Top Greece Classes & Workshops

This is not a show or a factory tour. It is a rare chance to take part in a hands-on olive oil making workshop using old tools and methods that have almost disappeared. The factory is 130 years old and the process is slow, manual, and personal, just like it was for generations in Crete. Our family will guide you through every step, sharing stories and knowledge passed down over time. Guests leave with a deeper respect for olive oil and Cretan food culture, and with a small bottle of our family’s olive oil as a reminder of the experience.

This is not just a tasting — it's a full olive oil seminar led by a certified sommelier who fell in love with olive oil after moving to Crete and marrying into an olive oil producing family. You'll learn everything: production methods, olive oil categories, how to taste professionally, and how to recognize premium quality from poor quality. You'll taste oils from multiple small Cretan producers, exploring different traditional Cretan varieties — including some of the oldest olive varieties in the entire Mediterranean. You'll also get hands-on, making your own traditional Cretan dakos using fresh local ingredients and premium olive oil. Hidden in a cozy tasting room in Rethymno's Old Town, this intimate experience offers authentic knowledge and personal passion that no group tour can match. Small groups only, ensuring a personal and unforgettable experience. You'll leave with skills and insights about olive oil that will stay with you for life.

Most people visit Corfu for its beaches. Very few get to step into a real everyday life. Welcome to my home. In 2016, I co-founded Swing Academy in Thessaloniki, where I taught swing dancing until 2021. A few years ago I left city life to build an off-grid home surrounded by a food forest. Today more than 100 fruit trees grow here together with herbs, native plants and edible flowers, creating a small but biodiverse ecosystem that seamlessly blends with an outdoor dancefloor. I’m passionate about permaculture, biodiversity and creating simple systems that make everyday life easier. I love introducing dancing to complete beginners as much as I enjoy working with intermediate dancers. My goal isn't just to teach dancing or gardening - it's to meet people, get inspired and inspire people to imagine new possibilities for how we live, learn and connect with nature.
