This was a great tour of two beautiful towns full of history and wonderful things to explore. Évora is lovely and extremely walkable, the chaple of bones is a must see. Monsaraz was so unique and beautiful. Also walkable but not level ground so can be steep and slippery. Our guide Gui was great and made the tour lots of fun. Highly recommend.

Truly a private experience with a number of activities that give a great sense of Portuguese/Évora culture. The wine tasting portion was amazing. We had Paula as our guide and she was equally as amazing to spend the day with and learn from. Would highly recommend.

Great day… starting with...
Great day… starting with a convenient pickup (and drop) from the hotel; good guide cum driver, well informed and motivated; well paced activity, lots of history for those interested in it and Evora, quite stunning as are many of Portugal’s medieval cities…

Wonderful Tour
Inês and João we fabulous guides-we had the rarw luck of being the only ones on the tour that day and it was like having a walk and talk with two wonderful, knowlegale friends. They showed us sights in Evora we would have completely overlooked without them, and gave us rich context for everything we did see. We left with a deep appreciation of the city's history and it's inhabitants, past and present.

Lisbon
Ancient Roman Temple ruins in the old town of Évora, Portugal.
  • Situated in the central Alentejo region, Evora can be very hot, so plan to wear a hat and sunscreen, if you’re visiting in the summer months.
  • There’s a lot to see in the city, so bank on spending at least half a day here.
  • Keep an eye out for the colorful Azulejo tiles that decorate many buildings in town.
