This is an informative tour that informs you of how the tunnels are formed and what things to look for that are unique to lava tubes vs what we see in more of a limestone cave structure. I found it to be a great tour.
Excellent tour of the cave. The guide was knowledgeable and patient. The visitors at times were extremely rude and talking while she was presenting important information
Great guide! Cave was impressive and tour was worth what we paid. Make sure you have good gripping boots.
Everything is Great! Special experience. We love it. Highly recommend this Lava cave tour. 熔岩特殊的地形,導覽精彩,我們很喜歡這個行程。
It was so wet down there. Be prepared. Definitely need rain jacket and rain pants. Pretty cool to learn about how it was formed.
Totally enjoyed the Lava Cave Tunnel. Our guide was very informative with a sense of humor. We did have to do some walking on uneven surfaces but we were prepared. It was also cool in the cave. At one point, our guide turned off all the lights and we had total darkness. And you cannot see a thing. Great experience.
Cool experience and great tour guides. Easy to navigate and has everything you need for any ages. Would highly recommend.
Amazing experience walking through the lava tunnel and seeing it firsthand. Beautiful and so very interesting
The tour was so neat! We really enjoyed the views and the tour guide. Our tour guide was great and made everyone laugh. The history of these tunnels is so neat. It definitely was worth the experience!
fun and informative, great way to get away from the rain lol. Our guide was nice and the group was small
We didn't know how this experience was going to be great and boy did it not deceive. Our guide had so much knowledge and fun facts, we had a blast!
The staff was very helpful in catering to me since I had just missed my scheduled tour. When I actually did the tour, I found the guide very entertaining and resourceful. I didn't actually love being in the cave with no lights since at one point they turn all the lights off to show you how it would be like alone in a cave. It only lasts for a minute. It's also very cold in the cave so bundle up!
We could not go in the tunnel because it cannot accommodate people with canes. We were told to contact Vator to get a refund.
Our tour guide was hilarious and mixed all the facts in with jokes and stories. We got to experience total darkness, which was surreal. Just make sure to dress warm! It’s constantly in the 30s in the tunnel.
This was a great experience for our family with teens! There were other families with younger children and they also had a good time. This is not a handicap accessible adventure, rocky wet terrain walking down.
The lava caves were super cool. They went very deep and it was stunning. They turned off the lights to experience total darkness which was awesome. MUST DO activity if you are staying near Reykjavik. Our guide Alex was funny and knowledgeable, he made the experience overall incredible.
This was such a cool experience. We did it on the start of our ring road trip. So very cool to learn about lava caves. I have only been in natural caves so this was interesting. And the guide was very kind, funny and informative. The coolest part I would say was when he turned the lights off and we truly were able to experience complete darkness in the cave. Wow!
Awesome tour but it is very rocky and uneven. We traveled with a few older ladies and it was challenging for them. But they still did it, and loved it. Very friendly tour guides.
Our tour guide was fantastic and we really enjoyed the tunnel. It is beautiful and easy excursion. So glad we did this.
It was amazing!! Jona was fantastic and explained so many interesting things
Absolutely worth going !!
This was an amazing tour through a real lava tunnel. The drive was easy out of Reykjavek and the experience was unforgettable.
A bit of a drive out of town but well worth it. We came back through the lava fields which added to the adventure.
This was such a cool and unique experience. I loved it. The guide was very knowledgeable! I would definitely recommend.
This experience was much better than I anticipated. The old lava tunnel was really neat to walk through, and our guide provided a lot of interesting facts along the way. It's so cool to experience the temperature changes, see the result of years and years of ancient lava flow and then be plunged into complete and total darkness towards the end of the tunnel/tour to see just how daunting it would be in a place like that without the use of headlamps or lights. Definitely one to experience if you get the chance!
A little misleading. They say suitable for all, but I found it difficult to navigate the uneven ground and 3 of us stopped half way. The caution they give you AFTER you buy the ticket is more accurate than the original presentation. They do provide trekking poles, which is nice, but also shows they are aware of the difficulties.
Daphne was a knowledgeable and wonderful guide. We absolutely enjoyed this Lava Cave tour--it was fascinating, fun, BEAUTIFUL, and we learned so much! Don't miss it!
It was amazing to see such a beautiful lava tunnel. Our guide Gerard was excellent, he made sure everyone in the group was able to keep up and felt comfortable. He also shared some history and interesting facts with us.
Tour guide and he his knowledgeable narrative in the short 1hrs tour was very good. The lava tunnel with the lights, walking platform, spectacular details inside, the silence mode at the end and preview to the extreme tour were all worth it. 1hrs goes by as it was 15min..
If you are not claustrophobic extreme tour might be life long memory.
Tour is worth every bit of time and $$ spend
It was neat to hear about the history of the tunnel. Our guide was very informative and she made it fun.
Very interesting and our tour guide was very entertaining and informative! They took good care of us and promised to help out when we mistakenly double-booked, which is so appreciated!
