Busy places but a smooth tour

Fiona was probably the most communicative tour guide I have ever had. I really liked the approach of using a WhatsApp group to share live updates and her location. It made navigating the heavily trafficked destinations a lot more manageable. I also liked the information she gave us about Nara & shrine etiquette. Very useful. And again, she shared information in our WhatsApp group for reference later.

A highlight to our trip to Kyoto!

We really enjoyed ourselves! The staff did a great job and were very engaged with the crowd. The ability to use the app to order drinks and food that came directly to the table was great and allowed us to focus on just being there. The food and service were on point. The young woman who facilitated the event along with the wresters did a fantastic job demonstrating the history and fundamentals of this tradition. Speaking to that point, the Geisha demonstration only added to the level of enjoyment. We loved how they took care of us and made this a spot recommending. Great food and Liz was a lovely guide

We had a great night with Liz our guide. She took us to three restaurants and a dessert place and had food we would never had ordered and it was delicious. We also had a drink at each place either non alcoholic or alcoholic which ever your preference. She was very knowledgeable about the food and area and kept our group of 12 together well. Everyone on the trip were so friendly and it was a lovely evening walking around Kyoto see areas we probably would not have seen if we hadn’t joined the trip. A great way of meeting other people on holiday and make memories:) Thanks Liz for the memorable food and night:)

An excellent way to tour Kyoto's best sights

It's a full day with lots of short transfers between areas of Kyoto BUT you get exactly what it says on the tin! It was thoroughly enjoyable and having a private guide meant we could ask lots of questions and get to understand more about Japan. Our guide was Tammy who had excellent English and was happy to discuss many different aspects of the tour. Be prepared to jump on buses, into taxis and to board trains with the advantage that you spend more time at the destination and get to almost all of the major sights. But note that the client is required to pay the various fares (generally inexpensive, even taxis are cheap). Tammy was easy to find at the station for the start of the tour and we ended up in Gion which is a gentle walk back into the city centre. It was obvious that we had covered more in one day than most of the other tours, mainly because there was just 2 of us and our guide. We agreed that this was an excellent way to experience Kyoto.

This activity was really fun! We started with a metel bar, and the we turned it into a knife. We started with coal to heat it up, and used a hammer to shape it. After that, we sharpened the knife by using a sand machine. In the end we got a handel to put it on and how to maintain it. Great people helping us the whole way!!😃👍

Impressive tour

It's an amazing tour! We got all including tour except for lunch. An agent met us at Osaka train station, very easy to find, accompanied us to the train and our full day guide Joe met us after exiting the train station in Hiroshima. The smart part of the trip was that we first went to Miyajima Island by ferry to see Torii ref gate in the water because later the water goes away and the gate will be on the sand. Unless you wanna go to restaurants and see night view, the gate shrine is definitely more impressive during the day. Lunch on the island is amazing because it's known for large pacific oysters and lots of clean restaurants and street food. We had over 2 hour free time to go around shop and eat. Later we went to Hiroshima for history

Beautiful Tea Ceremony in Kyoto

Tucked into a quiet courtyard on a busy Kyoto street, is this perfect tea room. It can be a bit hard to find, so leave a bit of extra time. It is 100% worth the effort to find it. This was such a worthwhile experience, first our host gave us an introduction to the history of the tea cermony and explained what would happen. Then we participated in a tea ceremony and finally we made our our matcha tea. It's just an hour long, but it was the perfect length of time and perfect calm moment in the middle of a busy day!

One of the absolute highlights of my 10-day Japan trip!

I had an incredible experience on the Hiroshima and Miyajima Island tour, and I can genuinely say it was arguably the best part of my entire 10-day trip around Japan. Everything was extremely well coordinated from start to finish, which made it so easy to simply enjoy the experience and take in these remarkable places without having to worry about the logistics. A very special mention and huge thank you has to go to our wonderful guide, Azusa or “Arizona, USA” as she jokingly called herself! 😂 She was absolutely brilliant throughout the day. Despite the stifling summer heat, she remained energetic, funny, engaging and incredibly helpful. Her communication was excellent, her explanations were very interesting, and she created such a friendly atmosphere for the entire group. What impressed me most were the little things that went beyond what you would normally expect from a tour guide. At the end of the day, Azusa even went out of her way to help change my ticket so I could catch an earlier train back to Kyoto. She certainly didn't have to do that, but she did and those small acts of kindness and genuine care are exactly what make a travel experience so memorable. Hiroshima and Miyajima themselves were unforgettable, but having such a well organised tour and such a fantastic guide made the experience even more special. Thank you, Azusa, and the entire team for one of my favourite memories from Japan. I would recommend this tour without hesitation. Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
