Great experience!

It was really fun! I definitely recommend it. Our tour guide, Chiara, was really informative and fun. She was so sweet and helpful. Our favorite part was the waterfall. Just make sure to wear sunscreen because there is some walking. The lantern part was okay. As cute and fun as it was, it was not environmentally friendly. We saw lots of the discarded lanterns up in the trees and the nature area. It’s a cute idea though.

Good tour to get you out of the city

Good bus tour to get out of Taipei for a day. Shifen Village appears to be mostly a tourist attraction and not particularly scenic. We didn't choose to set off a lantern but that was pretty much all there was there to do, and souvenir shopping. The waterfalls are right next to it and they are beautiful so the drive was worth seeing those. Jiufen is very scenic and we enjoyed stopping for lunch with a gorgeous view. The Geopark is quite small but the rock formations are one of a kind. Our tour guide Jerry was great! He always made sure to know where everyone was and took photos for everyone.

Thousand Island Lake and Tea Tour - loved every minute of it!

We had a fantastic tea tour today. Our guide David was so knowledgeable and friendly explaining about the area, tea culture and the history. He explained lots of things for us on the way too and from the area as well. The tour gave us a great introduction to the Thousand Island Lake area and Taiwanese Tea. The museum was very informative and our guide did a great job of leading us through it. The tea tasting was a wonderful experience- learning about the ritual and background of tea growing - it was fun and great to meet a family who have been involved in the tea business for generations.

Perfect Day trip if you have only a short time to explore Taiwan

Wonderful day traveling to the Geopark, coastline, waterfalls and cool little old town, Shiflen - all not too far from Taipei! We also painted a lantern to release into the air- so fun! Our guide, Jacky was awesome!! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited, and knew all of the great places to pose for pictures! The car was very comfortable and he had it stocked with water bottles. Bring cash for the little towns, the museum gift shops take credit cards. You may want to use an umbrella as you walk around - the sun was intense! Ask for Jacky - you won’t be disappointed!

Vincent is the best tour guide!!!! We had a great time in the tour. He contacted me a couple of days beforehand and was waiting for us at the agreed time. Vincent is super friendly and helpful and very funny. We loved all the places we visited. Vincent took us to a great restaurant in Jiufen. Our favorite activity in the tour was the sky lanterns!

While this itinerary was perfectly balanced and offered an outstanding overview of this beautiful country, the true magic of the experience came down to our tour guide. We are a family of five on a private tour. Tony, picked us up at our accommodation bang on time. He also communicated with us a day before the tour and gave us instruction what to bring. We didn’t feel rushed. We had been given ample time to enjoy the sceneries. Tony took us to a seafood restaurant. We didn’t have enough cash so Tony paid part of it and I paid him back after finding an ATM. This day trip is worth it. You feel relax with enough space to sit not feeling cramped. Tony treated us to Jiufen’s local delicacy of peanut ice cream wrap. It was delicious. I wish I had more. We missed the waterfall. It was our fault that we ran out of time. Tony was kind enough to compensate it, he allowed us to stop at Taipei 101 for a quick picture taking. I highly recommend booking your tour with Aviator. They are reliable.
