literally face to face with a lion with just a pane of glass between you. The Indian street setup makes it genuinely immersive, not just another enclosure. The Reptile House was a hidden gem, dark, atmospheric and the animals are always visible up close. The Titicaca frog alone is worth a visit. The Butterfly Paradise is best visited later in the day. I went twice and the second visit was completely different, managed to photograph some stunning species up close. Penguin Beach delivered a fantastic talk and the Bugs exhibit with the spider webs up close was unexpectedly brilliant. Cold days mean some animals stay inside, but the smaller enclosed exhibits actually shine more. The zoo is compact enough to do everything in one day if you plan your talks around the app schedule.
