A very fun and windy excursion!
I really wasn’t going to leave Ireland without seeing the Cliffs of Moher and it was worth it to me! By nature of where they’re located there is a pretty long bus ride, that’s unavoidable, but our tour guide Pavo was really nice and told stories for the ride. I’m really happy we went with the boat tour because it’s adds something special to the day and it was really cool seeing the cliffs from both the bottom and the top. The visit to Inisheer was also really fun. I don’t think we would have done it otherwise, but it was a cute excursion. We rented e-bikes to see the island (beware that was really expensive), but it was fun! There’s not actually too much to do there if you’re not doing some kind of excursion, but you have the option of just walking around. The boat ride is actually the same ferry that takes you to and from the island. You can sit on either side because you get a view of the cliffs either on the way there or on the way back. We sat outside and on the side and definitely got very wet from splashing, so be prepared that that could happen. You can sit in the middle or inside to avoid that. Also note many people got motion sickness. As for seeing the top of the cliffs, it’s not a super long hike up, just pretty steep. The bus takes you most of the way, and on a normal day they have the option to have a golf cart take you the rest of the way. The weather was too windy for us to do that. In fact the wind was actually a little scary the day we went and was knocking people over. That being said, very beautiful views! If I have any advice, please make sure you’re prepared for the weather. I was not and it was my biggest regret because I spent most of the day shivering, especially after I got wet. Still glad I did it! We rolled with the punches and had a good time overall.

Nice day trip!
This review is for those who suffer from anxiety and motion sickness like I do! This was a wonderful trip that stopped every 30-35 mins so you could get off the bus and Explorer. The bus even has a bathroom if you were needing it! You can also email Laddy tours and pay €15 for a front seat. These key things made it 100% easier for me where normally I’m in panic mode. They were super prompt and at the meeting location early. John B our driver was super friendly and welcoming, and made sure to educate us along the journey and also remind people to be prompt which we really appreciated on a large tour! The stop to the castle was really cool to see, next was the caves, which is neat if you want to see them but you can hike up a hill and look at the scenery, there’s also a birds of prey or little shop on premise if you wanted to look at that instead of touring the caves. We did tour the caves, but if we were to go back, we would probably just hike around for the 45 minute allotted of time. And the next was the cliffs of Moher, which was absolutely stunning, but do wish we had probably another half hour there. It did feel a little rushed. We could only do one trail to the right, but that was the most beautiful trail! On the way back we ate at Fitz in Doolin, the food was OK. Nothing spectacular but the story behind the restaurant and why they support. It was really nice. We did do the Atlantic coastal Way route on the way back for anybody who gets Mosian sick. This could be a challenge. It is extremely curvy and massively hilly and there is only one stop, but the stop is gorgeous, but after that, it can be rough. The roads are very narrow, so there is a lot of stopping and go just because you have to pass other cars. Overall, we absolutely love the day but there’s just a few caveats to take into consideration.

One of the best tours to take from Galway
Torch’s was out driver and tour guide for this amazing experience and she was wonderful. This is an all day trip and is so worth it. Kylemore Abbey and the gardens was so beautiful, as was the drive through the mountains and fjord. But the highlight was the Joyce sheepdog farm with lambs and puppies. Then we stoped in Cong to see where the movie The Quiet Man took place. It’s a long day but I can’t recommend this tour enough. And definitely ask for Sorcha. She is a fabulous driver and wonderful tour guide. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Ireland!

Family Trip Highlight
We had such a wonderful day on our private Cliffs of Moher tour with Bogdan. He was funny, informative, kind, accommodating, and never made us feel rushed. Some of our favorite parts were visiting Newtown Castle, the beautiful countryside views, the chocolate, the sheep herding demonstration, the Cliffs of Moher, and all the little coastal stops and drives along the way that we never would have found on our own. We also loved meeting Pablo at the natural spring!🫏 As others have said, the private car tour was completely worth it. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.

Galway is the perfect home base for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and other gems in Western Ireland, but there’s plenty to enjoy in the city itself. Galway tours show you the town’s medieval landmarks, lively Latin Quarter, and locally-loved venues for live Irish folk music. You can even opt for tours spotlighting Galway’s traditional pubs or chilling ghost stories. If you fancy getting out of the city, simply follow a guide to the seaside villages, mountainside castles, and sheep-speckled hiking trails near Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher.
