All Kobe Tours & Excursions in 2026

I booked this trip a few days in advance and I was very pleased to hear that I was the only participant and they were willing to go ahead with the tour. My guide was the wonderful Lucy (Ikuko). Her English was execellent and she was a delight! Bubbly, fun and a wonderful person. She had great knowledge of her home town. The tour was a great mix of local sites and gave a general overview of Kobe with interesting and beautiful places to see - and some I revisted in the preceeding days. The Herb Garden was stunning! I would not hestitate to recommend this tour!

Rather than rushing to see multiple tourist sites through taxi’s, we opted to customize a tour that utilized public transportation and short walk through neighborhoods in Kyoto. We visited Fushimi Inari Taisha, then sanzyusangen-so, experienced Kyoto noodle, then walked through the old geisha district and finally Gion. We then concluded with shopping on then street past Gion. It was a really nice visit that gave us a local flavor. The tour guide was wonderful and communicated in advance so that we can customize the tour to our liking!

This was the perfect Kyoto tour for our family (two older kids). LJ was the absolute best guide. He explained things along the way and made sure we could have memorable photos to go along with our trip. Our kids haven’t stopped raving about him and the tour which never happens! This is a must do for Kyoto

We had a fantastic time in Osaka & Kyoto with Marin. It was a full on day, but we managed to visit Arashiyama, Bamboo Forest, the Golden temple & Kyoto, including the old town & ‘no nails’ temple. Our favourite day in Japan by far. Definitely recommend this tour!

Great visit to Kyoto. Our driver and our guide YUKA were wonderful. YUKA did everything to tailor the tour to our interests, including responding to a special request, while providing excellent information. Pre tour communications were very timely and responsive. We would highly recommend touring with YUKA.

Michelle was an amazing tour guide during our stop in Kobe. Since it was our first time there and we had limited time at port, we really appreciated how much she was able to show us in such a short amount of time. We did a walking tour that also included riding the subway, which gave us a great feel for the city and how locals get around. Michelle made everything easy and stress-free while still fitting so much into our day. She introduced us to local candies, Kobe beef, and ice cream, all of which were amazing and made the experience even more memorable. It felt like we were able to experience a great mix of the local culture and food in just a few hours. Michelle was friendly, knowledgeable, and organized, and we are so glad we got to spend our time in Kobe with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone visiting Kobe for the first time!

We are two couples in our 70s. We move kind of slow and our hearing is not the best. We visited on a HAL cruise ship and we knew the large bus tours would be difficult for us, and the private HAL tours were amazingly expensive. Then we found the tours on Viator, which were reasonable. We hoped this would work, and it did! Our guide Aki tailored the tour perfectly for the 4 of us. She navigated us through the numerous subway and train stations - buying us the right tickets and showing us how to use them - and knowing how to walk from the train to the subway and back to the train. And walking slow enough, and using elevators and escalators. We could have never done it alone. We did the Carpentry Museum, the gondola ride to the herb garden and touring some of the garden, a lunch (she found something for the picky eaters in the group), a Shinto Temple, and a Sake tasting. We did everything we possibly could have done in 7 hours in Kobe. And there is no way we could have done half of it without Aki's expert guidance. We learned a bit about Kobe and Japan and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend this experience. Being able to take a break when needed, and having the guide repeat what they said when needed, was just what we needed.

We had the most incredible time! This tour absolutely exceeded expectations and it was all due to our tour guide Reiko! She gave us so much information that we otherwise wouldn’t have known and even printed pamphlets for us to take home with specific details about sake and the fermentation process. She translated live for us during the tour inside of the brewery and made us feel so at ease and comfortable. The Kobe beef lunch was absolutely divine! We loved getting to sit and speak with her more to learn about Japanese culture and ultimately felt like we made a new friend. We truly cherished our time all together and cannot express how perfect this experience was! Thank you Reiko for a wonderful day in Kobe!
