Learn the significance of Runes in the Countryside
Our large group of 11 was picked up at our house, which was very convenient for us. We needed to separate into two vehicles, but the guide was able to connect and talk to both vehicles during the trip. Gabriel had a passion for Runes, Viking & local history. They took us to places you would never see on your own. We were never rushed and always had the opportunity to stop for a WC or snacks. Be prepared for a long day, but it was very educational and enjoyable.

Our guide Anton is funny...
Our guide Anton is funny and informative. The boat is apparently a protected cultural heritage, it comfortably seats about 20 people (about half full at the 5 pm tour). Very pleasant way to spend almost 2 hrs learning about Stockholm/ Sweden while resting your feet :)

Excellent
This was a great overview on the history of Sweden and Stockholm. My tour guide, Sebastian, was very knowledgeable on a large range of subjects. He touched on history, geography, geology, government, people, life, culture, everything. I would highly recommend doing this tour your first morning in the city. That way you can appreciate a lot of the little things you see and experience later on your trip. Plus its an easy intro to the main part of the city and it will inform you on what to focus on with your time. Also if you can, seek out Sebastian. He was a top notch tour guide.

Stunning museum brought to life by a wonderful guide
A must see whilst in Stockholm. The ship itself is simply stunning and the museum provides ample detail of Vasa's history, subsequent emergence and preservation. Our guide, Zoe, brought Vasa to life with her infectious enthusiasm and passion for the subject, resulting in a truly memorable visit. Highly recommended.

Just like the Swedish capital, Stockholm tours combine dynamic city living with nature escapes. Stroll the colorful squares and cobblestone streets of the medieval Old Town, then enjoy the ritual of fika, or a coffee and sweets break, with your local guide. A Baltic Sea archipelago, Stockholm may be even better explored by the water. Take a kayak or boat ride between the islands’ traditional fishing cottages, centuries-old fortresses, and the restored sunken Vasa warship. If you’d prefer to go further off the grid, visit Stockholm’s nearby forests and meadows to hike among Viking runes, boar, and elk.
