We had a wonderful time on the Celtic Boyne Valley and Ancient Sites Day Tour from Dublin. The itinerary was well organized, and each stop was fascinating, offering a great opportunity to learn about Ireland's ancient history, archaeology, and beautiful countryside. The pace was comfortable, with enough time to explore and take photos without feeling rushed. Our guide, Alec, was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. He shared interesting stories and historical background throughout the day, making each site even more meaningful. He was well organized, kept the tour running smoothly, and was happy to answer questions along the way.

What’s up with unprofessional drivers?

The sights were excellent. The driver, however, in a misguided attempt to entertain the passengers, made increasingly inappropriate comments about his past pursuit of women, used foul language, didn’t offer a comfort break on the return trip, pushed his luck by running a light just turning red, played his music very loudly, and in general behaved in a shockingly unprofessional manner. I believe he was eager to get his shift done and wanted to be done with work, treating the drive as he would a drive home in his personal vehicle. For me, the worst part of all this was the foul language used loudly and repeatedly with several young children on board. Why would anyone believe that’s appropriate behavior?

Fantastic Day Trip

This was a fantastic day trip out of Dublin. We were thoroughly impressed with our guide Paul and his knowledge throughout the tour. He had fantastic recommendations for food in Kilkenny and back in Dublin. The highlight of the day was seeing the Wicklow Gap and getting to hold lambs at the farm after watching the sheepdogs herd the sheep!

Pleasant Walking Tour, Learned So Much From Anna!

Our tour was wonderful. We did it on the second day of our trip and it really helped us acclimate to the city, and learn about the culture of Ireland. Anna, our guide, was absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable! Dublin castle is currently closed for special EU business, but Anna made us feel like we didn’t miss a thing. There was so much more to see and learn about around the area. I thought the level of walking was completely normal and pleasant. It was a small group and we got to know a few people who were with us. Overall, a great experience!

Great day trip!

This is a beautiful day trip. The waterfall was breathtaking. Our hike in Glendalough, Wow! The ruins, the lakes, the views, even a few red deer! The sheep dog demo was a lot of fun and very interesting and interactive. You driver/guide Andre was amazing, provided us so much information.

Short tour of Ireland

Really enjoyed the tour. Beautiful scenery. We stopped our tour at Belfast and then spent a few days there. Not a problem with all of our luggage. Our tour guide kept everyone on time. A bit disappointed with Dun Luce Castle. My understanding is that we didn’t have permission to stop on the property.

Paddy wagon all the way!

We had the best tour guide! We can't remember his name but he was amazing! We did 4 tours on our trip and he stood out from all the rest! He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! Now that we know where to see who you're booking through we would definitely do our tours with the paddy wagon again! The bus was clean & roomy. He had no issues of bringing food or drinks on board. He made sure we got to spend as much time as possible at our stops and he treated us to a surprise stop! It was a fantastic day!

Long day but well worth it.

Long day but worth it. The whole trip ran very smoothly thanks to guide Rory and driver Krishna. Rory helped the time fly with plenty of anecdotes and lots of history. All the stops were well worth a visit. We chose the Titanic experience and it turned out to be one of the best interactive museums we've seen. We lost a bit of time due to heavy traffic and unfortunately had a short stop at Conclune castle - could have done with at least another 20 minutes. Also beware the first rest stop - the cafe was expensive and many passengers opted for extras which made it worse.

It is a great deal of fun. Our driver and guide (Murphy) was an absolute delight. He taught us lots of interesting facts and had a wonderful sense of humor. He kept a nice schedule, which most of us followed, making it an enjoyable experience. He also gave us ideas of what we could check out after the tours. He made a point of remembering where we were all from. That was impressive!

Incredible Day Along Ireland's Northern Coast

We booked this tour through Viator and spent an absolutely fantastic day visiting Dunluce Castle, Giant's Causeway, and Belfast with Wild Rover Tours. A huge thank you to our guide and driver, who kept us informed, entertained, and laughing throughout the journey. Their humor, storytelling, and ability to keep a full bus engaged made the long day fly by. What we appreciated most was that they didn't simply provide historical information—they shared practical, insider tips that genuinely improved our experience. Their advice about the best walking paths, viewpoints, hidden corners, timing, and how to make the most of each stop helped us see and experience far more than we would have on our own. One tip was especially valuable. We both have some walking challenges, and our guide made sure we knew about the shuttle bus available at the Giant's Causeway for the return trip back up the hill. That information made a tremendous difference and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about the steep climb back. It was a small detail, but it demonstrated the thoughtfulness and care that made this tour exceptional. Another outstanding recommendation was **The Nook**. Our guide suggested it, and we are so glad he did. What a treasure! The food was delicious, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service excellent. A special shout-out to the chefs and the entire team at The Nook for creating such a wonderful stop during our day. It was one of those unexpected discoveries that makes a trip even more memorable. The Giant's Causeway was breathtaking, and the recommended routes allowed us to fully appreciate both the geological wonder and the spectacular coastal scenery. Dunluce Castle provided stunning views and endless photography opportunities, while Belfast offered a fascinating glimpse into the city's history, culture, and ongoing transformation. We also thoroughly enjoyed the local Belfast guides. Their knowledge, personal perspectives, and ability to explain complex history in a thoughtful and balanced way added tremendous value to the visit. This tour struck the perfect balance between scenery, history, culture, and fun. Every stop felt worthwhile, and the guidance we received made the entire day run smoothly and successfully. Driving through lush Irish countryside

The drive out was interesting, past farms and Irelands 'forty shades of green'. The WiFi on board wasn't working but bus driver and tour guide Declan gave me directions to my next stop, the Emigration museum, so that was nice. Glendalough was a little underwhelming - mostly what looked like modern reconstructions - but I probably should have paid the extra to go into the Visitor Centre there.

Jonathan was fantastic!

The history and knowledge shared on the bus was vast, but told with humor and was interactive/fun. I had a 2 and 1 year old with me on my lap and I felt like the breaks were just perfect. The restaurant we ate at for lunch had really tasty clam chowder. Very windy at the cliffs so would recommend hair tie and maybe a hat. The bus seats were comfortable and it was a new bus. I would tour with this company again!
