What are people saying about Galway

It was an entertaining...
It was an entertaining experience, and the scenery was captivating. However, the true highlight was Jerry.
On excursions like this, the scenery is usually the main attraction, while the guide’s narration plays a supporting role. With Jerry, it was the other way around. His storytelling, humor, and narration were so engaging that you could almost experience the scenery through his stories. He didn’t just describe what we were seeing—he brought it to life.

Galway Food Tour
My wife and I truly loved the tasting tour with Katie...we started with a seafood stew at Screene's on the Square and while I do not like fishy foods, this stew was awesome!! We then moved on to Eyre Square and learned some great history about JFK's visit in June of 1963....we then went to the Skeff Bar for food and drink....next was a walk by of the Oscar Wilde/Eduard Vilde statue, Lynch's Castle, St. Nicholas's Collegiate Church, Murphy's Ice Cream and lastly M. Fitzgerald's Bar for Irish Coffee's. The tour was 2.5 hours and worth every dime. Come prepared with either an umbrella or rain jacket and dress accordingly.

Great tour. ...
Great tour.
Amazing tour guide. Very funny, friendly, competent.
Connemara is the place where you'd best sit in a bus to get a good view over the countryside. Driving your own car is good and all, but it' just more enjoyable to be taken to the best places without having your eyes glued on the road.
This has been my second tour through Connemara. You learn something new everytime.
10/10 recommend.

Galway Walking Tour
Jason was our tour guide. He was great! He knows his history and delivers the story effectively incorporating humor into the experience. He has a great memory. He remembered where we were all from and used that to draw us into the conversation by connecting things in history to where people are from around the worlds.

Our tour guide was...
Our tour guide was Alexandria, and she really did an amazing job. Very thorough and humorous stories throughout the walk, and she did a great job keeping a group of various ages engaged and entertained. Highly recommend this tour; we did a LOT of tours on our trip to Ireland, and this was easily a favourite for the four of us. Thanks, Alexandria!

Worth it just to avoid doing the drive
The cliffs are incredible, but frankly I would recommend it to anyone just to have someone else drive you through those long and winding roads! It’s about 1.5 hours there, slightly longer back, and I would not want to drive those roads myself! There are food options on the island you visit as well as at the cliffs near the gift shop. Arrive at the boat at least 20-25 min early on your way to the cliffs to get a descent seat for viewing them.

Great tour guide
Our guide Arthur has a wealth of information to share about Galway and he made history come alive! Instead of us trying to find historical landmarks by ourselves, Arthur led us to cool sites and gave us awesome background info! As a native of Galway, Arthur has great inside info on Galway's history and he made learning fun for our 13 year old son!

Grand Way to See Galway
We opted for the e-bike tour of Galway to stay away from museum and castle tours and to get a taste of what the people of Galway do for recreation. Felix was a great tour guide and kept us entertained with his stories about the history of Galway and its residents. The weather was grand as they say in Ireland. Strongly recommend this tour.

Taste of Traditional and Modern Galway
This is a taste of traditional and modern Galway. Danny, our guide introduced us first to the new coffee culture and amazing bakeries before taking us to a more traditional taste of Galway with a focus on fresh produce, fish, and more. The real treat was learning how new Galway chefs are taking fresh and local ingredients and creating exciting bites for locals and tourists alike. Danny weaved food culture together with the history of Galway.
One important recommendation: take this tour at the beginning of your trip as you will want to go back and revisit some of the places or eat at the many recommendations provided by the tour.

Candela is a very kind,...
Candela is a very kind, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide - she has excellent energy and charisma, with a great sense of humour; she kept the entire group well informed and entertained throughout the two hour tour. As someone with a strong interest in Irish and Celtic mythology and language, Candela was the perfect guide to introduce some of Galway's most important historical spots, wildlife, and stories behind the architecture. In just two hours people on the tour had enjoyable conversations and insights, and I discovered nice areas of the city to visit. Her tours are highly recommended!

Great, relaxed but engaging tour!
Seán was great! He did a good job of getting people involved and was able to answer our questions. It was fun and interactive. A good mix of history and stories about pagan folklore/ ghosts/ etc. For anyone worried about the amount of walking, it’s an easy walk and pace. It’s a quick tour but a very easy and relaxed one.

Galway Walking Food Tour
Gerry was a very knowledgeable, personable, and amazingly fun tour guide! A ton of delicious food and an enjoyable walk through the streets of Galway! My menu choices included the BEST clam/fish chowder; delectable mussels at our 2nd stop; Murphy’s ice cream and then, saving the BEST for last, an unrivaled Irish coffee! I highly recommend this tour if you are coming to Galway! Thank you, Gerry! Teasie & Jim Colla
