Top Edinburgh Walking Tours

Very much a walking tour. Covers interesting historical eras. Mark our guide was excellent. We asked questions outside the tour subject/eras and he answered all with great detail. He was flexible with how the walk developed as official visitor to the castle forced changes. Again, he did this without missing a beat

Somewhere between Viator and Merkat Tours, there was a huge mix-up re starting location of the tour. Mutiple confirmations gave a very precise location for the tour starting location but no one was there at the appointed start time. A group of a half-dozen of folks who had signed up were waiting at the specific place ahead of the specific start time. When no one showed up, we started wandering about. We did find a Merkat representative for a different tour across the street. She advised that the tour is supposed to start at the Merkat offices a couple of blocks away. So we trudged over there to find some others in our group who had somehow received the correct starts Ng location. This was a pretty terrible way to begin a tour but the actual tour itself was really interesting and worthwhile, despite less than ideal weather (rainy). Out tour guide Linda was as a terrific storyteller and made history come alive for us.

Terrific tour. We couldn't get tickets directly through the official website. All sold out. So we went with Little Fish Tours. Our guide, Georgia, was exceptional! Her voice was loud and clear, and she had marvelous stories to tell along the way. She made the trip very memorable and a highlight of our time in Edinburgh!!
