Journey north from Fairbanks along the Dalton Highway, one of the most remote and northerly roads accessible by vehicle, to the Arctic Circle. You’ll spend the day moving deeper into Alaska’s far north as forest thins and the landscape opens into wide valleys and tundra. We make several scenic stops at viewpoints for photos and short walks throughout the day, including time at the Arctic Circle sign (66°33′N). On the return, the late-night drive is timed for prime aurora viewing hours, with a chance to see the northern lights. Your guide uses real-time aurora forecasts to choose the best stops and timing. Guests who bring snacks or choose light options will have more time in the hot springs. Relax in the outdoor mineralrich hot springs under open sky surrounded by steam, forest, and stillness. After your soak, we’ll travel to prime Aurora viewing locations to give you the best chance to witness the Northern Lights. While the aurora cannot be guaranteed, your guide will closely monitor conditions and share local knowledge and stories throughout the night. Pick-up is between 4:30–5:30 PM depending on weather. Best Aurora experience in Fairbanks

Elena and Ed were simply amazing, the night when no other tour guide would dare to step out because of the storm, they took us out for an amazing dancing Aurora shows, one of the best night ever, so many amazing photos, we were tired of posing for the photos but they never got tired of clicking it for us. Our tour guide, Michael, was amazing! He constantly checked in on us and even helped us adjust our phone settings to capture the best photos of the Northern Lights. Without his help, we wouldn’t have gotten such beautiful pictures of the Aurora! Everything was smooth and well organized, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The glass house was cozy, and there were games and activities to keep us entertained while we waited for the Aurora to appear. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Michael as your guide!

The most memorable Alaskan experience

So many fantastic things to say about the experience Riley provides. First and foremost, his unwavering fascination for the aurora is contagious. As the tour begins and you start finding the most optimal spot to try and catch the aurora, he does an awesome job of explaining what it actually is, how it forms, what determines the strength, etc. The background knowledge he provides is very extensive, adding to the immersion of the experience as a whole. Riley's also just a really great dude to be around. Super positive and energetic, and is very flexible to work around your schedule that night. He continued the tour as long (or short) as we wanted! I proposed to my girlfriend that night, and could not be happier with the photos he was able to capture for us, aurora in the background! This was for sure the highlight of our trip to Fairbanks, and thanks to Riley, we were able to check the Aurora Borealis off of the bucket list. Our guide was absolutely phenomenal and refused to give up despite a terrible, completely overcast forecast on our final night. Instead of calling it off, they expertly used live satellite data to hunt down a rare clearing in the clouds. Thanks to their relentless effort and expertise, we witnessed a spectacular, fast-moving aurora display when we thought all hope was lost.

Unforgettable trip — even without the aurora!

I traveled solo and joined this tour on September 20, and it was a highlight of my Alaska trip. Our guide, Ron, was wonderful — friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Over the 15-hour journey he shared stories about Alaska's culture, history, and economy, answered everyone's questions, and kept the conversation lively the whole way. We didn't see the aurora due to the weather, but the Dalton Highway scenery was unique and the day was thoroughly enjoyable. Ron even shared his photos with us afterwards. Highly recommended!

What a completely amazing experience. Tabitha is a wonderful person and the view of the Northern Lights was unbeatable. We had a tour scheduled for a Saturday night and on Friday, she gave us a call that the lights were expected to put on a better showing on Friday night. Because of her forethought, we were able to see what was likely the best viewing of the year.
