Wonderful tour of the Palace of Versailles
We were picked up at our hotel by a driver in a Mercedes van. After picking up two more people at another hotel, our driver took us to Versailles. When we arrived at the Palace, our guide Emma was waiting for us. She spent the next 2 1/2 hours giving us a wonderful tour of the inside of the palace. Emma was fabulous, kept the whole tour interesting, and never lost our attention. All four of us loved the tour and felt like we learned a lot from Emma. After the tour, we had about an hour to enjoy the outdoor gardens, and then our driver took us back to our hotels. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a similar experience.

Good tour of a busy palace.
It was a very good tour, and skipping ahead of the lines was great. We had a 10:00 tour. If you can go earlier I’d definitely recommend it. There were a ton of people there already at 10:00. Also use the bathroom at McDonalds early as it fills up fast.

Great tour to get your exercise in.
Make sure you wear tennis shoes or shoes with a thick sole because to do the gardens you are doing a lot of walking on uneven thick cobble stone pathways and plazas. And be sure you are able to do a lot of waking. This is not a tour for anyone who has mobility issues like needing a walker. It is not handicap accessible. Although they tell you all that up front. But still the shoes that I see some people wearing were not for excessive walking. This isn’t a tour to wear your cute sandals. Or flats with a thin sole. But other than that just take it your own pace and enjoy the day. It is a wonderful tour.

Opulence at its finest
We loved Florence who greeted us at Get Your Guide and took us on a 40-min bus ride to Versailles, a beautiful town. Once at the Palace we met up with another guide, whose name I regretfully have forgotten. She was lovely and extremely informative in our history lesson of the day. Versailles walks you through the opulence of French history from the 16th to 19th century. A very nice day indeed

Just outside of Paris, Versailles’ claim to fame is its 17th-century Palace of Versailles, the over-the-top gilded residence of Louis XIV. Tours of this UNESCO World Heritage Site often depart from Paris and include transportation, but you can also opt to meet your guide right in town and head off to explore together. The most popular Versailles tours involve exploring the palace and its opulent gardens on foot, but you can also opt for a tour that allows you to zip around in a golf cart instead.
