What are people saying about Arizona

Outstanding tour
Absolutely awesome. Dandrick’s style is perfect — excellent communication (call and text the night before), encouraging, friendly, knowledgeable.
We were the first group out in the water in the morning and had the lake to ourselves. Got to the beach/canyons and were alone. It was awesome! Highly recommend and would go again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a fabulous morning!

Fantastic boat tour
Our captain Lans provided an enjoyable and safe boat experience on Lake Powell. I loved that it was a small group so it was more pleasant than being in a large group. After parking on the boat launch ramp, there’s a short walk down a sandy slope to the dock. Anyone with mobility issues might find it difficult. I do have problems with my knee but took it slow and managed it. Lans stopped the boat for photo ops and shared a wealth of knowledge of the area.

A great trip!
The kayak and hiking are wonderful and in a really unique area. The water level in Lake Powell is shockingly low - like 100' low and to get to the water from the boat ramp itself is a short, but steep, walk. Our guide gave us ample opportunity to explore and told us how the canyon has changed in the past few years.

Beautiful location. More...
Beautiful location. More strenuous than the description suggested, with more rowing required. Water level was low and we got stuck at one point, and at another we hit a rock and my brother fell out of the raft. Guide was knowledgeable and skilled.
Viator did not communicate my request to Cliff Creek Outfitters that we wanted to be put in with another group. When I actually identified the tour provider and called them directly, I had lost the opportunity to cancel our private tour and paid for four people when there were only two of us. This was Viator’s problem, not the operators of the activity and I am less than pleased about it. If you have less than four people, call Cliff Creek Outfitters directly to schedule.

I will say, if you’re not...
I will say, if you’re not a “group tour” kind of person and you’ve kayaked before, you could easily rent kayaks and do this route on your own and have a bit more flexibility. That said, the tour was great! Skyler was outgoing, offered to take pictures for us, and tried to cater to the group (asking if anyone had a hard end time or if we could go over a bit on time to get further into the canyon, on the way back asking if anyone wanted to go swimming or just head back). The water on Lake Powell was very smooth on the way out, slightly wavy on the way back, but we weren’t in peak busy season yet, so there weren’t too many boats. The water in the canyon was like glass. The whole paddle was incredibly scenic, and the hike was very beautiful. The next day we did a Lower Antelope Canyon tour through Dixie’s and that part of the canyon was completely unique and magical. If you’re looking for the classic Antelope Canyon experience, the paddle and hike isn’t the same as you would get with a tribal tour, but it’s still worth it, I was happy to have done both. Some logistics, follow the directions to the meeting point listed on Viator, you drive all the way down almost to the water. There are bathrooms at the top of the hill before you head down the boat launch. The only drawback about this tour is it’s a long time without bathroom access in a setting where you should be hydrating!

Awesome
Great experience and loved our tour guide. Very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable with the equipment prior to getting on the lake! Also appreciated a courtesy call regarding weather conditions and offered accommodations for our reservations If we were not comfortable with the winds! Overall, very worth it!

Relaxing cruise around the island.
This was a nice relaxing cruise that goes around the island and under London Bridge. Well stocked bar on board and a decent selection of draft beers. The cruise is about an hour and takes you past the many small lighthouses that mark the boundaries of the island. The sunset cruise is a nice experience before dinner or a night out.

Absolutely wonderful!
We went to the kayaking experience and lower Antilope canyon in the same day. If you only have time for one, go kayaking. Justin was our guide, and we had a blast! We started in the colarado river reservoir, with vertical cliffs reflected on the completely unperturbed water. As we go deeper into to canyon, it just keeps on getting better. The hike is kind of similar to lower antelope, but without all the people.
Justin knows a ton about all the geology, and he is just a very chill guy overall. 12/10.

Exceptional way to end our Grand Canyon trip!
I was traveling with my wife and twin 10 yr old boys. We all loved the views from the plane and since we had just taken a hike into the Canyon the day before (as part of the Half Day Hike with Only Canyon Day Hikes also offered here on Viator), we were able to see where we descended and ascended. All of my family and I enjoyed the plane flight. The terminal was easy to find. All of the crew and those in the terminal were friendly and courteous. The inflight presentation through the earphones was clear and enjoyable.

Amazing Kayak Tour!
It was amazing! Our tour Guide, Lee, was a great guide! There were three of us total, including him and it was very serene. Smaller tours are much better than larger ones, in my opinion. We got to enjoy the sound of the lake and wildlife. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Colorado River up close
We had a great experience with this company on 9/26/25.
We did the Horseshoe Bend rafting trip.
The company was very organized. After a comfortable bus ride of approximately an hour to Lee Ferry, we met our guide Tom for the trip. He was very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the area. We saw big horn sheep, wild horses and lots of ducks and other birds. The raft stopped once for a break and rest rooms and we were able to look at petroglyphs. It was very interesting. The bus ride back was also comfortable.
Overall a great way to see the beautiful Colorado River up close and learn its history.

Solo Travel
It’s a nice & easy rapid to follow. Seth, my tour guide is so nice & very patient with me. He makes sure that I am comfortable & safe all the way. We saw few hummingbirds, otter, yellow bird….dont know the exact name, also saw a blue Heron. Over all, my experience as a 1st time kayaker it was pretty great! Will definitely do it again.
